Weekend Trip to Coffs Harbour Camping & Farmstay

5 stars – A peaceful farm stay with the kindest host! Staying at Sharon’s farm was such a wonderful experience! Sharon herself was absolutely lovely—so friendly, welcoming, and full of great information about all the animals on the property. You can tell how much she cares for them, and it made the whole stay feel really special. The facilities were great—the toilets were very clean, which is always a plus when camping. One of the highlights was having breakfast by the pond on the wharf; it’s such a peaceful, beautiful spot to start the day. There’s so much space on the property, so even with others around, it never felt crowded. And the animals… just beautiful. It was such a treat to be around them in such a relaxed, natural setting. Highly recommend this stay if you're looking to unplug and enjoy some genuine farm hospitality!

3 nights at Oakey Ridge

So much space & much to admire. I had rescued a 3rd dog & was on my way outta Casino; this was the perfect place for the scared pup to get his 1st taste of freedom xx I chose the 1 fenced site so we could all relax, there was a tree to put our swag under & a portaloo 50m away or a short walk to full amenities + wifi. I was happy leaving the pups secured/in their crates napping while I went to use the shower/kitchen/wifi thanks to the fenced site. Had the place to ourselves, so we got to explore widely! Friendly host, already invited some friends & their dogs to visit ✨

1 night at NSW Ski Gardens

Host was perfect very easy to deal with and willing to help with anything. Very scenic drive in and beautiful views. Site was quite and well maintained. Fish were biting straight out from the boat ramp. Check out the route in there if you have never been before the gorge road is not suitable for large setups. The detour adds about 20 minutes but a pleasant drive.

2 nights at Binghi Station

The Secret Gorge is an amazing spot, so peaceful. If you explore down river its magic, so scenic. I only did 2 nights, I wish I stayed for longer. Only negative is that steep rough road to get to that spot my 4x4 was fine, you require some 4x4 skills to get there. If weather was wet I'm not sure if I would be able to get my car back up the hill due to traction and the incline. I definitely will return again but possibly stay up top to avoid the steep hill at The secret Gorge, just in case it rains. But I highly recommend I definitely will return.

Awesome camp site right next to the running creek, camp was well kept and the Bruce and Prue were really accommodating and answered all questions we had prior to our stay. Would highly recommend this camp site to anyone. We will be back.

Paradise. The most idyllic Hipcamp we've been to yet. Amenities were pristine. The site was completely private. Swimming in the river was chilly and exhilarating. It was flowing beautifully. The perfect place to unwind. Our host Bruce was very accommodating. The campfire at night by the flowing river was magical. Highly recommended for off-grid camping.

Absolutely beautiful setting, cannot explain how much of a lovely evening we had just looking at the view and the stars. Oscar (the owners son) was an absolute legend, and the outdoor shower behind the house was the most amazing view I have had while starting my day! Thanks so much for having us, would happily go again.

Weekend Trip to Binghi Station

We loved our stay at Binghi station. Excellent service, Adrian was so welcoming and helpful. Very knowledgeable about what was in the area. The waterfall was absolutely beautiful and kids wanted to stay there all day. The drive way was pretty uneven due to recent weather but we got in and out with our 26 foot full size van. Would recommend and go again.

Weekend Trip to Binghi Station

Binghi Station is magic. We stayed at Secret gorge, plenty of room and even has litte firepits for different areas. Hot water shower and toilet permanantly in place aswell. The property is like disneyland for camping. spend a day at each location soaking up the beauty of it all. Pretty decent 4x4 vehicles are needed for access to property which is an adventure in itself. i managed to tow my camper trailer in and out without problem. Adrian is more than friendly and accomodating. Will be coming back

Weekend Trip to "Mindoo"

Prue and Bruce are great host and there property is stunning down by the creek off leash for the dog aswell. Nice clean toilets not far away and your camp site is private. Highly recommend and we'll be back again.

4 nights at Abstobys Retreat

The 3 sites are clean & tidy. Shower & toilet well maintained. Gate is locked after hour's great no safety issues. Louise is very pleasant and is most welcoming we take our small house dog on a lead & he also enjoys his stay too. We visit often with friends and they are also eager to return. The birdlife is lovely to see & listen too.

Weekend Trip to Bundilla River Camp

Beautiful drive in to property and lovely location with good amenities. Creek was easy to access and great to swim in. Close proximity to Port Macquarie. We had a lot of rain and were flooded in for half a day, which made the site a little slippery to get out of. Rick and Cheryl were extremely helpful and accomodating though!

Such a beautiful place! Serene and peaceful until the geese and ducks and chooks come for a visit 🥰🥰. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Definitely recommend it. Very safe for families and solo travellers.

Super lovely spot just a short drive from Sydney city. Well kept grounds and very helpful staff for any questions or needs. We had one of the private sites and it felt nice and isolated while still being a 20min walk back to front office for firewood, toilets, showers. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Chapman Valley

We loved our time camping at Chapman Valley. We were allocated Green Wattle Arm 5, and it was just perfect! Our dog had the most amazing time with lots of space. It was very private. Communication was spot on, our spot was easy to find and we had preordered our firewood. We explored the property via 4wD , and saw lots of wildlife along the way. We will definitely be back. 10/10!

Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. Binghi Station is designed for the 4x4 enthusiasts. In other words we strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is very rugged and bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. Its the 4x4 adventure. We would rather talk it down than up:-) ps One thing we can say you will never get bogged on our driveway no matter the rain fall as its very compacted despite its authentic rough character. The Secret Gorge site is suited to tents, camper trailers and smaller length caravans. All our other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

There are no nearby shops so be sure to bring everything with you. The property offers over 100kms of bush tracks ideal for walking, push-bike riding or 4WDing. On site-horse riding is available, offering rides ranging from 1hr family rides to full day experienced rides. Check out our website for a full list of offerings. The Communal camping area is within walking distance of our amenities block, which offers flushing porcelain toilets and a hot shower. Bush campsites are fully self-sufficient, BYO (bring your own) water and toileting system. All campers are required to take their rubbish home with them as there are no bins on site. Sites available for all vehicle types, from buses and large caravans to fully kitted out off-road vehicles.

Abstobys Retreat

I have a small private property with grass campsites by a tidal outlet to Port Stephens harbour. We do not offer secluded camp sites away from other people on large acreage. You can spend your days fishing, kayaking or enjoying Nelson Bay and surrounding areas and beaches which are only 15 minutes away. Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. Yes there are mozzies because you are near water, so bring repellent. Pets are welcome but must stay on a leash throughout your stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Please BYO firewood. Fires are only permitted when there are no fire restrictions and in the designated fire pit and designated fire pit area for your own fire pit. Children 16 & under stay for free. Please notify host if you are bringing children. Please be careful and supervise young children near the water.

Hartley Vale Garlic Farm

The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.
