Very nice place with beautiful scenerio, bit windy in camp 1 as it is on the top, check in went smooth, a guy welcomed us with all information, had accessible flush toilets and game rooms with kitchen and fridge in it. We were 10 people by ouself at camp1, regardless 2 cabin far away from us. Everything was going smooth but another guy came up at 9:50pm stating he is the care taker and was rudely told us to shut our music, which can be taken care in a nice way😰. We got bit distracted/ worried for couple of hours as there was ambulance for cabin resident. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay and relax

This place was great! Incredible views, good choice of campsites, good amenities & clearly a very well looked after site. Felt well looked after, and the directions around the place were clear and understandable. Perfect spot just far enough away to enjoy the serenity but close enough to towns. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Jodie’s land was in a super convenient location, making it easy to get to and a great base for exploring the area. The price was incredibly affordable—great value for money! One of the best parts was getting a huge load of firewood for just $25, which kept us warm and made for a perfect campfire experience. Jodie was also a very friendly and welcoming host, which made the stay even better. Highly recommended.

A beautiful setting, very well maintained by Pete, Janine, Bo, Russell and the cat. The camp sites ( tents to large caravans ) are near or follow around Grady’s creek and are well featured with easy access to the camp kitchen. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay. Cheers.

Weekend Trip to Tyalgum Showground

Our two-night tent camping experience at Tyaglum Showgrounds on a powered site by the fence line was simply amazing! The host was incredibly welcoming, making us feel right at home. The stunning backdrop of Mt Warning was breathtaking and added a magical touch to our stay. The amenities were spotless and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable visit. This beautiful location is just a pleasant 5-6 minute stroll to the town center, perfect for exploring. A visit to the local cafe is a must—its unique decorations and charming setup were a delightful surprise! Don’t miss the nearby gelato store either; it’s a real treat. Despite recent rain, the ground was dry enough upon our arrival, which was a relief. We highly recommend Tyaglum Showgrounds and can’t wait to return for another fantastic stay!

We LOVED our time at Debbie and Colin’s farmstay! Beautiful space and facilities. Kids had an absolute ball feeding the animals every day. Colin and Debbie are very generous with their space and time (my husband and kids talking their ears off half the time we were there). Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend!! 😍

The farm was very easy to find and less than 5 minutes to Tamworth. The kids and wife enjoyed feeding the animals in the afternoon. The camp ground was very nice with a relaxing surrounding to chill out in the last afternoon. Heaps of space for the kids to run around and wear themselves out.

Only 15 mins drive from the town of Macksville, 45 minutes from Coffs Harbour, 45 minutes from Port Macquarie and 20 minutes or so (but who counts) from the famous Pub With no Beer (which does have beer). This property is extremely private with a number of camp sites that have you feeling like the rest of the world no longer exists. There are six dams and views to the coast (from the top of the hill). You get to share it with a couple of horses and a few cows but it's ok they don't like sleeping in tents or caravans. Sunsets, sunrises and night time star gazing. It's an ideal place to de-stress and reconnect with nature. Welcoming self - contained campers who bring there own amenities. There is access to drinking water but otherwise everything is BYO and take away all your rubbish please. You can choose to either be completely secluded and away from everyone. 4WD access or walk in with tents. Or you can set up closer to the entrance road and roadway (more suitable to caravans). There are lovely walks on the property itself or go for a casual stroll up the dirt road but watch out for the 3 or 4 cars every couple of hours or so. Views are amazing, air is incredible and the night sky is breathtaking. Campfires are possible but only in some months. The ideal place to get away from it all but close enough to Coffs Coast Tourist attractions, including amazing places to eat. Your pet is welcome to camp with you, but please do not let them stray onto neighbours' farms or chase stock. They run the risk of being baited or shot. There is stock on the property so please leave all gates as you find them. If they are open they stay open. If closed they stay closed.

Mellows Ridge

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

We are a dog-friendly park so the whole family is welcome. Dogs need to be restrained at all times and cleaned up after. No aggressive dogs please. Campfires are permitted in designated fire pits only and may be subject to fire bans. Firewood and ice are available for purchase. Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. PLEASE NOTE GOOGLE MAPS is not always correct. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp.
