250 acres in a valley called Crabbes Creek. Our main farming is beef cattle. We offer camping along the main creek that has water. Shared toilet & shower available at the campsite area. Good access for all types of vehicles and caravans. We have cattle and our own dogs so no pets, please. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood for sale (see Extras). The local general store is 3km away and sells everything! Open 7 days a week. Petrol, ice, groceries, beer & wine, etc. LOCALS TIP! The Crabbs Creek Community Hall is run by the local community and on Thursday & Friday night you can buy a variety of takeaway meals - check out Crabbs Creek Community Hall FB page. The closest beach is Wooyng Beach and it's a 10 minute drive. Pottsville and Brunswick Heads is also close.

I was in site 3 and I loved it. Nick was incredibly helpful and drove down more firewood for me. The creek was low but running, it was beautiful and cool. So much space between sites. So shady. Such a pretty spot f you want to come and unwind off the internet. I’ll be back

The site was beautiful and had perfect amenities, instructions to get to it were clear and we had no problems arriving late. Nick was really accommodating with changes due to the weather. Thank you!

Very beautiful spot would highly recommend. Just be aware if you’ve booked site 3 someone might be at site 4 which is very close

Site 3 - Up The Creek
Nick's land is beautiful, lush green trees to shade you. The is creek right beside all 3 sites and the sound of the water is magical. The toilets are clean and easily accessible. The shower, once the gas was turned on, was great. Up the Creek is an easy 3km from the start of the rail trail at the Crabbes Creek end. We had a lovely few days enjoying the region. We were caught in a very heavy rain storm and Nick was a great host and checked in on us, offering dry fire wood. Not inclined to cook in the rain, we drove a short way up the road to Mooball for a cold beer and steak! Definitely recommend.

Thanks Nick, This was our 3rd stay and as usual the toilet was very clean and the grounds well kept ,, we happened to have an extremely wet 36 hours, the creek was really flowing and our site was well drained . We will be back to again ride the rail trail. Regards Dave and Rosemary

Site 1 - Up The Creek
We camped Up The Creek with 3 young families and it was perfect! The campsite was peaceful, green and flat with lots of space for the kids to play. The fireplace was secure. There were lots of bugs (? Midgies) in the evening but they disappeared by bedtime. Very happy with Up the Creek and we will definitely return for future rail trail adventures.

Nicks property is peaceful, safe, and well looked after. I had #2 again, its the most ideal spot for me. Shade/sun. The shower is quirky but efficient, and the toilets are clean and functional. I love the babbling creek, the cows, the stars.... this property is perfect to ride the NRRT, which u can access at Crabbes Creek! Thanks Nick. I enjoyed my time at 'Up the Creek'!

The peace and tranquillity at up the creek was so beautiful. We were the only ones there! The shower is great and toilets provided . Only tip to give is send your family a text to let them know that the reception is poor.

Nick's property was brilliant - site 1 is the best out of the 3 available. The creekside spot was relaxing with surrounding trees precoding beautiful cool shade from about 2pm. While we were the only people on the property for the majority of our stay, the massive size each of the 3 sites has would mean that there wouldn't be an issue with space, even if you had a large group. We had access to the cleanest porta-loo I've ever experienced. The hot shower was a convenient bonus and greatly appreciated - the shower is closest to sites 1 and 2. The only minor inconvenience was the large number of horse flys we had to contend with throughout the day. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will definately be back again.

Great amount of space and shade. Creek didn't have enough water to swim but still great to cool down in. Quality firewood provided and the shower was surprisingly nice. Thanks Nick!

One of the best campsites I ever been! Toilets and shower facilities so well-taken cared of. Nice and spacious, all sites far enough of each other so it was quiet and each site got their own toilets. So much life and actions going on in the creek just beside the campsites so be sure to check it out at night we had great fun there. Lovely host with the cutest dog we will be back for sure!

Up the creek was a bit out of the way if you’re travelling up like we were. But once we were there it was fantastic. Lovely views, good amenities (unusual but good) and lots of space. Just to note you do have to drive through a field of cows to get to the camp, but Nick was lovely and informative. We would recommend :)

100% recommend this hipcamp. We had 3 days here and could quite easy had done more. A well kept camp-site and spread out. Close to the Tweed Valley and Northern Rivers Rail Trail. In the summer it would be lovely to just sit in the crystal clear creek with a beverage. Nick was happy to stop work and have a chat too.
