Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife. Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers. Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. We always have a presence on the property and have good Telstra coverage, so although you feel a million miles from nowhere you also feel secure.

Our property is a working Truffle Farm, our land is fairly level but backs onto thousands of acres of Crown Land and the Shoalhaven River where you can relax in the fresh water, fossick for gold or enjoy bush trails. EV Charging station available Type 2 plug (costs applicable). If you'd rather read a book, you'll find lots of peaceful spots and the nights are just unbelievable with all the stars that shine so brightly.

Loved staying here! Beautiful peaceful sites by the river, the n a great location. If you love Mountain Biking then this one is for you - an easy pedal to two different trailheads on the epic Mogo trails. Also not far from Mogo shops and cafes, the beach and the Mogo Zoo (I could hear the lions roaring from my site!) Darcy and Stacey are excellent hosts - great communication, friendly and helpful. Composting toilets were also kept spotless 🙌 Thanks for the stay, I’m sure I’ll be back!!

Site 4 was massive and was nice and flat to suit all types of camping. We had a rooftop tent and the level ground and large area made setting up a breeze. Hosts were great - lovely and friendly and checked in to see if everything was going well during our 2 night stay. Great value firewood too! Nice and quiet and as there are only 4 sites in total - you are not too close to other sites, even if there are group bookings. Make sure to bring enough water for drinking and washing as there is no water onsite, but the compostable toilets were clean and well maintained and hand sanitiser provided. Easy ride to the Mogo trailhead in town and an easy ride back to camp following last run down Alice in Wonderland. Will for sure stay again on our next trip to Mogo.

Our stay was amazing! even though there were other campers in the property, there was plenty of space between every camp. The hosts were amazing, Tricia came out to greet us when we arrived then they were doing rounds from campsite to campsite in the evening to provide more fire wood to anyone that was running low. The property was very nice and quiet, easy to get in and out of. It was a wonderful long weekend disconnecting from technology and looking at the stars with a nice camp fire and cuddling our dogs.

We had a delightful time at the Truffle farm. There was plenty of room, and eventhough there were other campers there,you would not have known. Tricia and Rainer were so accommodating, checking to see if we needed more firewood, and dropping it off for us, and just in general lovely hospitable hosts. There was a porta a loo which was great too. We were invited to come and meet the animals and had a quick tour of the other facilities on the farm. It was great also to do some 4WD in the bush. I couldn't recommend Tricia and Rainers property more highly. We will be back again. Thank you.

This is my 4th time staying here and it is always so peaceful and beautiful. Each spot won't disappoint and are far away from the other campers that you don't see them or hear them . Plenty to do and explore with the kids as well .
