Set among 40 hectares of rolling countryside, with 16 hectares of established grapevines, our property offers a relaxed, welcoming escape in the heart of wine country. Whether you’re after a powered site close to the winery amenities or a more secluded, private spot tucked away among the vines, there’s space here to settle in and unwind. Join us for a tasting and discover the wines we craft on-site, then linger a little longer - grab a glass, head to the balcony, and take in the sunset as it drops over the vineyard. As night falls, the sky opens up to brilliant stars, with fresh country air and quiet all around. We offer four EV chargers for convenience, along with firewood for sale ($25 per bag, generous portions) and fire pits available to hire, or you’re welcome to bring your own. For those looking to explore, we’re just 2 km from Glenwood Forest Trails, home to some of the region’s best mountain biking, including dedicated downhill tracks and year-round events. Nearby, Mount Canobolas and Lake Canobolas offer beautiful walks, swimming, paddling, and fishing. You’ll also find outstanding local produce, restaurants, and, of course, more wineries throughout the region. If it looks like we’re booked out, feel free to call us directly - there are often additional sites available that aren’t listed here. We have a range of sites to suit many needs. You can be on a shady, leveled site with power just 30s walk from the winery with its amenities, or you can be out of site among vines or in a cherry orchard. We have one area that can accommodate a dozen vans if you're all friends, and it does have power. This is particularly useful to groups coming for Orange Mountain Bike Club events and the Lonely Mountain Ultra. If you bring an off ground fire pit you're welcome to grab some wood and enjoy it, and if not, we'll rent you one. We're pet friendly, and even if you don't have your own dog, Mina and Whiskey will come and visit you. Farm biosecurity protocols apply, and we'll have a conversation with each camping group to see that we can all have our needs met. We are a leave no trace camping site, so you take your waste with you.

We have stunning views, dedicated sites that can be powered, close to the amenities in the winery or very isolated. We also make some fantastic wine. Close by is the Orange Mountain Bike Club with dedicated downhill trails and events year-round. We are just next to the Lonely Mountain Ultra which runs in October. Mount and Lake Canobolas offer wonderful walk, swims, paddles and fishing. The region has incredible produce, restaurants and wineries.

Cargo Road Wines was a fantastic place to stay. James was very welcoming and took the time and effort to show us around his farm to select the perfect spot for our two night stay. Wifi was available in the cellardoor / bathrooms which was within 400-500m of all the campsites. I’m sure we will be back even if it’s just to visit the cellar door!

It was a very lovely experience, staying here camping under the tent with our dog. The view from wedding is great and is also close to amenities, and you get a Lil secluded area from rest of the campers. Star gazing was nice, I saw one shooting star as well. Unfortunately, we couldn't do the wine tasting cuz we were there on a very hot day and spent the day in Orange shopping center which was like 20 min drive. (Note: we were p laters so couldn't drink and drive). Will definitely come here again some day for wine tasting.

We were welcomed by Catherine who show us where everything was including the eco friendly bathrooms, plus the beautiful area where we parked our camper-van. We were delighted at the fantastic wine experience and we ordered a Delicious charcuterie board. Although Catherine had only been there just a just a short time herself. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, which made our experience. All the more pleasing. we were particularly impressed by the stunning paintings on the wall and of course, the breathtaking landscape around us of the Vineyard .

What an amazing spot !!! Little Italy was amazing Only a 5min walk to toilet and shower. James was an amazing host! Great wine tasting with a world of knowledge. We planning our next trip back here in February 2026

We loved camping at Cargo Road Winery! James showcased what his winery was all about and we tried some delicious wines! Facilities were amazing and the camping spots are nestled amongst the vineyards! We took our dog who loved his first camping experience! It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We will be back!

Beautiful location. Close to town but far enough out that you feel a little remote. Lots of beautiful spots to camp with views of the mountains and vineyards and the cellar door had some great wines. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

The camp was beautiful and conveniently located to a hot shower and toilet. However it was also very exposed and the wind was howling for the 3 days we were there. It'd be great if the hosts planted some shrubs (like bottlebrush) for a bit of shelter and wind protection, without the danger of dropping branches like the large trees do.

Fantastic spot to camp & enjoy wine! We camped 2 nights at the wedding site, Katie was super helpful. The site was easily big enough for the 4 of us, facilities were great too and not too far away. It was super cold as expected however the fire pit really helped warm us up.

Winter camping in Orange isn’t for the faint-hearted, but merino thermals, Nordic-level socks, and a bunch of Pendleton wool blankets with an extra warm feather quilt, and we were toasty in our rooftop tent! The views from Wedding are beautiful and the clear night sky was spectacular! Campfire kept us cozy on the coldest nights as we sat and chatted while ice crystals formed on everything around us. The showers here were plenty warm, even keeping them short We really enjoyed the space, and we’ll definitely be back when we’re coming through Orange again.

Sunsets across the vines

This was the most peaceful campsite our our 2 week trip around central NSW. We had the Shed site and were able to use power for our camper trailer. Evening brought beautiful sunsets across the vines, and the winery is less than 15 minutes from Orange. Mina and Gerty the dogs were an added bonus!

Unique experience and the perfect way to feel closer to the winemaking process being settled in amongst the vineyards. Highly recommend doing the wine tour with James who takes great pride in his vineyard and winemaking. Had everything we needed and perfectly located

I highly recommend James for his hospitality and Cargo Road Wines for a camping experience that is memorable. Spanning over 16 hectares there are so many camping sites to choose from and it's a pleasant view waking up to the sunrise and Vineyards as well to the sound of sheeps. We also opted for the wine tour where James gave us some background story of himself and The Vineyard itself and it definitely has made me appreciate wine more than before. Will definitely camp here once again in the near future. Our Little Jack Russell Puppy also enjoyed running around the Vineyards along with the sheeps and Kelpie

We stayed at Cabernet 1 site at Cargo Road Lane. We absolutely loved our stay and would love to camp there again. Our site had beautiful views and was surrounded by grape vines, with enough space to be away from other campers and for the kids to play. James was very friendly and helpful and the wine from Cargo Road was great too! Looking forward to staying here again and would recommend to anyone wanting a farm stay experience.
