A property with amazing river access a history of great fishing and gold panning. The steep terrain adjacent the river lends itself to some fantastic scenery, the perfect place to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet. Grab a tube and float down the river rapids, or just relax in camp listening to the sounds of nature. We have an abundance of bird life and wild cattle roaming the property, theres so much to see and enjoy With a small number of sites on the property you're sure to feel like the only ones in the world. Currently access is 4WD recommended due to the steep terrain. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD. AWD and rear wheel drive vehicles are fine, though good idea to check with us FWD vehicles are NOT permitted. Good ground clearance is required

An abundance of steep terrain trails and flat camping areas adjacent a scenic and fresh flowing river. Each site is private and spacious to give you that, Nobody Else In The World Feeling Camping, Hiking, gold fossicking, biking and fishing all till your hearts content! Rocky river fishing thus far has found freshwater Cod (catch and release), Bass, Catfish and Eel’s a plenty, 2.4km’s of river with crystal clear water to enjoy for the perfect relaxing weekend. Sites will be allocated by Hosts depending on group requirements. 4WD access is recommended and experience with off road driving an advantage due to the steep dirt access road. Any towing MUST be done with a 4WD Talk to us before booking for other vehicles as some RWDs and AWDs are ok. FWDs are NOT permitted Small camper trailers fine. Talk to us about your caravan or other requirements before booking. There are limited spaces available for caravans, so its imperative you check with us first. Relax and unwind in your own Fire Tub along the rivers edge watching the stars and listening to the sounds of the river flowing. Your Fire Tub will be set up prior to your arrival so all you have to do is heat up your tub and enjoy. We kindly ask no soap products are used in the Tub, as water is emptied back into the river system. Remember to bring your own firewood. We'd appreciate it if on departure you remove bottom hose to allow water to drain

Completely off grid this property offers the ultimate in unplugging and relaxing Furnished with a queen size bed, and single mattress available on request. All linens provided. For larger groups there is plenty of room to set up your own additional tents or swags. Adjacent private shower/toilet block On the river bank is a deck complete with shade umbrella, outdoor table and chairs as well as two sun loungers, perfect for relaxing. We have the best time every time we visit Eagle Ridge! Each camping spot offers a unique experience, which makes every stay special. This is by far our favourite Hipcamp, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We always look forward to coming back! 🌿🏕️

It was a pretty awesome little spot with all the amenities you could possibly need. Some highlights for our kids and us were the indoor chimney/stove and the hot tub by the river, very cool idea there, even if we found it hilarious the wild cattle were using the bath as a drinking trough on their way through. Extra special that you can bring your dog/s as well. Possibly needs a little extra love and attention as a few parts need slight repairs. The hosts pretty much thought of anything you might want for such a stay and we had a great experience.

Absolutely beautiful serene very remote Aussie bush camping, with plenty of room to yourself and river running beside your camp. We stayed at the "Lila" camp and loved that we had some cows pass through both days. There was no 100% level spot for our big tent but we were still super comfy. Only downside is the track in and out - it definitely is a 4WD track and you're in trouble if you want to pop out in a hurry or if someone is coming the other way; , one of you would have to back out and it's a long way in. Apparently the owners are wanting to fix the road in and possibly make a second track in which would make this place perfect. Getting in and out was the only downside to this place; it really is a bit of a mission and it would be a nightmare if a vehicle came the other way. Overall you couldn't imagine a better place to camp in the bush, we loved our time there as did our dog. It was great to see nobody and to be disconnected from technology. If you're looking to really get away from it all, you'll love it here.

This is my second time here. This time did not disappoint either, it’s such a gorgeous spot to camp. If I didn’t see other campers as I was coming in I wouldn’t have even know other people were here, my camp felt very private. Had a great stay at Eagle Ridge. Kristy was a great host, supplying all the information we needed when we needed it. The site was amazing, right on the creek with plenty of firewood and very private. Plenty of birdlife and we actually saw a few fireflies. The ridgeline changed colours throughout the day and in the afternoon was really spectacular. Can’t wait to go back

Absolutely loved our stay. Will be back again real soon. Fallen Rocks is where we camped. A few people must of been confused what site was theirs as they would walk through our site to access the creek, between our fire and tent. Apart from that we loved our second time stay

Fabulous camping spot. Private with stunning views to granite cliffs and creeks. Water was low when we were there but still found swimming hole. Lots of bird life. Friendly, responsive hosts. We will be back!

