I moved here from Sydney in 1987. In that time I have seen many changes. I have come to love the Bungawalbin and have formed a very real bond with the whole area and have learnt so much in the journey. Like most parts of the East Coast the land has been badly managed since European invasion in the way of logging, grazing, farming and burning practices that have degraded the diversity of what was once possibly the most diverse part of Australia. The bush is resilient but there is a limit to what it can withstand and I fear this precious wetlands is disappearing fast. 5 years ago bushfires devastated the whole forest leaving very little undamaged and it is still struggling to recover. Then catastrophic flooding in 2022 destroyed the homestead. The property offers spacious, private campsites in a natural and tranquil setting. Bush walking and birdwatching are a must, or just relaxing by the billabong may reward you with a wildlife encounter. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region. Kids will love the farm tour (4.45pm to 5.30pm daily) for the feeding of chickens, horse, sheep and goats. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well! Kayaks available for free. Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire and Repairs. linktr.ee/wrightyscaravans. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy. Pets allowed but you must have on lead when walking around the property near cattle. Note a maximum of 2 dogs per camp site. Rules: 1. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. I have come to love the Bungawalbin and have formed a very real bond with the whole area and have learnt so much in the journey. Like most parts of the East Coast the land has been badly managed since European invasion in the way of logging, grazing, farming and burning practices that have degraded the diversity of what was once possibly the most diverse part of Australia. The bush is resilient but there is a limit to what it can withstand and I fear this precious wetlands is disappearing fast. 5 years ago bushfires devastated the whole forest leaving very little undamaged and it is still struggling to recover. Then catastrophic flooding in 2022 destroyed the homestead. The property offers spacious, private campsites in a natural and tranquil setting. Bush walking and birdwatching are a must, or just relaxing by the billabong may reward you with a wildlife encounter. The property is just 5km from the beautiful village of Uki. Uki is a place where community spirit hums. Village markets every Saturday selling local foods and crafts. The Old buttery offers ‘the Uki Buttery Bazaar Market’ on the 3rd Sunday of every month. Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store. Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations. We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. Check in time is strictly prior to 7pm. There are only 2 sites available with power which is included in the site price. Check out our discount for single travelers and extras like eggs and firewood. The generosity of Rick and Cheryl was outstanding. My partner and I felt safe and was greatly appreciated of the hospitality. Firewood was offered once arrived and sites were clearly marked, with supplied fire pits. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Bundilla site 2 with power, it was a spacious grassy site close to toilets and river access. The river is amazing to swim and kayak in and was very refreshing and a great temperature! Kayaks are provided free of charge which is fantastic. The toilets are spotless and clean and we appreciated the herb garden which you are welcome to pick from. There are small fire pits for use at the camp site. Rick and Cheryl were both friendly and helpful and we'd love to visit again one day.

Enjoyed our stay at Bundilla, good size grassy spaces. Rick and Cheryl have done everything to make a camp here enjoyable including the cleanest long drop I have ever sat on with some quirky touches. A nice big grassy area for the kids with swings, boogie boards for the river rapids. Even picked a bit of lemongrass from the herb patch for a cuppa. I would say best suits a family get together with kids.

Camping by the river was wonderful and being able to launch our kayaks from beside our van made things very easy. Nice place to swim when it gets hot also helped although access a bit of a challenge. One and only downside was the traffic noise in the night seems to travel straight up the river. Enjoyed our stay and we will be back

