Welcome to Aloomba Lavender Farm.
We offer bush camping with powered and unpowered sites. This means you will not be placed very close to other vans unless you are friends and choose to be together. In many cases you will be able to choose where you wish to park.
Not all sites are level, but you are able to site your camp/ van as you wish. There are no cement pads. There is access to toilets and hot showers. You may have to walk some distance to the amenities but the solitude, the quiet, safety and stars make all worthwhile.
There is a dedicated firepit and firewood is supplied.
We can supply no water other than sufficient to cook dinner. You are welcome to use some of the vegetables and herbs but not to strip the vegetable garden! If in doubt - ask.
We have great coffee and Devonshire teas but we are not a cafe. However there is a great little lavender shop where you can buy our own lavender essential oil, or a cake of soap or a Baggallini Handbag.
We are dog friendly! We welcome well behaved dogs.
We are 20 km from Stanthorpe. You may see wildlife or cattle through the fence and an occasional vehicle going down the road. We have a sealed road all the way to our boundary and then drive through the lavender.
If you visit in late November through to early December you will enjoy our lavender flowering, but the plants look very pretty all year around in neat rows.
We are a commercial farm so there is the need to work to the rhythm of the lavender.
Loved staying at Aloomba, easy to find, Tim was a great host. I chose a time that was off season, quiet and peaceful. The property is well kept, facilities great, shady or sunny locations. Woke up to cows walking past in a nearby paddock, with countryside views all around. Will definitely be going back.
Such a peaceful little spot, not too far out of Stanthorpe. Even though the lavender had been harvested already, the air was filled with fragrance. We stayed one night but if we could have we would have stayed longer. Super clean and new amenities too. Everyone we came in contact with were really friendly. Great scones too!
I camped on a powered site in a tent with my 2 dogs and absolutely loved it. One of the best stays I have had on hipcamp. The location was fabulous- quiet and dark at night, 20 minutes drive to Stanthorpe and about 40minutes drive to where most of the wineries are. The grounds were preened, pretty and had some lovely views. Super impressed with the toilets and showers, modern and clean and always had toilet roll! The lavender shop was cute and had an outdoor seating area for coffee and scones or lavender icecream (which was sooo yummy). It was nice to see the general public parking up and dropping in to the shop to buy lavender gifts or to stop for a scone. Rob and his partner were fantastic! They gave me a few different options of where I could set up and I even went for a walk around the grounds with them and their 3 dogs which was really welcoming. Great couple and can tell they care. I would definately come back and highly recommend. I'll be back for sure me and my puggies loved it! Thank you!
