'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer powered and unpowered camping and a glamping tent. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma).Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! You can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed. Please take all rubbish with you. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in any open paddock (granite pad sites on hill are their own sites). Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

We loved the scenery at the campsite. Campsite was totally peaceful. Top class amenities for a campsite. Also how can we forgot 2 beautiful border collie 's . Absolutely friendly and playful.

Overall it was beautiful and loved the sunset/country view but there was no power in the shed where the cooking facilities. Half of the items were covered in cobwebs and were dirty or had droppings on them. Only thing that worked was the kettle. No one there for check in which is fine, but instructions weren’t very clear. We paid for a powered site but there wasn’t access to power at all.

Glamp and Camp at La Paloma Farm
The tent is quite old. The area around the tent wasn’t maintained well. Photos don’t match the actual thing. We ended up sleeping in the car because of the amount of insects that came crawling in even though the tent was zipped up. It rained at night and there was water inside in the morning where we checked. Probably a hole somewhere. However, the bathroom was clean and the farm animals were nice to see. Unfortunate that the maintenance and upkeep hasn’t been done properly.

Glamp and Camp at La Paloma Farm
The location was great, and the nature views were outstanding. However, the farm’s maintenance was quite poor. There was a lot of mould in the tent and cobwebs around. The farm kitchen was spacious and convenient to use, but the fridge wasn’t working properly — our food got frozen because the temperature wasn’t stable. The microwave didn’t work, the kitchen sink tap was broken, and the kitchen wasn’t cleaned properly before our arrival. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and looked newly renovated, and the dogs at the farm were very friendly. Overall, it’s a beautiful location with great potential, but it needs better maintenance. I have mixed feelings about the stay.

Steph’s campsite is peaceful and surrounded by lovely nature. The setup was easy and everything was ready to go. A couple of things to note: there’s only one bathroom, the grassy area is a bit sloped, and the camp kitchen doesn’t have running water. Overall, a great place to unwind!

Steph’s land is lovely and quiet — a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Everything was easy to find and well prepared, even though we didn’t meet the host in person. Just a few small things to note: there’s only one bathroom, the grassy area is a bit sloped, and the camp kitchen doesn’t have running water for washing up. Other than that, it’s a beautiful and peaceful stay!

Steph is genuinely a great host. She made us feel comfortable from the get go. The whole camp site is wonderful. Amenities were beyond expectations. Glamping tent was comfortable for our family of 4 plus our pet. Kitchen hall was basic and met the needs. The fire pit was great but we could not use it. Wish we planned

The amenities block was great, the kitchen area could do with the same renovation, as it was if the animals from the shearing shed had only just left the building. We had a fun evening by the fire out in one of the paddocks, unfortunately, between the camp and amenities was a carcass of a decayed and smelly kangaroo , which should have been removed. We did leave a message for the host but unfortunately they didn`t return our call. If the property was like the marketing it would have been amazing.

Wonderful place to start our road trip from Sydney . We had the powered site just near the amenities block which was very convenient . Had a lovely walk up the hill behind for sweeping views of the surrounding countryside . Amenities block wonderful with hot shower and flushing loo. Steph is a wonderful host and do yourself a favour and buy some of her chickens eggs . Best ever ! A lovely stay on a working farm . Thank you .

La Paloma was a peaceful, beautiful place to get away for a long weekend and enjoy camping with my partner. There are huge paddocks to set up tents in and big distances between groups of campers so you're never intruding on each other's space. There are even some glamping set-ups as well if you wanted to go down that route! The amenities (2 toilets and shower) were super clean, and well looked after, and the camp kitchen was adequate for cleaning our tableware & cookware after each meal. You're also not too far away from Cowra (14 minute drive), so you're not completely isolated if you forgot some necessities from home! We'll definitely be back in the future.

We had a great camping experience at La Paloma. We had plenty of space which suited us as we had a bunch of excited and active children and a couple of dogs with us. The amenities were excellent. Clean and nice to use. We could also access drinking water which was a great help. We loved the beautiful granite boulders on the hillslopes and went for a walk exploring these.

An absolutely beautiful spot to setup camp - sitting under the stars and just taking in the quiet surrounds. Waking up to the kookaburras and sunrise was amazing. Such a beautiful setup with fantastic amenities and very welcoming to have Steph there waiting as we drove in with our farm fresh eggs 🍳 Will definitely return and recommend to others!!