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. 2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here. Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied. Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control. We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . Enjoy lovely grassed areas with ample shade for your camper-van, roof top tent, free standing tent or swag. We have seven (7) acres of fully fenced grassy paddocks, with mostly shaded open areas. We have a 2 night minimum and a 5 night maximum stay at both listings. We're located very close to Blueys Beach where you can stroll along the shore, go for a swim or help the kids build sandcastles. It’s a flat walk from your campsite, only minutes away along the footpath (approximately 350 metres) to local restaurants, cafes and shops. Those visiting with their furry family member can enjoy the nearest dog friendly beach within council regulated hours just a further 150 down the path. You can enjoy access to flushable toilets x 2 and a singular hot shower and a singular cold shower for those after the beach days, please BYO toiletries. We ask that you place all of your rubbish in the bins provided .. we can take your recyclable cans and bottles for the Earn and Return program. To clarify .. YES we have a garbage bin for general waste only .. no recycling bin. We allow campfires when it is safe. ALL fires must be contained in a fire pit. Absolutely no fires are to be lit on the open grass. WE have fire pits for hire and bagged firewood is available for purchase on site .. all fire pits brought onto the property for use by guests will be subject to the discretion of the property owners. All fires and fire pits must be "OK'd" with the property owners prior to lighting, what we're looking for is clearance from the ground to the base of the fire pit .. the greater distance the better. Fires can only be lit in accordance with NSW Rural Fire Services fire restrictions or total fire bans. We've had multiple patches of our buffalo lawn scorched to beyond charcoal by careless guests .. you must ask the hosts / property owners before lighting any fires .. unnecessary burnt patches of lawn may result in you and your guests leaving!! We ask you to please note: ** UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT TAKE ANY CARAVANS .. HYBRID CARAVANS .. MOTOR HOMES .. RV'S .. FIFTH WHEELER's .. BUSES INCLUDING MERCEDES SPRINTERS of any size .. mainly the footprint of these types of vehicles is far too great .. once again we're only a grassy paddock not a caravan park. Standard size camper trailers and camper-vans, roof top tents are all completely fine. If your bus is longer than 4 meters in length, over 2 meters in height and/ or width with a tare weight of 3 tonne or over SORRY BUT IT IS A NO!! If your camper trailer is wider than 2.5 meters or longer than 4.5 metres in length inclusive of the drawbar .. SORRY BUT ITS A NO!! If you have a Jayco of any description .. regardless of length / width OR what the "registration papers say" .. SORRY BUT IT IS STILL A NO!! - If you have solar panels to charge you might have to chase the sun a little, as there are plenty of shaded areas which is perfect come summer. We do not allow the use of "Slackline or Tightropes" strung between our trees, it causes them to be ringbarked after a prolonged use .. meaning they die in the long run .. rope clotheslines and hamocks perfectly ok on the palms, sheoaks and paperbarks!! - Dogs are permitted here however they must be friendly off leash and must NOT chase my pets which include horses, goats , dogs and our pet chooks. Please pick up after your pooch .. as a courtesy to other guests and also to us, it doesn't happen in a caravan park .. please do the right thing here!! PLEASE ADVISE US UPON BOOKING IF YOU ARE BRINGING A PET/PETS!! - There are animals that live here and they occasionally make animal noises. Specifically, we have a pet Rooster called Billy .. he is meticulous at his job of being a rooster and can start very early in the morning 4am We ask you to please be understanding during your visit, that this is Billy's home and we ask you to PLEASE RETHINK YOUR BOOKING if you feel this might impact on your holiday or your guests holiday. Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

A 150-acre working farm with a stunning outlook over the saltwater Maria River (with a rustic boat ramp and waterway running into the Hastings River). There is plenty to do and see at this hipcamp which was awarded to be one of the best hipcamps in NSW for 2024, and Australia wide for 2025! Located on the Mid North Coast NSW, 4kms off the Pacific Highway, and a quick 13/15-minute drive to the holiday township of Port Macquarie. Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. On a lush 286 acres backing onto Border Ranges National Park, we are surrounded by 3kms of creek with flowing slopes and beautiful sunset views of Mt Lindesay. For campers we are focusing on around 30 acres and spots close to Sawpit Creek would be ideal to set up camp. Bring your tent, swag or caravan and park up next to our beautiful Sawpit creek. Perfect for a swim! Currently there's a picnic table and some seating areas. We will be building a compost toilet and large BBQ area soon! Drinking water is available, and at the moment we are welcoming only self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. Your pet is welcome to camp with you. Our property backs onto Border Ranges National Park! And you can see Mt Lindesay from our property, so bring your camera! It's 15 min to Wiangaree and 35 min to Kyogle. The camping area is 2WD accessible but you will have to cross some creeks. You should be ok in the 2WD as the creek crossing has a small incline and decline. We welcome caravans, campervans and camper-trailers/ tents.​ You may see us pass by the camping area from time to time. We are a friendly as 😊 and invite you to have a coffee or beer with us. There's no internet by the creek but you're more than welcome to connect to the wifi at our shack up the hill. No campfires please.

There are still many beautiful buildings from that period to explore. A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle. Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township) We hope to make your stay a pleasurable one with many happy memories made.
