I had such a great stay here — super peaceful and relaxing. The views are incredible. It felt really private having the whole place to myself, which made it the perfect spot to switch off and recharge.
Garry is a super friendly host as well, which made the stay even better. If you’re looking for a secluded bush retreat, this place is perfect. I’ll definitely be back 👍

Loved being so high up! We had the entire place to ourselves, which made for a very private and peaceful stay. The elevation really paid off at night, the stargazing was absolutely incredible with zero light pollution.
The sunset view was truly magical; for a moment, we honestly thought we were in the Shire. It added such a whimsical, "Middle-earth" feel to the landscape that we didn't want to leave.
It’s a perfect stopping point if you are traveling from the Byron or Tweed Heads.

Beautiful secluded spot, very private with great views. Lots of places to sit and have a drink while relaxing amongst the surrounds bushland. Added bonus of only 1 group at a time at this site. Definitely recommend for a weekend getaway to chill out and reset

We had the most incredible weekend away – honestly exactly what we needed.
From the moment we arrived, everything just felt peaceful and easy. The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and that perfect mix of privacy and nature. Sitting by the fire in the evening, under the stars, was a real highlight – so quiet, relaxing, and just a great escape from the busy day-to-day.
The site itself was well set up and easy to access, with plenty of space to settle in and enjoy the surroundings. You can really tell a lot of care has gone into making it a special place for guests.
Garry was a fantastic host – friendly, helpful, and made everything smooth from start to finish without being intrusive at all.
We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone

An amazing property perfect for couples looking for solitude and an unbeatable view. Easily accessible with any vehicle, but the scenery is that of something normally only accesible by 4wf. Highly recommend will return.

We loved Garry's Hipcamp! The site is spacious, very flat with lovely grass, and the view is absolutely spectacular. There is so much room with multiple options for sitting with a drink, including the pergola Garry built at the back of the site and under the gorgeous turpentine tree. There is lots of natural shade. Hard to believe you have it all to yourselves! No other property in sight. You can cycle right onto the Rail Trail (only 1km down a quiet country road) and lots of food options are close by. Garry was very friendly and helpful, with lots of great info about the property - a wonderful host! The site is very well maintained with beautiful gardens, which we were able to wander through. Thanks Garry for sharing your special property. We'll be back!

The stay was just what we needed, tranquil and peaceful. There was lots of space, all well maintained. We had breakfast up on the bench above the camp-spot and played cards on a picnic mat under the massive tree. There is good bird watching opportunity available too. Great view, friendly owner and overall lovely spot.

We loved our stay at Garry’s place. It is a beautifully peaceful spot with awesome views, and we appreciated the special touches like the pergola and camping loo. Also the Turpentine tree - what a presence!! Thanks so much Garry, we hope to return one day.

Very lovely spot perched on a hill with incredible sunset and starlight views. The picnic bench was perfect for dining and taking in the scenery. There were quite a few horse flies during our stay, Garry mentioned they’d just started coming out, but that’s part of being out in nature :)

Beautiful private campground half way along the rail trail. A friend and I stayed here for one night while walking the rail trail and we wish we'd stayed another. Garry was lovely and so accommodating. We booked last minute and he made it so easy. Loved the serenity, the magnicent view, the fire pit, and the sunset Garry organised just for us 👌😅

A beautiful spot at all times of the day, all to yourself. Plenty of room to spread out, set up, and explore. Nestled amongst the hills, trees, and flowers, you quickly unwind and get settled in this little spot of paradise. As night sweeps over Stokers Siding, a whole new world reveals itself. You can lose hours to stargazing at the Milky Way which fills the clearing in the trees.
The elevated entry to site was relatively easy for a Yaris Cross (2WD) and gives you a great vantage spot over the surrounding landscape. Garry is an organised and friendly host who ensures you have everything you need. Thanks Garry!

Garry is a great knowledgeable host who hosted us on his beautiful property. The spot is private and also great for star gazing with a lovely view of the mountains. We made good use of the fire pit and picnic table too, this is a great spot for a little weekend getaway... Thank you Gary for having us!

Garry was a great host. Property was very clean and tidy with plenty of things to do around the area (trails, nearby farms, close to Murwillumbah if you need any supplies. We also appreciated that paper, kindle and fire wood were supplied.

Our stay at Garry’s property in Stokers Siding was absolutely unreal! The views were stunning, and Garry’s hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. The peaceful walking tracks around the property were a definite highlight, and the toilet and picnic table setup made everything super comfortable. Can’t recommend it enough!
