Our powered site gives you a bathroom with hot water shower, septic toilet and sink. Part of a shed with a tv, radio, fridge and tables, a bbq, fire pit and plenty of space to spread out. Firewood is available on site only for $25.00 per night and includes 30 kg of seasoned split firewood and 10 kg of kindling/fire starters per night. Firewood must be ordered through Hipcamp with no refunds available. TO BE CONSCIOUS OF BIOSECURITY COMPLIANCE, NO FIREWOOD IS TO BE BROUGHT INTO OR TAKEN FROM OUR PROPERTY. Evans Head Camping is a peaceful, tranquil, private property within 4km of the beautiful beaches, river and township of Evans Head, on the Far North Coast of NSW. Surfing, fishing, bushwalking, swimming are popular activities in Evans Head. There are ample shops, IGA, SPA, Post Office, Newsagents, Butcher, Muzza's Milk Bar, just to name a few. Dining options - Evans Head RSL, Evans Head Bowlo, Illawong Hotel, plus thai, Japxican, fish and chip take away. 4WD Beach Access is located at Airforce Beach, about 4km's away. Woodburn-Evans Head Golf Club is a 5min drive. Activities include kayaking, bird watching, bushwalking, photography and just relaxing while listening to the birdlife. Koalas and kangaroos are regular visitors. The property is only available for camping weekends (varied nights) public holidays, and Easter and Christmas holidays. Evans Head Camping also provides a safe and secure location for your holiday set up while you're explore the beautiful Northern Rivers and beyond. The deep fresh water lake that you have all to yourself is absolute heaven. Camping facilities are top quality, making it more like glamping.

The camp ground is perfect. Just enough amenities to make camping comfortable, shed, fridge, fan, radio, tv, some tables and chairs, undercover area, toilets and shower. Yet rustic enough to still feel like you are camping. Set out so well with area for tents, a camp fire set up and such a beautiful property filled with a chorus of birds, kangaroos and koalas. Cameron was super helpful and went to a great deal of effort to accommodate the needs of our group and the program we were running with our young people and we really appreciated it. I’m pretty sure that most of the staff were thinking about returning with their families it’s such a wonderful spot.

2nd time here and just booked for a 3rd. Great location and central enough to everything within a short drive. Great facilities (clean etc) and great host. Cameron has loads of local knowledge and let's you get on with things.

Came down from the gold coast for one night with my parents and it was perfect. Host is very polite and easy to get on with, and he keeps an extremely tidy space for you to use. I still got to feel like I was really camping even with all the facilities available, and my dad still got to watch the footy on the TV so whole family was happy.

Great camp area. Shed with fridge, microwave, kettle, TV, chairs. Separate shower and toilet facility - very clean. We had the entire site to ourselves so it was peaceful, quiet and secure.

Good solitary spot. You can walk around the trails. Heaps of space. Toilet, water, shower. Microwave, fridge, Fire cooking only, so bring butane/electric hot plates if don't use the fire. It was nice and very peaceful.

Cameron is an absolute gent with solid local knowledge. The site was perfectly clean and ready to go. The water in shower - HOT; and just what I needed in a winter's morning. Pitch pretty much anywhere you wish. It's lovely and flat, so no messing about leveling etc. Generous amounts of wood purchased from site owner. Burnt like a dream. Bringing the rest of family down next time (as there will 100% be a next time here). Site and everything else easily met, if not exceeded expectations.

Was a lovely bloke and very helpful with all things regarding the property and surrounding areas. Would recommend to ppl as it’s a big space and very private. Can have music as loud as you want with no neighbours and fire place is very nice. Price could be a touch lower but overall we were stoked with our weekend away.

We thought it was quite expensive, especially for our friends & their 23children. It was pretty grubby onsite & very old & tired. It wasn't clear that the site was on part of a quarry site. Not for us, I'm afraid.

Had a truly lovely, relaxed time. Spot was perfect for total chill time. Facilities were spotless & just what we needed. We enjoy cooking over a fire & had 3 choices of fire pit! Also great that there was no one else there, we had the place to ourselves! If it has rained there was shelter too! Downside, we needed to be there at a specific time as key was required to be picked up & same for departure, we needed to wait to return the gate key. Not ideal. Great location for chilled Australia Day weekend!

Beautiful private location surrounded beautiful native coastal scrubland. Abundant wildlife is the only disturbance you'll have. It's only minutes away from town beaches and beautiful river. During our stay the weather was all over the place 25 knot southerlies with scattered showers and storms. The dwelling on the property faces north giving you shelter from both wind rain and sun. So awesome to be able to be so close to the elements but 150% comfortable Amenities are clean and functional. Wood available onsite numerous fire pits/pot belly steel plates and kettles.

We loved tent camping at Cameron's place in Evans Head. He was very clear with the instructions and everything was tidy. It's a great spot because you have privacy and you're only 6 min from the main town and beach. Looking forward to coming again in the future!

Was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities at the site! Very private, lots of space, amazing facilities and made a great spot to camp. Our host Cameron was lovely and accomodating, but you will need to meet with them to get the key to the gate for entry, so plan accordingly! Would happily camp a few nights here again.

We absolutely loved our stay, Cameron was a great host who made everything seamless. He provided us with plenty of information about the property and the local area. The location is ideal, only a short drive to town but also out of the way making the property very private and the perfect place for our group. The setup and amenities were very clean and well kept. It was great to have access to a hot shower, toilet, fridge, big shed, fire pits and more. We look forward to visiting again in future!

Cameron was a great host, he had heaps of information for activities to do and sights to see at Evans Head. The camp ground was definitely well looked after with a big shed if needed to get out of the rain. The amenities were very clean. We would stay again.

Our favourite hipcamp yet! We seek out single site camping opportunities and Cameron did not disappoint. The site was freshly mowed, clean and very well maintained. It rained on and off during our stay so the under covered area and pot belly to stay warm by were sensational! We took our caravan along and loved having access to the flushing loo, shower and tank water. We greatly appreciated all the little extras (large fridge, indoor tables with power hookup) your camp site offered. Thanks for putting in so much effort to ensure we had a memorable stay. Such a great spot, watching the black cockatoos fly over every morning and night was magical. So private and quiet, the facilities are great. Having access to the shed with power and fridge meant we could pack fairly light. The toilet and shower were also a great bonus. And being only 5 mins drive into Evan’s head means we will definitely be back again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Evans Head and Cameron our host was really lovely. The directions were clear and it was very straightforward and relaxed. We enjoyed the campsite to ourself which was very peaceful and quiet. Facilities were decent for a camper and as we had our van it was great having the added space and bathroom / shed area with refrigerator and table. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoyed a campfire each night courtesy of Cameron’s firewood! We had our toddler (2.5) with us who loves to explore, note you’re surrounded by water so best bring lots of activities to keep them close! Will be back!

We stayed at the very private, well maintained powered camp site. Peaceful camp ground with great amenities and facilities. Spectacular views of the moon and sunrises, lots of kangaroos and birds - lucky enough to see two black swans during our stay. Cameron is a lovely and considerate host, very welcoming and professional, we enjoyed our time on his property.
