Berry & Beach

9 sites ¡ Tents7 acres ¡ Far Meadow, Shoalhaven
Amazing location so close to everything the beautiful Shoalhaven has to offer: beaches, wineries, hiking, kayaking, and more! A 5-minute drive to beautiful Berry town, 5-minute drive to Seven Mile Beach/Shoalhaven Heads (with an amazing off-leash dog area), and 15 minutes to Gerroa/Gerringong. 25-minute drive to Kangaroo Valley. 45-minute drive to Jervis Bay. Lovely forested area adjacent to our house, on acreage with views over paddocks and Coolangatta Mountain (Cullunghutti) in the distance. At the moment we have sheep, cows, and even a couple of miniature horses!  Please note that although the suggested camp area is adjacent to our house, there are trees in between and we will be sure to respect your peace and privacy. The sites are not specifically allocated - just arrive and pitch in the general area specified. Happy to discuss other areas on the property too, if you want to be further away...but you will not be as close to bathroom facilities (so you either will need to walk or have your own camp toilet and dispose of yourself off the property). Each booking/site is for one tent only. PLEASE NOTE: the site is not suitable for large vans or RVs. There is a luxury shared bathroom/shower (please do not flush anything other than toilet paper), and a communal campfire with seating available for use, but you will need to bring your own wood. Individual campfires are possible but you will need to bring your own pit and large wood. There is generally a lot of kindling you can use. It is only a short 30 second walk to where you can set up your tent. Please note, due to limited sites, you need to park your car in the gravel carpark. It is fine to unload if you have access (i.e. no tents already in the way) but then please promptly park your car back in carpark. All rubbish/recycling to be taken with you. Please read the rules of the property. Dogs are allowed off leash if well behaved and will stay in the vicinity of your tent. They are not to disturb other campers, otherwise they need to be restrained at all times. Dog poo to be picked up immediately. Please also be aware that this is a farm with fenced dams and inherent risks. While children regularly stay without issues, it's important to remain cautious and mindful of these risks. Fire safety: Do -Ensure fires are currently allowed -Check to see if fires are currently prohibited for any reason. -Use a fire ring in a cleared area. Sparks can fly! Make sure they stay away from dry brush and that your fire is contained. -Fully extinguish the fire with water. Use water until the hissing stops, and feel a few inches above the ashes to make sure they are cool. Don’t -Leave the fire unattended. A gust of wind could cause your fire to get out of control. Being attentive is key! -Use flammable liquids. Lighter fluid can cause a fire to dangerously flare up and get out of hand. -Build a large fire. Your fire should always be under control and easy to extinguish at any time. Thanks for being careful. Enjoy!

'Elouera Vale' Farm

15 sites ¡ Lodging, RVs, Tents140 acres ¡ Mittagong, Wingecarribee
Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys. Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life. The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar. The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale). While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. Visit cellar doors in the hills and valleys around Mittagong, including Centennial Vineyards. Enjoy a pleasant wine tasting experience at Centennial (don’t forget to mention us). The Camel Cottage offers a luxe off-the-grid escape for couples just one hour from Sydney but feels like "miles from anywhere". The Gums Cottage is a fully contained, off-grid modern getaway, surrounded by the magnificent white gum trees that are its namesake. The serene setting and stylish interior of The Gums provides all the essentials for a picturesque and peaceful country escape. The White Gum Forest Retreat offers campsites nestled in a white gum forest, not far from a beautiful trickling creek. There is access to toilets and a small dam near campsites for water supply for showers where required. For a truly memorable experience we recommend hiring our function space, White Gum Forest Functions, which is available for day visitors as well as guests staying overnight in our cabins and campsites. Why not book your next special family group gathering, milestone birthday or wedding here! The function space can cater for up to 50 guests, please contact us with your time and date requirements before booking. Feel spoilt in the midst of beautiful waratahs, grevilleas and ferns, watching camels grazing in the adjacent paddock. It's like being on a safari! There is 5G mobile telephone reception at the farm so you can reconnect with the world if need be. No pets please.

Buxton Getaway

3 sites ¡ RVs, Tents19 acres ¡ Buxton, Wollondilly
Located just one hour from Sydney, our property features 19 acres of pure serenity with two dams and one large enough to kayak on (kayaks supplied). The back of the property is perfect for camping and suitable for a small to medium caravan/camper. The larger dam has a picnic area and kayaks available to paddle on. Adjoining our property is Nattai National Park with a lovely 20 minute walk down to Little River. The Aqua Pool Trail in the National Park is just gorgeous. If you wish to try and catch some yabbies from the dams the only allowable and fun way is by a long stick and sausage. Hooks, fishing lines and traps are not allowed as we have people, dogs and horses swimming in the dams. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their shower/toilet set up. We do have two drop pit toilets available and each campsite has a pit fire provided. We are getting low on firewood so you will need to bring some along with you. There is access to drinking water. Our property is 2WD accessible and can accommodate small caravans and camper trailers. Not far from Buxton is Thirlmere where the Steam Train Museum is and train rides are available on the weekends, a great activity for the kids. Thirlmere Lakes National Park is perfect for a relaxing picnic, walk, birdwatching, and glimpse into locomotive history. Mittagong and Bowral have great wineries with restaurant/bistro. Pets are welcome. There's a range of different bushwalking trails in the region, including Starlights trail, a scenic bushwalk suited to experienced hikers, which forms part the Greater Blue Mountains trail network between Mittagong and Katoomba.

Hillside Bush Getaway

25 sites ¡ RVs, TentsFalls Creek, Shoalhaven
Situated on 40 acres of natural bushland with an abundance of wildlife and birds. We are located an easy 15 minute drive from the stunning South Coast beaches, Huskisson and of Jervis Bay, and 10 minutes south of Nowra. I've done lots of caravanning myself and always loved a place like this to spend a few nights. It's quiet, safe to leave your van here and go out in the day and explore the area. It's the perfect base to explore the Jervis Bay area, there is lots to see and do...or you may decide to do nothing but sit around, relax and take in the peaceful surrounds. We don't offer any amenities so our place suits campers who have their own toilet and shower and leave no trace. Leave the site as you found it. Grey water okay to go on the ground. Dog friendly, please keep them on the lead and well controlled. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, wood around for you to gather your own. The road is sealed all the way to front gate. After the gate is fairly smooth unsealed. IMPORTANT! Directions to my place are a bit tricky so check MY TRIPS in your profile once your booking is confirmed.

Yerrinbool Kent Street Farm

6 sites ¡ RVs, Tents17 acres ¡ Yerrinbool, Wingecarribee
Yerrinbool is 1 hour from Sydney and a great spot to spend a weekend away, 15 mins from Bowral and 10 mins to Mittagong There are animals on the farm including ducks, chickens, goats, sheep and sometimes even baby cows. The property does need a little clean up but the rear of the property is nice and tranquil. We are directly next to the HWY so sometimes there is road noise, but it's a great location for an easy stopover. Easy access for caravans, keeping in mind the weather as like in all areas it becomes soft when wet. Please note, while we do permit more than one car per site booking, we only allow 1 caravan per site. So if you are in a group with more than 1 caravan, you will need to book multiple sites. Any questions, please let us know. We also have a toilet in a small cabin close to the house for people who are using tents and water if you're required to fill your tanks or rinse off. We have two dams with yabbies you are welcome to collect. If you do collect some please be respectful in the amounts you collect and also throw some raw meat and or frozen veggies like peas and corn into the dam to provide food for the others to grow.
