Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have five campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 300m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend and the Crossing sites are only suitable for 4x4's and off-road vans / trailers. Located halfway between Batemans Bay and Moruya, and 5km from Mogo. Great for shopping, eateries and Mogo Zoo. You can even frequently hear animals from our campsites! Campers need to bring everything and remove everything, leaving no trace. Bring your own supply of water. Firewood can be purchased by the wheelbarrow load, please add to your booking if required. Otherwise, BYO firewood. We have nine portaloo's available for use, they are situated throughout the property. Dogs are welcome if controlled at all times and do not bark or chase livestock. We have two Border Collies, so we are dog friendly for friendly well-behaved dogs. Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. This will ensure compliance with NSW State Govt regulations that are policed heavily by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property (which we strongly believe should be permitted. 2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. FREE FIREWOOD is available on site. 3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Access and exit will become challenging for larger motorhomes and caravans, heavy camping trailers and 2WD vehicles (especially front-wheel-drive), after periods of heavy or prolonged rain. We will refund your booking fee if you choose to cancel, or we close the property, due to the weather (it will need to be bad for us to close the property, so you won’t want to be there anyway). As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

Lisa & Ross have a stunning property, it’s perfect for all to stay- families, individuals and groups of friend’s! I was there on a girls trip and my friend could bring her doggies along too. Ross provided us with heaps of firewood for only $15 per night and the communal area/ amenities were all very clean and easy to find. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be back there sometime 🔥🏕️

What a great space. Large sites, good location and amazing facilities & ammenities. Booked last minute over the Easter long weekend after another hipcamp cancelled on us and I’m almost glad because this site had everything we needed and more. Note if you want to have a fire will need to be in a portable fire pit which is the only thing I wish I knew prior.

This is our second time staying at the Clyde River Campgrounds. It's the most stunning, tranquil camp area we've ever found. The sites are well dispersed, dead level and absolutely river front. The entire area is lush, well kept grass with not a prickle to be seen. There are some sites with power and water and also unpowered sites. The facilities are basic but well kept. It's also dog friendly 🐕 and camp fires are allowed (fire restrictions permitting) 🔥. There's even a concrete boat ramp for those wanting to launch straight onto the river. Ross and Lisa are super friendly hosts and great for a chat about local attractions in Batemans Bay and surrounds This is our all time favourite spot since getting our first camper about 9 years ago and travelling in SA, VIC and NSW.
