Weekend Trip to Petaurus Gardens

This place was awesome! Amenities were fantastic and the platform to camp on was an absolute life saver given it rained every night. The hosts were very generous and had some spare Mozzie coils and zappers for us to borrow which was greatly appreciated. Bring your gumboots and bug spray! We would happily come back here.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It is well equipped and on a beautiful property. Location was very convenient, and I didn’t hear any highway noise despite looking quite close by on the map. Rosemary and her partner were very lovely accomodating. Would recommend and will be back.

Staff friendly, great little cafe bar with a gated water slide play area where you can enjoy a coffee or beer whilst watching the kids go nuts. Close to the beach and toilets and showers available close to all the tent sites.

I had the most beautiful stay at the Peach Farm. I camped right next to the dam, where I was greeted by a group of ducks each morning and fell asleep to the sound of frogs. The site and facilities are really well maintained and Meg was very helpful answering questions and giving recommendations.

What a seriously delightful place. Camped by the dam with the peacocks and the ducks. A great undercover area to eat. A little bit of road noise as it’s quite close to the highway but you can overlook that. Farm animals to pat and ordered fresh eggs. Loved it.

What a brilliant spot! Stevey was such an accomodating host who was very flexible with options for us and the horses, catering to us when we arrived. Stevey was considerate around horse needs/size as to what paddock was offered and had a wonderful range of accomodation options. We felt extremely welcome and able to enjoy her beautiful property straight away! The location and facilities were absolutely amazing. Right on the beach with a fantastic pool and cabins for us to enjoy. We highly recommend!

OMG this place is awesome!!! Such a great setup for either a luxury or camping stay. We came with our horses for a 3 night stay. We had booked in for camping however due to the aftermath of cyclone Alfred the grounds were waterlogged so Stevey (our host) gave us a free upgrade to a bungalow. So kind and generous. We had an awesome getaway so well equipped & only footsteps (or should I say hoofsteps) to the beach. Soaking in the pool at the end of each day was an added bonus! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all. Thanks Stevey ❤️

Great site with lots of amenities close to the beach. Pool was lovely. My site was opposite the older amenities block which was super handy but it was worth the walk to the new block. Very warm & friendly staff. I stayed just after Cycline Alfred passed so it was very quiet with few guests.

We camped in a RTT and a camper trailer by the picturesque dam aka Papa Don’t Peach site 2. The farm is gorgeous and the little touches like a jasmine arch for photos and free roaming ducks and peacocks made our stay magical. The picnic tables at our site and some others were a great idea! Stargazing at the infinite Milky Way at night and waking to the sound of birds and cicadas was lovely. Highway was a little noisy, but to be expected I guess.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the Peach Farm is my favourite campsite experience ever (and I've travelled Australia). We paddled the kayaks, played with the animals, watched the stars and felt like we were the only ones there! Truly loved every minute, thank you!

1 night at Petaurus Gardens

This family run camp is only new. Chris lives on site and is catering to the eco camper. His knowledge and conservation of this pristine area is impressive. I setup camp down on the river that was easily accessible, and even has its own sandy beach! There are walking tracks all over the expansive property and is a bird lovers paradise. I was able to use their Kayak and have a paddle a few kms upstream flicking a few lures to try and catch that elusive bass that's still there. The amenities block had a nice hot shower, toilets and sinks. There are a number of glamping style tents that have been setup for those that like a bit of comfort or don't have the gear. There's plenty of wood around to have a fire. Great spot, not too far from civilisation but far enough to think your the only person on earth. I will definitely be back.

Took our campervan and were able to park right on the dam. Spacious site with a handy pizza kitchen close by. Owners were friendly without intruding. All in all a pleasant night and definitely a place to return to soon.

There are fresh herbs and eggs when in plentiful supply. Please use the worm bin for all your kitchen scraps. We have an amazing composting loo but NO SHOWERS yet. We are pet friendly however we do ask that you have your best friends on a leash AT ALL TIMES and please do not get too close to the alpacas, they are protectors and will become uneasy and distressed. We strongly believe in 'leaving no trace' so please be mindful of our animals, other happy campers and 'take only memories leave only footprints'.

