The Beach Arrawarra

the region is stunning. only compaint is that we booked a creek side grassy site and ended up in the middle of all the buildings and opposite the kitchen and bins with no trees. two days in a group moved in on the area which we were told was ours and we had to move our whole setup to fit them in without anyone from the venue talking to us. Disorganised backpacker place, was very hard to talk to people and organise our site and then we didn't get it anyway, which at Christmas pricing hurts. A shame as the place is gorgeous.

Quite overpriced for what it offers. We paid $91/night for a small powered site with no river views, and the neighboring site (unpowered) was very close and they were connected to the powerbox. The site number provided isn’t accurat, you only find out your actual spot upon arrival. There were no private firepits, and no firewood available for purchase either.

Who ever owns this property should be ashamed of the damage they have done to the environment and the disgusting establishment they have created. What an absolute rip off! The worst facilities I have ever seen anywhere in Australia. This place is an absolute dump!

Overall we had a great experience as we only did tent site for 2 nights. The faucets needs an update though as it is too hard to keep pressing while washing the other hand. Shower is warm enough. Kitchen is just ok as long as you have some cooking utensils on your own. The location is awesome though. Although we went there just after rainy season and there are pooling of waters so we couldn't get around much. But over all for tent site its ok and theyre ok with dogs too.

I'm giving a what could have been review because like us at home in QLD, Kristie's park in NSW suffered from the Cyclones wind and waves. Sooo our caravan site was right on the water and had everything you could ask for, water,power,nice grassed area, concrete pad as well as local wildlife! The facility's are old but clean. The beach ⛱️ was suffering a bit from washed up seaweed and sand erosion, but certainly didn't stop water activities. There are basic necessities at the office and larger shops in surrounding areas. We enjoyed our time there and will possibly return again next year. Kristie and Toby where very accommodating when we had to postpone for a week due to the cyclone. Lots of friendly young people who come and stay for the 🏄‍♂️ and to attend the surf schools. Everyone waves and smiles. Dog friendly and our pups had an awesome time on the beach ⛱️ All in all a great week. Thanks Kristie.

Whilst we were staying at the park there were trades working on updating the waterfront villas, so I assume this work will continue onto the general amenities as they could have done with a bit of TLC.

We did not get to set up on powered sites1 & 2 on the river Our allocation was powered sites 31 & 32 in an area where cords ran everywhere and campers near us had to piggy back off our sites. Having hoses long enough to hook up to water was also a snag. Reception did lend us some longer power cords. The amenities are clean but very old and minimal. Just as well we are seasoned campers. We did have a nice time and enjoyed our holiday. The camp is quiet and friendly and a very safe place for kids dogs and oldies alike. The beach and location are superb. There were no mosquitoes or midges which was a blessing. Not sure how Hipcamp speaks to reception. We were really looking forward to our river sites. Not to worry. That’s why I put down the second rating. Lyn

Camp ground is in a great spot. Beautiful beach and surroundings. The staff are very helpful and friendly. However, the facility looks like it has been well kept and maintained in the past but currently appears to have been let go a bit and it needs a good tidy up, run down buildings which can’t be used upgraded or removed. The toilet / shower facilities are below what is expected from a caravan park. The walkway over the creek to the beach looks like it needs maintenance. Happy to return and stay there if the owners put some time and money into upgrading it.

Yes it’s rustic, yes there is a back packers hidden away, yes it is also a surf academy but Holley moley what a great time. We camped down the back at new years so unfortunately the staff where flat stick with bookings and getting things ready but once Nathan settled us in on a site we loved it! The whole place was a vibe, friendly faces everywhere the staff were all helpful and the location is amazing. This is the place to be if you have dogs, staff and campers alike where very friendly towards our mini barking tigers! Come here if you want to feel like you are camped away on your own little surfing island, if the Big4 five star ensuite bathrooms are what you are after that’s not what this place is about. Come here to relax, have some drinks and many laughs go with the flow. Also new years Jelly wrestling was pretty great too! I’ll be coming back to reclaim the title of crutches king next year! And big ups to Nathan an absolute legend of a manager going out of his way to make sure everyone staying there!

The place is well equipped for recreation with easy access to the beach. Recommend staying for more than one night to make best use of the facilities. The overall vibe was peaceful and friendly. The toilet block was having some leaking issues but there was always a stall available for toilets and showers when needed.

Absolutely wonderful. We had such a good time. Staff was very friendly. Clean kitchen, toilets and bathrooms. The offleash beach gave our dog lots of play and rund time. Sites are well located and spacious. Thanks for hosting us.

This place is absolutely beautiful, totally isolated spot surrounded by the beach and nature. Epic surf spot, unforgettable experience most definitely will be back. Super dog friendly both park and off leash beach. I loved this place 10/10

Was a very easy place to stay at! Great location near the beach and close to Coffs Habour! Only downside was no water connection, but the power connection was easy! It can get very busy with young people but we were in an RV so didn’t hear anything during the night and wasn’t bothered by it!

I would book directly through ‘The Beach Arrawarra’. We had issues finding the power and didn’t like our particular spot (right next to the toilets). We were also unsure if we could start a fire anywhere because there was no particular fire spot at our site. We ended up going to reception because I couldn’t reach the contact person on the app - even though I attempted to call twice. The reception staff took really good care of us and we ended up booking a waterfront cabin for the night. They also gave us the wifi password. Overall, we had a great time because reception at ‘The Beach Arrawarra’ helped us. 😀
