On the Channel - fantastic place to set up and explore Yamba and Maclean. The camp sites are very well maintained, sites are spread apart and very private. Cathy is a great communicator and was very accommodating. We have highly recommended On the Channel to family and friends and we will also be back.

Super spot on the river - we could hear the fish jumping and we saw a few mud crabs on the river bank. Had a lovely fire and relaxing stay. There is a road not too far away so there is a bit of traffic noise but the location more then makes up for that. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Cathy, lovely spot 💕

Beautiful off grid spot.
Our whole family loved our stay here, lush green freshly mowed grass, great fishing spot and we had reception!!! (Vodafone).
Will definitely come back again!!

A neatly mowed patch of grass beside a river. The river is full of catfish and hundreds of jellyfish, so swimming is definitely not an option.
The location is next to a noisy road. The owner arrived to cut the grass at 9am, which made me feel uncomfortable, and there were also nearby building works adding to the noise.
Would I return? No, I’d rather explore other spots.
Would I recommend it? Nice view of the river and I caught a catfish but other than that it’s fine for a spot off if you are in and out
This will only suit someone who is fully self-contained with their own toilet and shower, as neighbouring residents have complained in the past.

This place was amazing! Pull up, unhook and relax. Kids had a great time fishing… caught about 30 fish in 2 hours! We only stayed for one night but wish we had time to stay for more!

We had a very relaxing few days here camped right on the river with our two dogs. Property was well maintained and even managed to catch some mud crabs and bream from off the bank!!

Beautiful and quiet place on the Channel. 2 x Campsites were a good distance away from each other so great for privacy.
Felt secure and safe as security camera upon entry.

We rate this hipcamp in the top 5 of all the hipcamps we have booked. Great location, flat area, plenty of room and space between sites, beautifully maintained, easy access, nice wide entrance for larger caravans, and great communication from host. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Flat, easy access, great communication with host, very quiet
Will definitely stay again
It was our second time at this place and once again this place is amazing. Just about 10 min drive to town, 8 minutes to coles and other shops.
This place is very private, quiet and peaceful.
We will definately come back again and again.

Well maintained site, easy access and only a quick trip off the highway and close to the main road. Perfect for our two night stop to visit with friends. Ample room for to camps, we had three campers during our stay and there was still plenty space to maintain privacy.

What a fantastic area to camp. Pristine grassed area right near the water. Plenty of space to relax fish if you want or do nothing. Not too far to drive to Maclean or Yamba which is near the beach or for shopping at both towns. Ideal for dogs.

This was our most favourite Hipcamp we stayed at over the prior five weeks travelling. A wonderful relaxing place to stay right on the river and very close to Yamba and the beaches. Cathy and Tony were the perfect hosts. Highly recommended!!
Great stay, very private and good location close to the township. Plenty of fish to catch along the river and lovely open grass area.

We loved caravanning at On The Channel.
It was easy to find, peaceful, quiet and our daughters loved easily catching Bream and Catfish!
Not to mention the beautifully green grass that was so welcome. We hope to be back!!

Great spot on the water plenty of room between camp sites . Other hip camp hosts should check out the set up . It’s close to Yamba Maclean and beaches yet sitting around the fire feels like you’re away from everything . Our dog loved it . Would recommend to others .
