Welcome to Our Kindred Acres, our 92-acre peaceful natural escape for kindred folk. As you enter the gates, there’s a feeling many guests talk about… like the land gently wraps her arms around you. This is a place to slow down, breathe out, and leave the outside world behind. 🌾 The Property Explore: 10 acres of cleared, lush open space 80+ acres of natural bushland, rainforest, and wilderness Walking and riding tracks (weather dependent) Whether you’re here for a night or a few days, it’s an ideal stop to rest your weary head in a safe, quiet, and secure environment. ✨ Stay Your Way We welcome: RVs, caravans, camper trailers, and tents We also offer on-site accommodation for those wanting a little extra comfort — including Allan's Place and GypsyBlu Studio, available to book right here through Hipcamp. 🍳 The Camp Kitchen At the heart of OKA is our much-loved “you beaut” camp kitchen, often described as the best guests have seen. A shared space to cook, connect, or simply sit and take it all in. Please leave it clean and tidy for the next kindred soul. 🌏 Location Perfectly positioned just 7km from Bulahdelah (sealed road to the gate), between Newcastle and Port Macquarie. Within easy reach: Myall Lakes Seal Rocks Forster & Port Stephens Gloucester region Beaches, lakes, mountains and bushland — all within a short drive. 🌿 The Experience This is not a caravan park. This is space, simplicity, and nature at her best. The photos don’t do it justice…. What a magnificent spot just 10 mins outside of Bulahdelah. Tranquil location smothered in such a welcoming camping location. Chooks and a lovely friendly stumpy tail catle dog named Ruby. Kellie and Rod were perfect host and got to see them putting on a big group camping trip with Xmas in July being themesd. What efforts she showcased with the decorating. So impressed. Wife and I have a 18 month old and the spit set up for younger family with a little fold land set up outside kitchen area right and close to the 2x chooks yards. My son was enthralled with some pats of the chooks and a an albino rabbit named mis Molly. Wish I found this earlier… we’ll be back Kellie & Rod, thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We were looking for a quick one-night escape and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place. Kellie and Rod were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The whole place has such a peaceful feel to it. We loved wandering the nature walk, the amenities were really clean, and the shared space/kitchen were awesome. You can tell Kellie/Rod put their whole heart into this place. And of course, Ruby, the friendly, cheese-loving dog was a warm welcome! Such a special place to switch off and relax. We’ll definitely be back.

What a welcoming and relaxing place to camp! From the moment we arrived, Kel and Rod made us feel right at home with their genuine warmth and hospitality. They've created a truly magical place to stay, and every detail reflects the care they've put into it. The kids loved meeting and feeding the chickens and helping collect the fresh eggs. 🍃 Our Camp Trailer's Maiden Voyage 🚐✨ Every great adventure has to begin somewhere... and for us, that place was Our Kindred Acres at Bombah Point, NSW. Just 10 minutes from Bulahdelah for those inevitable snack runs, coffee top ups and forgotten essentials, this beautiful camping retreat turned out to be the perfect place to give our new camp trailer its very first shakedown. Whether you're completely self-sufficient, travelling with a caravan or camper, or prefer the comfort of a cabin, there's something here for every kind of adventurer. Ideal for back to nature fun for little ones too. The property features a huge communal fire pit, a welcoming camp kitchen and gathering shed, peaceful walking trails, and plenty of room to simply slow down and breathe. One of my favourite parts? The dogs were free to explore off lead. Our dachshunds had an absolute ball sniffing every tree, discovering new scents and reminding us that happiness really can be found in the simplest moments. 🐾💜

Our stay at Our Kindred Acres was a lovely, relaxing few days. We travelled with 2 other couples and everyone agreed that this Hipcamp is very well set up with amazing facilities. Kellie and Rod (not forgetting their pooch Ruby!) were so welcoming and made sure we were all set up and knew how the camp worked from the start. We will be planning our return trip soon!

