Where do I start? Greeted on arrival by lovely host, Bruce. Lucky for me, I had the place to myself, so Bruce gave me a tour and let me wander river/mid/top camps before settling on top camp.
I chose top camp for the beautiful 360° views and stunning sunset - but be aware, it can get windy up there! So set up camp accordingly (I parked my car as a windbreak).
Bruce keeps the place immaculate and has put thought and effort into his camp. Amenities include portaloos scattered around and also a few permanent little dwellings that contain flushing toilet and hot shower - complete with solar setup to run lights and even a little usb charging station.
Couple of sinks about with fresh water for washing up.
In the morning, you’ll likely spot Fred, resident steer, around the trough in midcamp. Bruce spotted me and came over with some bread and carrots for me to feed to Fred.
Overall, a lovely stay. I’ll be back!
