Enjoy camping by a shaded creek approximately 8 kilometres from Parkes. Unwind and relax in a beautiful setting with native flora and fauna.. Parkes is well-known for the Elvis Festival and "The Dish" which is a short drive via dirt back roads. Campers are welcome to enjoy a campfire when local regulations permit (not during summer or dry months). We try to keep the area tidy but as it’s part of a working farm there are times (sowing and harvest) when we’re just too busy to slash or mow … or the tractor is being used elsewhere. There are no amenities here, suitable for self contained campers who leave no trace.

It was simply a pleasant place to stop over. Andrew came down and spent a while with us and explained the property to us. Sixth generation farmer happy to share his property for a very reasonable sum.

So peaceful, only one there. Loved the tranquility and so useful to Parkes and surrounding areas, comfortable knowing my camper was safe ! Andrew and Lana were friendly. Thank you ☺️

Unfortunately I couldn’t go because of a medical condition.However my friend’s went and only stayed for 1 hour because they were abused for parking to close and also for having a generator .I think they went to the show ground

We had a visit from the owner welcoming us. The access was good nice and flat nicely mowed camping area with a few extra touches. Easy drive to Parkes very little phone access and no Internet enjoyed our stay there

Thanks for the stay. We enjoyed staying at your place during the Elvis Festival. Very dry and hot this time of year but we found some afternoon shade. Phone worked ok. Easy to find

Great little getaway....

This was a great spot to base ourselves to explore Parkes and its surroundings, especially during the Elvis Festival. Close to town, but secluded, with a number of different spots to set yourself up. The hosts were great, we thoroughly recommend staying here.

Very beautiful spot by the creek, quiet and well maintained not to far from town. Main road not far away for easy access but still felt private. Daughter loved the tree swing, fairy houses and bird houses around the area

What a lovely place to stay after a day driving through storms. A Christmas tree and all. We loved the location and waking up to the sound of kookaburras was pretty cool.The hosts were so helpful when we asked questions. Don't forget to take some.cahs with you to buy some home made gifts, We left with soaps and honey amongst other things. I'd definitely go back. Thankyou

Lovely grassy flat paddock with plenty of room for our group of three caravans. Andrew was very friendly and they made us feel very welcome on the property. Lovely spot near the creek and very private.

Fun camping trip to Parkes

Our family loved camping at Andrew and Lana's property. We had a great time, we had the whole place to ourselves. There is a lot of space if other people were to come you could easily spread out. Fun little creek to explore, simple swing set up for the kids which they loved. Good access to the town of Parkes and the radio telescope. Great fire pit area and lots of wood around. Would definitely recommend. Was great to meet Andrew, he popped by to introduce himself and check if we needed anything.
