Excellent place to stay and explore the Lovedale, Pokolbin wineries & Binnorie cheese factory. Beautifully maintained grounds in the middle of a vineyard. firepit with wood picnic table. We parked on the gravel in our RV and opened the door onto a beautiful grass area. Toilets and showers were stunning! Short walk across the grass. Pet friendly...our pup had a great time.

Fantastic Hunter Valley Camping

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Domaine De Binet. The property is stunning, with fantastic sunrise views across the vineyard and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the surrounding countryside. The night skies were equally beautiful, making for some great stargazing. Natalie and her family were exceptional hosts, genuinely warm, welcoming, and generous with their time. It was clear how much care and passion they put into both the property and the vineyard. The wine tasting was a real standout experience. We were so impressed by the quality of all the wines. It was a pleasure learning about the wines and the story behind the vineyard directly from the family. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family and are already looking forward to returning for another visit and a few more glasses of wine at the vineyard.

Enjoyable long weekend

I highly recommend Domaine de Binet, we enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay in our van over the June long weekend. Very private with plenty of space between campsites. Shower, toilet and water available on-site. Beautiful sunsets and hot air balloons at sunrise. Enjoyed a wine tasting with Dan in the afternoon and his wines were amazing. Other vineyards, restaurants and cafes all a short distance away. We will be back soon!

Had a great stay at Domaine de Binet. Beautiful and peaceful location, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. We also enjoyed the wine tasting, which was a lovely experience. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily come back again. Thank you for a great experience!

Domaine de Binet Baby Vines Site 4

We loved camping at Domaine De Binet. Super spacious, lush green grass. Natalie and Dan were very accomodating, greeting us when we got there to making a lovely coffee in the morning. A very family friendly place, our daughter loved to play with the boys and their dog. Highly recommend, will 100% be back.

Absolute cracker of a campsite, would highly recommend staying here, so close to the winery and cafe, the sunrises absolutely stunning the hot air balloons. We will be back!

A gem at a beautiful vineyard

Will highly recommend Domaine de Binet for camping. The venue located inside a vineyard. At dawn, you will see air balloons rising with beautiful array of sunshine. I camp next to the pond and a gum tree. Although requires a little drive to the bathroom, it is very tranquil and peaceful if you want to escape from the bustling city life. There are options to stay closer to the bathroom near a white structure. Bathroom is heated and very clean, which was a lifesaver if you camp during winter. The family is very friendly and kind. I arrived with a very warm welcome and a mini tour to the vineyard. At night when I was lost, they came to the rescue and gave me directions. :) The only thing that I’d suggest the venue to have is some signage to indicate location of certain places at the venue for people (like me) who has a poor sense of direction :P Other than that, I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back again for another visit .

One of the best campsites I’ve ever stayed at—and I’m an avid camper. The location is absolutely beautiful and feels really private, away from other groups. The amenities were clean and well maintained, and it’s just a three-minute walk to the wine tasting. I’ll definitely be back!

Perfect peaceful location. We had a wonderful weekend. Would never book an hotel or air bnb again. Amenities were modern and clean. The best Hipcamp facilities we’ve experienced. We chose the site opposite the pond with no power or water because we’re fully self contained and coming from Sydney wanted to be furthest away from people. Cafe 10 mins walk had good breakfast and coffee. Binorie dairy, vineyards and all the restaurants we dined at were all less than 15-20 mins drive. Thank you for having us. We will definitely be back!

Lovely spot next to the open air wedding venue. Well kept area and nice and flat for the van. Amazing views. We had power and water. Good 5g. The very modern and clean shower and toilet 20 metres away was a bonus.

Paradise in the Hunter

We booked for one night and stayed 2. Fantastic place to camp with a picnic table, fire pit and we were even provided firewood. Lots of space between campsites so it felt really private. Great to have clean, modern toilet and shower. Recommend the wine tasting (the wines at beautiful). Enjoyed talking to Dan and Paul with lots of knowledge shared.

EXCEPTIONAL STAY

We had an ‘exceptional’ stay at the campsite on ‘Domaine de Binet’. Perfect pitch with the most breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside and towards a range of mountains with hot air balloons flying over one morning and kangaroos jumping through the meadows. The site is incredibly private with only a limited number of plots, so feels like you have everything to yourself. Dan and Natalie the owners were beyond accommodating and providing above and beyond anything we expected with the help of their delightful son Jacques, who set up a fire pit for us, and made our stay so pleasant. Not forgetting the adorable, ‘Schnitzel’ the Daschund. The facilities are exceptional (one of our first stops..they have set the bar high!). Their Wine Tasting with Charcuterie/Cheese board was delicious and Dan’s explanation of the wines so very informative and entertaining….highly recommend anyone visiting includes tasting in their visit…the wines are exceptional too (we rated them as best we had tasted in region). We had a great stay at the Chapel site. It was perfect for the kids to run around on the land and we even had some kangaroo visitors. The toilet facilities were very conveniently located and well presented.

The site itself is stunning and Paul at the Cellar Door is an absolute gem, we got straight into a tasting within minutes of arriving! However I paid AU$157.17 all in with Hipcamp fees and so on. There was no access to a shower - only toilets (the sink tap was also our source of potable water). I don't think that represents great value given the facilities on offer.

Lovely view, excellent facilities, and the ability to visit three cellar doors within a five minute walk is exactly what you'd hope for when staying in the Hunter Valley.

Sadly this site doesn’t exist. We finally found someone to inform us of this and they suggested going to their other site. As it was our anniversary they promised wine tasting there, which never happened. If it wasn’t a nice view and promised wine tasting we would have left. It would have also been nice to at least hear this from the host but sadly never heard from them or even received an apology. Pretty sad.

Absolutely stunning weekend

Our entire experience was wonderful. We were greeted by Paul in the cellar door who looked after us for the afternoon. His knowledge of the wines is second to none, and his overall manner made the whole experience one to remember. We woke the following morning to beautiful views of the vineyard with kangaroos hopping around and hot air balloons hovering above. Thank you for having us! We will be visiting time and time again.

Wonderful place to stay in a beautiful part of the country . Very tidy and clean place with excellent vibes. I stayed while at a conference at Rydges as big hotels are not my vibe ( or what I want to spend money on )
