PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance, however, we will be closing for a break from 18 December 2026 and reopening on 11 January 2027. Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean. To ensure all our guests have a comfortable and spacious experience, each campsite is designated for one camp set up only (eg one caravan or camper trailer or tent) This allows us to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of space between sites. The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet. Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

Whether you are launching a boat, stargazing by the fire, or exploring nearby coastal towns, this is your ultimate nature escape. The Living Area: A premium, thoughtfully designed tiny home packed with all the modern comforts you need to completely relax. Waterfront Access: Step outside to enjoy a private boat ramp and pontoon/jetty. Perfect for fishing, or launching your own watercraft. Outdoors: End your days around the private outdoor firepit. Complimentary firewood is provided for cozy evenings under the stars. The Location: You will be just a 15-minute drive from the boutique shops, supermarkets, and cafes of both Yamba and Maclean. Glenn & Zoe were very accommodating & welcoming & communicated well. Their property is just awesome! Easy to find & easy access to the 4 well maintained exclusive waterfront sites. Absolute peace & tranquility with everything you want when camping but don’t usually get all in the same location, expansive river views & access on any of the 4 sites to do whatever activity you want that involves water, the calming sounds of the ocean nearby, abundant water life & behind you have farm & bush life giving you the full experience with some of the starriest night skies I’ve seen on the coast with only a short easy drive to Yamba. We will be returning & thoroughly recommend coming & seeing for yourself

We loved camping here, so peaceful and quiet. The site was large and we'll maintained.Glenn and Zoe were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were able to use their boat ramp and jetty to launch and retrieve our boat. Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Glenn and Zoe’s campsite! We hired Sites 1, 2 and 3 and they were all perfect. Great condition, nice and flat sites, amazing location on the water and the paddock behind us. Beautiful views of the river and the sunsets in the fields, the stars were amazing at night. A very peaceful spot and very convenient into town. Highly recommend and will definitely be booking to stay again!

We loved our short stay at Riverside Rest! The surroundings were immaculate and peaceful! We enjoyed use of the kayak and the camp-fire setup was excellent! Host Zoe was very welcoming and friendly. We will return in the future and stay longer!

Glenn met us on our arrival, he was very helpful in getting us settled in. He offered us use of his canoes and said we were welcome to use the jetty directly in front of his house (which we did) All sites are on the waters edge. Number 4 being closest to the hosts house. We were on site 3. During our 2 night stay there was only one other camper/caravan at campsite 1. There is plenty of space between the sites. The whole camping area is very clean, tidy and nicely kept. It was very quiet and peaceful. Great for our rest day!! Love that they allow pets as we were traveling with a small dog. There are permanent fireplaces and the host has bags of wood for $15 if you don’t bring your own. One of their bags was enough for one night for us. Sadly we didn’t catch any fish but the other camper got a few nice flathead. I would return if I was back in the area again and would recommend it to others.

We had a lovely brief stop over at Riverside Rest, as part of a larger road trip. The sites were incredibly well set up - flat, good grass cover and right on the river. Our site (1) had a fire pit and was a good distance away from the other sites. We were able to purchase firewood and spent the evening fishing by the fire. We will def be back.

We’ve been here multiple times and managed to get a whole week this time. That should speak volumes. We always notice the little things that Zoe and Glenn do around the sites. We were here for the spring tides with water levels getting right up close to our site. The sounds of fish jumping and the reflection of the stars just make it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This hipcamp exceeded my expectations! We have wanted to visit for some time and I’m so glad we finally could! We usually go out and explore the area a lot on our stays but this stay made us want to just relax and hang around the beautiful setting on this property! The hosts were amazing as well!!
