We are 1.2 km from the township of Wisemans Ferry along River Road. There are powered and unpowered sites for caravans and campers set in a rustic location.

On-site amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, fully equipped camp kitchen with a large undercover area (perfect for large groups or private functions), and a laundry.
Feel free to book any site that’s available, they all overlook the creek. To avoid overcrowding not all sites are listed on Hipcamp. You can choose your own spot during quiet periods, during peak periods space is allocated according to group size, preferences and camp set up. A powered site can accommodate up to 4 vans. Please include van details with your booking.
Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase (cash preferred).
Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available.
Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.
Lions Road repairs have been completed, however is classed as not suitable for large vans. Please contact us for further information.
Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Please make arrangements if you are unable to arrive between these times.

Some of our camp sites have access to three flush toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months.
We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area.
FRIENDLY PETS welcome. On certain camp sites our small kitchen with microwave dishwasher and cook top and fridge may be used . Please just clean up any mess you make. For the next guest All cleaning products under sink. WE HAVE 2 DOGS that are people friendly., who love to meet new fury friends , they do have the run of our property .
As our property has a lot of maintenance lawns /gardens ; we may use mowers blowers etc , we will possibly maintain between 10 am to 2 pm If needed.

Dining options - Evans Head RSL, Evans Head Bowlo, Illawong Hotel, plus thai, Japxican, fish and chip take away.
4WD Beach Access is located at Airforce Beach, about 4km's away.
Woodburn-Evans Head Golf Club is a 5min drive.

The staff at the camp were lovely and very helpful. Just a small thing, for those in caravans, don’t forget the levels as the land has a slight slope. Otherwise amenities were very clean. Shower need 20cents to operate hot water. Good stay very peaceful.

Beautiful sanctuary for animals in need. We came to our site late at dark and alpacas welcomed us to the farm, in the morning we realized a group of cute goats were our neighbours, we did the morning mini farm tour which was very nice meeting the test of the animals.

This is our 4th camping trip at NSW Ski Gardens and as always we had a really great experience with our family.
Nicole and Matt are brilliant hosts, very friendly, welcoming and helpful - thank you so much for having us!
We love coming here and will continue to in the future. I highly recommend to anyone else wanting to camp- it's a gorgeous spot. It's not too far from the city but far enough that you really feel you're miles away from home, surrounded by nature where you can really unwind, relax and just breath.
The park itself is located right on the beautiful river, it is very well maintained and the facilities are immaculate. They also have a little shop on site, as well as hire of fire pitts, wood and ice. You really couldn't ask for anything more!

Great location! Hosts very responsive and friendly, Site 3 was awesome, powered and on the river, short walk to the bathrooms/ warm showers which were very clean! Kiosk was very convenient if you need wood, fire lighters, ice, milk etc.. Will definitely be going back

So cool was to see animals move freely, there was horses, goats, geese, lambs, pigs, chickens, cats and dogs.. Clint and the volunteers were friendly and helpful.. there is a clean shower and toilet, for additional fee you can wash your laundry. Nice quiet getaway near the highway. 10/10 would reccomend.

Borenore Billabong was a beautiful rustic camping spot for our camper-trailer just 14km west of Orange. The billabong is a melting pot of wildlife. Heaps of space on this working property with the added bonus of toilets and showers. Nothing better than sitting by an open fire in the cool of the evening watching the sun set and listening to the birds and frogs. Just splendid.

Weekend Trip to Rainforest Gateway
Cabin 3 was the perfect place to call home for a couple of nights and take advantage of the calm surroundings. Containing everything you need in the kitchenette and a stones throw from everything you could want in the shared kitchen. A lovely spot to stay and soak up the atmosphere and wish upon a shooting star!

Where to go
The Blue Mountains
Lace up your boots for one of Australia's best bushwalking destinations. The ridge of mountains two hours west of Sydney by road or train is a World Heritage-listed wonderland of sandstone canyons, waterfalls, valleys, and clifftop lookouts. The national park offers remote bush campsites, or you can go for a bit more comfort in one of the region’s many caravan and holiday parks.
NSW North Coast
The coastline of northern NSW, from north of Newcastle to the Queensland border, is classic beach holiday territory. Almost every town has at least one caravan park, often with waterfront campsites, and most of the coastline is protected by national parks with fantastic camping spots and facilities. Flanked by the Great Dividing Range and World Heritage rainforests, the North Coast has Hipcampers spoilt for choice.
NSW South Coast
Every bit as wild as the North Coast, the South Coast stretches south of Sydney to the Victorian border with a string of national parks, state forests, campgrounds, and seaside towns with family-friendly holiday parks. Kangaroos and wallabies graze the camping grounds and laze on the beaches, which have some of the whitest sand in the world. Kayak the waterways, bushwalk the forests, and soak in the views from the mountaintops.
Snowy Mountains
Alpine New South Wales, also known as the Snowy Mountains, stretches from the ACT south to the Victorian border along the spine of the Great Dividing Range. Along with hundreds of camping spots, the big attraction of Kosciuszko National Park—the largest national park in NSW—is Australia’s highest peak, Mount Kosciuszko. In winter, the area is a magnet for skiers, and in summer, fishing, bushwalking, and mountain biking reign supreme.
NSW Outback
The far western corner of NSW is a great introduction to the Outback, where endless red dust plains seem to stretch on forever under cloudless blue skies. Take a road trip out here and you'll see plenty of kangaroos and emus, but not many people. National parks such as Mungo, Mutawintji, and Kinchega offer superb camping spots, Aboriginal art sites, and stunning scenery.