As we are located in the secluded and sleepy cane fields of South Ballina there is limited access to shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. The Burns Point Ferry is the best way to get to us, it runs from 5:30am until 12.30am daily, consistently running back and forth. An approx. 8min journey each way and costs $7.00 each way, payable by credit card only. So you can easily go into Ballina town for all shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. If the ferry isn't for you, you can drive to Ballina via Wardell on River Drive. The bungalow is located approx. 25m from the main residence, and the campsite is located approx. 300m from the main residence tucked away in the paddocks and forest. We are onsite and available if needed. Sugar Beach Ranch is an operating farm with staff onsite caring for animals and maintaining the grounds. You have access to limited solar power to charge any personal devices as well as run camping fridge and smaller camping devices. Shower off with in the sandstone and copper outdoor gas hot water shower while staring out into the bushland. Keep quiet at night to experience the wallabies and possums who live on the property and come in to feed. Spend the evenings staring up at the night sky, with no light pollution as a result of being situated in the middle of 100acres of bush, the stars will be a whole new experience! ✨ For those winter evenings, use the fire pit responsibly to toast some marshmallows and share some quality connection with one another sharing stories and making memories. Alternatively cost up to the indoor fireplace. Look no further than the Lawrence tavern, a short 10 minute drive for your lunch and dinners, right on the river with excellent food, be sure to make a booking. Alternatively cook on the fire, use the bbq or your own camp cooking set up. Please ensure to take all rubbish with you, there is no bin collection to the property through council and by not storing and taking your rubbish you put our wildlife at risk. Garbage bags are on site for you to use and take your rubbish with you. There is a bin at the Lawrence park and river. You are situated 1hr inland from Yamba and the beaches, 30mins from Grafton as a local main hub and 35mins from Maclean. While in the area why not do a spot of fishing while the kids play at the Lawrence park which overlooks the Clarence River and jetty. Fuel and an excellent general store is located at Lawrence General store with a coffee cart open most mornings. So say yes to some down time. Explore the region and come back to a beautiful 100acre slice of quiet bush paradise. Camping toilets are available on site or bring your own. Soon to be upgraded to a composting toilet.

Welcome to Clearfield Estate. We are located 5 minutes from the historic village of Rappville in the Northern Rivers of NSW, and the property is always a unique work in progress. It's a peaceful, secluded 100 acre property. We are located 35 minutes from Casino where you can pick up your groceries and camping supplies. There's lots of great cafes and places to grab a bite to eat too. Our property is abundant with wildlife and has a huge well stocked dam with fish and yabbies. Bring a camera and capture the way the waterlillies dance on the surface of the water. We offer basic camping and an onsite trailer (indoor accommodation). We are off grid and supply our own power for the onsite accommodation. There is mobile phone reception available. Guests are welcome to use our BBQ area. We welcome self-contained campers at our campsites. You must have your own amenities. There is access to drinking water and rubbish facilities. We have a caretaker on site if you need help with anything or have any questions. 4WDs are recommended to access the campsite. No campfires please. Pets are welcome.

All beds have Doonas and Pillows. For groups of more than six, we have the 'Donga' next door, which sleeps up to another four. The Donga has its own bathroom and beds in one large room dormitory style. Doonas and pillows are supplied. 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Tea towels, Bath mats and hand towels supplied. BYO Sheets and Towels. Group bookings of up to 20 are welcome using additional room for tents. We offer capacity for up to 8 people in tents in addition to the 6 guests in the Hut and the 4 guests in the Donga. Access is only possible for 4WD. Our track into Hut is 4WD only. Peak time prices apply. There is no Wifi available however there is very good mobile coverage. Tinny’s or Kayaks can’t be put in directly at hut, however we can show you where you can put them in on our property. We have 2 tandem Kayaks available for your use during your stay - Kid’s must wear life jackets at all times when using the kayaks. Additionally, if you have booked the hut for 6 and under guests, however you would still like some privacy, an option in extras is to book the Donga also for $80 per night. STRA: Exempt