What a fantastic place to relax, unwind, and recharge. My husband, our dog, and I had an amazing stay at OKA. Kellie and Rod were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. The welcoming committee, Rudy the Red Heeler, made sure to greet every guest, while the friendly resident magpie was never far behind. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and will definitely be back for a longer stay. The campsite is absolutely beautiful, and it's a credit to Kellie and Rod for having the vision to create Our Kindred Acres for everyone to enjoy. From the very first interaction with Kellie and Rod the communication and directions were great and OKA was amazing , we were directed to a great spot handy too the amazing camp kitchen more like a “glamp “kitchen there isn’t anything they haven’t thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible …. So close to town but you feel miles away lost in the sounds of wildlife and birds .. Ruby was a gorgeous host too . We were self contained but there is a great shower and toilet available we will definitely recommend too anyone and we will be back …

When you turn into the driveway of OKA you immediately get the sense that this is a special place. Beautifully maintained, with one of the best camp kitchens we have ever seen. The outdoor shower is something else, with the only downside that you can't spend extended time under the hot water watching the gum trees. Rod and Kellie are exceptional hosts, friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. A perfect place to relax, go for a walk or head into town. The birdlife was wonderful as Rod reminds us to remember to look up. We will definitely be back - hopefully for a little longer next time.

Wow. What a weekend at OKA. My husband and I, along with our dog Winnie wanted to escape the city for the weekend and I’m glad we spent it at OKA. The property was beautiful and very well kept, amazing facilities including a communal camp kitchen. Our stay was very peaceful and enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone thinking of camping in the Buladelah/Bombab Point area. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time at OKA. We stayed at No. 1 Dolly Parton which was lovely down near the dam with a great view of the water lilies opening each morning. As the hosts were away we were left in the capable hands of their caretakers. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience: we were greeted on arrival, given an orientation, and gifted use of the deck and facilities at Allen’s Place for the three days which made the experience so comfortable. We got a generous load of firewood which was set up for us. All the facilities were very clean and the camp kitchen space has everything you could need including a coffee machine! OKA is easy to find and access even if you have a smaller car. There are plenty of tracks to explore, grounds to walk, and it’s close to beaches if you want a short day trip. We will definitely be back. Thanks for the great communication and generosity.

We had an absolutely amazing long weekend at Our Kindred Acres. What a slice of paradise! The location and surroundings were peaceful and relaxing. The best camp kitchen we have ever seen. Everything was clean and the property was extremely well maintained. Super close to Bulahdelah but far enough away to really experience nature it's best. We have already told a bunch of friends and can't wait to plan our next visit. Thanks to the caretakers Andie and Aaron who looked after us while Kellie was away x

We loved Kellie’s place, lots of space, flat grass, beautiful trees, and an incredible converted barn with a full kitchen, bbq, kids toys, couches, and everything you could need. The campsite and bookable accommodation is kind of focused around this central meeting place and it really encourages campers and guests to connect and have a shared experience if they would like, or keep to themselves if preferred, the place is big enough for that too. This was very unique for us compared with other hipcamps we’ve been to, and our 6 year old absolutely loved it (especially feeding the chooks with the caretakers kids living on site). Kellie and Rod are just the loveliest people and there was a generosity and care imbued in every part of OKA, and Kellie’s creativity expressed throughout as well through so many novel features. They’ve really created a beautiful space for people to relax and have fun.

What an incredible few days we had camping at OKA, and we can't wait to return! Kellie and Rod were fantastic hosts, always quick to reply to any questions and personally greeted us on arrival to show us to our site and around the facilities, which are extensive and impressive. We travelled with our 3 young children and 2 fur babies, and what a perfect way to ease into camping life for our kids' first weekend away in the wilderness. The property itself is private, peaceful and full of charm with much to explore. The onsite facilities such as toilets, showers, shaded gardens and sitting areas, as well as the incredible bonfire and communal camp kitchen were second to none. The eye for detail is exceptional, with every possible need considered and covered, from books and boardgames available, cosy couch nooks, rustic dining areas, a BBQ and a fully stocked kitchen. Rod even kindly lent us a campfire cookstand and gloves so we could prepare meals over our campfire. Kellie and Rod have created something truly special here - not just a campsite but a beautiful little community, and it is an absolute labour of love which exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is so picturesque, the birdlife is next level and the kids absolutely loved playing with Ruby the cattle dog and throwing sticks for her, as much as Ruby enjoyed fetching them! Thank you so much for being such amazing hosts and sharing your little patch of paradise with us. We hope to see you again soon!

We had the most beautiful stay at Our Kindred Acres with our toddler and baby. Absolutely beautiful property, very well maintained, with gorgeous little dams and a great big communal kitchen and shelter with everything you need, including toys and games for the kids. Kellie and Rod were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Such a peaceful, family friendly escape. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

We really loved this site, it’s a beautiful and relaxing spot. The hosts have done a great job making the site a welcoming and enjoyable place to be. Great facilities with the big communal shed, amenities were clean and well presented. We loved having a bush shower. Ruby the host dog was great company, very playful and a good natured girl. We will hopefully be able to stay again sometime.
