The camp itself is lovely. The views of the mountain and surrounding river are beautiful, and the hosts were kind enough to leave us some firewood, which was a really welcome touch.
That said, there are a few things worth knowing before you visit. The access road is quite steep and becomes very slippery when wet â we'd strongly recommend a 4WD vehicle, as a 2WD may struggle to get out safely after rain and there is no mobile reception for rescue.
The toilets were the biggest concern of our stay. They were visibly unclean â with waste on the seats, a strong urine smell, and rubbish and empty toilet rolls left scattered around. It was clear they hadn't been cleaned in a while. Definitely bring your own toilet paper! We also experienced persistent sewerage odours around the campsite, which significantly impacted our comfort throughout the stay.
It's a shame, because the setting really is beautiful and the hosts are genuinely welcoming. With more regular maintenance â particularly around the facilities â this could be a fantastic campsite.