Great spot to set up camp on the river. Unfortunately we had to leave as there was a bush fire very close to us. The thick smoke triggered my wife’s Asma. Will definitely be back

Had a really good family time couldnt get the kids out of the creek or the missus great campsite. Few scratch marks in the dash fom the wifes fingernails on the drive in and out but the kids and i loved it ha ha all in all great time

Rocky River Glamp Tent
For us, this was a near perfect experience. We are not experienced campers and don't typically do camping getaways, but we wanted to do something outdoors with our 5 and 9 year old sons. We went with the big tent accommodation option and it was perfect. The site is self-contained enough that you don't need to worry about cooking, toilet or shower facilities, but remote enough that modern conveniences and entertainment (TVs, computers, phones etc) were not an option. There are loads of places to explore and climb, or you can chill out, swim, and rest. We visited in mid September, so the days were warm and the nights were cool - perfect for day activities and getting fires going at night. The only minor thing we would do differently next time is to bring a full size four wheel drive or more rugged SUV. Our SUV was probably okay, but having no off road driving experience, we were a bit nervous. But if you are steady, it is manageable. Really happy with the adventure.

Rocky River Glamp Tent
This was our third stay at Rocky River Glamp Tent, and it just keeps getting better every time! We visited with our two children and our dog, and there was something for everyone to enjoy. We explored new places, had picnics, went fishing, used our stand-up paddleboard and enjoyed some beautiful hikes. Kristy and Dan are wonderful hosts who always make us feel welcome and well looked after. The property is kept in excellent condition, and each time we return, we can clearly see how much hard work and care they have put into improving it. Some friends joined us for one of the weekends, and everything went smoothly with no issues at all. It’s a fantastic place for families, friends and pets to relax, explore and enjoy the outdoors. We always leave looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended!

The "Cove" site was amazing. The sound of the running rapids was the highlight and the proximity to the non flushing toilet was a bonus. We had a large group so the extras stayed at the North Runway which was great to be close but not on top of one another. The birdlife was another highlight, the cows, the goannas, were amazing to see too. The road down (4WD) only was easy and fun!

Great communication. Amazing spot to spend a couple of nights. The drive down will definatly require low range 4wd and trailer brakes if your towing. Only one toilet so next time I will bring my own.

Eagle ridge is a beautiful campsite. Dan and Kristie were lovely and it was super easy to find. The campsite was so pretty and really private even with campers on nearby sites. The river was clean and refreshing. Will definitely come back.

It’s a great spot, we have been a few times and this time all the sites were booked but was still so private. Hot tub was an added luxury, so relaxing watching the stars when it got cold. A favourite of ours that we will keep coming back to.

Yet again this place did not disappoint!! Tiny house accommodation was A1 as usual, the views spectacular and having a visit from Kristy to top it all off. You guys are always so accommodating and it was great to have a chat. Leaving on Sunday morning is always hard and this time our furbabies were very somber too.....we will return to this beautiful location again and again!!!

Perfect private river front camping

We were blown away by the beauty of all the sites when we arrived, the area is stunning and the water was crystal clear! End of July but still went for a dip. The sites are super private, we had people staying on both sides of us and we wouldn’t have known they were there if not for the sound of chopping firewood. Bring your chainsaw as you can collect for any trees that are chopped down. There is one toilet, which is a few minutes walk along the well marked paths from the sites. There is a small herd of cows which hang around but happily keep their distance. The hosts were super communicative, making the stay a breeze. All sites are clearly marked and there is a big sign at the end of the fun drive in. They send you a map also so you know where to go, and a list which even includes fishing tips! We have this spot saved now as our favourite and are so excited to visit again.

THE BEST GETAWAY! Couldn’t fault our stay at eagle ridge. Instructions were so easy to follow and felt so welcomed! Such a beautiful spot and the facilities were amazing for our glamping stay. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Hipcamp experience. Will definitely be back again!

The tiny home at Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat was cozy and beautifully set in nature. When we arived Kristy and Dan were getting the hot tub going for us 10/10 would recommend getting in, was peaceful, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would happily stay again.

Exceptional river access.

This site has exceptional access to the river and what a beautiful river it is. The sites are private and you have your section of the river to yourselves. There is a relative steep, ~1km rocky downhill dirt entry track off the main road that requires 4WD and definitely low range if towing, but the rewards at the bottom are worth the effort.
