As part of this we have to follow some simple protocol! Unfortunately, we have had some issues with local council, we ask that you follow these simple rules extremely closely failure to do may cause us to reject your booking and may incur penalties to both of us as the landholders and also the camper.
1. STRICTLY No Caravans, RV's, Tents or any camping site is to be set up within 50 meters of the creek.
2. No more that 20 people camping on the property at one time - we must know your exact numbers.
3. Zero impact to the land and surrounds, treat it like you would a National Park.
4. ALL WASTE must be bagged and taken off site with you. The rubbish bins in the street are not ours. They belong to the people that live in the valley. You must be prepared to take all rubbish home with you.

We are "The Sleepy Hollow Manor Estate" located in the heart of the breathtaking Sleepy Hollow Valley which is hidden snugly between the small seaside town of Pottsville and the Tweed Valley.
Once you're here you feel all your worries and stress drift away as you unwind and relax in the Manor estate and its surrounds. A farm with a difference, with a small-scale ECO low impact primitive camping style.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility as you hear the birds or just sit watching the water trickle through the creeks and waterholes. We have array of wildlife on our estate and its surrounds.

We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle. We have GOOD mobile phone signal, Five hot showers and 8 clean flush toilets in our campground plus we have FREE WIFI in the communal area (dinning tables/chairs/fridges/pool table/TV...) for all the campers.
2 mins to South Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop in Tea Gardens, 11 minutes to surf beach Bennett Beach 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach in Hawks Nest
Pets are welcome please pick up after them. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times as you cannot predict what other campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is not welcome here.
Each site all has a fire pit free to use. Firewood is $25 per bag for 20kg of hardwood or BYO.
Hot showers and decent flush toilets, Good mobile phone signal and free wifi in the communal shed. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have 4 sites with shade, the rest without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control.
We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents.
2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking.
3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite.
4) NO check in after 9:00 pm. If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. If you arrive after sunset make sure you have a torch. If in doubt call.
5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow.
6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure.
7) We cannot control the wind, the sun, rain, or lack of rain.

Kids will love the farm tour (4.00pm to 5.00pm daily, later in summer months) for the feeding of chickens, ducks, bunny rabbits, horse, donkeys, sheep and goats. It's an excellent area for mountain bike riding as well!

Don't have a caravan, we have partnered up with Wrighty's Caravan Hire and Repairs. They offer family caravans delivered, setup ready for you to enjoy.
Pets allowed but you must have on lead when walking around the property near cattle. Note a maximum of 2 dogs per camp site.
Early check in available upon request. Free if you are staying more than 1 night. No check prior to 12pm.
Rules:
1. For the piece and quiet of other campers all check-ins must be before 5.30pm during the colder months. Check ins after 7pm may be turned away in busy times.
2. No Fireworks - this is very unsettling for our livestock
3. 9pm quiet time.
4. No drones in the camping area, for the privacy of other campers
5. Generators are allowed for short period of time but not permitted after 8pm.
6. Dogs on leads when walking around the farm - Limit of 2 dogs per camp site.

I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage.
You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi.
Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent.

Life on the Farm
Days here follow the rhythm of the land and the river. Wander through the cane, taste sweet juice straight from the stalk, and see how sugarcane is grown and harvested. Enjoy bike riding, walking trails, quiet fishing spots, and kayaking or canoeing straight from the property. The Ashby Creek swimming hole offers a calm, sheltered place for a refreshing dip.
Life on the River
This part of the Clarence is famous for water skiing, boating, and long, glassy stretches perfect for exploring. The fishing here is excellent, with calm water and plenty of great spots right from the property. We often boat across to Maclean for supplies, giving guests a real taste of river life.
The sunsets here are something else — short, stunning bursts of colour that light up the whole river and paddocks. As the sun drops, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep orange, and the Clarence reflects it all like glass. It’s a quiet, peaceful moment where everything slows down and the whole farm glows.
Exploring the Clarence Valley
There’s plenty to do nearby — enjoy a meal at the Harwood Hotel, stop for morning tea on Chatsworth Island, or join in local favourites like the Maclean Cane Harvest Festival, Maclean Highland Gathering, Yamba, Iluka and Brooms head famous beaches and the Grafton Races. It is located just past Anna Bay village which is 2.5km away, and the entrance to Worimi Conservation Lands the largest moving Sand Dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, where you can 4WD, swim, surf, or enjoy a camel or horse ride.
We have off-street parking with the car park area alongside the only car-free campground in Port Stephens.
There is a limited space for Kombi vans/Rooftop campers; no tents are allowed in this section.
A large, open grassy area surrounded by tall melaleuca trees is perfect for pitching a swag or setting up a tent for camping.
You are not limited to a small site; you can use as much space as you desire, and we ask that guests respect others and give each other some room.
In addition to the camping area, there is a small off-street, shaded area for a small number of campervans.
There are no powered sites, and sorry, but we do not take caravans.
All guests have access to the facilities, including warm showers and toilets, a large Main building housing double kitchens with crockery and cutlery, toasters and kettles. There are indoor and outdoor covered seating areas, a free gas BBQ on the decked area, and free Wi-Fi.
The Tomaree Peninsula has 26 beaches with numerous walking trails, including the recently upgraded Tomaree Coastal Walk and plenty of water activities including Dolphin and Whale watching cruises, diving, surfing, kayaking, fishing and snorkelling.
Nelson Bay is 8 km from our site and the main tourist centre with plenty of restaurants and cafes, and there are more clubs and food options dotted around the peninsula.
Over the Winter months, we have small fire drums for hire; you will need to bring your own firewood. All fires must be contained and raised off the ground.

The camping sites are for individual groups, you will not be sharing your space with others. It is a working family farm, 115 acres of mostly cleared land, which is a nice amount of space between the burgeoning towns of Byron and Mullumbimby. During your stay you can just kick back and relax overlooking the farm which produces beef cattle and fingerlimes, but with the convenient distance to towns and beaches, you can also use it as a base to very easily explore all the region has to offer: Byron Bay and Bangalow (15 mins), Brunswick Heads (10 mins), and Mullumbimby (6 mins), all offering great dining, local market, and retail experiences. Your own privacy, combined with the convenience of easy access to beaches and the wonderful Rail Trail, make this place a great holiday choice! A recent exciting development with the property is a partnership with Bangalow Koalas resulting in over 4000 habitat and food trees being planted thus far. We are also doing regenerative pasture care via composting aerobic brews, so both of these projects will be interesting to see how they go.

Nestled at the base of Mount Coolangatta our little property is within 5mins drive to 3 wineries, Shoalhaven Heads Beach and local clubs and pubs. The property backs onto a lovely quiet inlet of the shoalhaven river, perfect for exploring by paddle board or canoe. Fires permitted when conditions allow and in designated areas. Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. The campground sits away from the main road so plenty of peace and quiet.
There are goats, peacocks and chicken in a paddock up the hill from the campground and a horse paddock with 6 horses down the property road.
We do have a well water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1).
We have 6 different sites for caravans, RVs or tents. No toilets on site so you must be self contained.
It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land.
You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. There are a few billabong/ creeks and a mowed nature walk path.
We also have a Cabin available for rent if you are looking for something more.

Absolutely loved the trip! The sites are very spacious, right next to a river where you can swim or use the free kayak that are available. (We even saw some turtles)
Getting to the location was very easy to find and the host were very nice. They even have a feed the farm animal where you can interact with a range of different animals ($1pp each day) it was pretty good, great for little kids. There is even a small playground with swings that can keep the small ones entertained.
There’s toilets (pits) but are very clean and looked after. No showers but there is a sink with water. No BBQ but there is a communal area that is undercover. Would recommend for a weekend away!

I’d like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to Allan the host. What a legend. My car battery went flat, so he not only helped me to recharge my battery with his generator, but also offered to drive my girlfriend and I down to Bruns for the day whilst we wait for the battery to recharge. Such a great campsite. My fav part is the outdoor shower looking over the meadow. We were blessed with a clear sky, so we got to see the sunrise and sunset. Definitely will revisit this campsite in the future 👍🏼

Mei and John were fantastic hosts that were full of humour and responsive with every question we had! The site was private and quiet at night which made falling asleep very easy. The campground is large and has a private fire pit at each site for campfires. They also have a thoughtful communal area with fridges/freezers and hot showers on site. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a campsite on the mid north coast. With their constant upgrades, we can't wait to visit them again!
