Weekend Trip to Glennbrooke River Camp

Absolutely stunning location - beautiful views and the peaceful sound of fish jumping. Had the best time as a base to SUP. Brooke was super responsive, and the wheelbarrow load of wood was generous!! Would absolutely love to stay again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful spot.

2 nights at Glennbrooke River Camp

WOW WOW WOW, My Husband, myself and our Border Collie spent 2 beautiful nights at Glennbrook Campground our Host Brooke was amazing giving us perfect easy instructions to the camp and when we arrived Brooke and the family was so lovely and friendly, we then were guided to our site and didn't want to leave. Camped right on the river, fabulous fire pit, thought have a bit of fun trying fishing and FISH ON !!! a tad small let her go, also watched a kangaroo swim across the river in front of us. We had a dip in the river which was lovely and refreshing this was 5th May 25. The Property is gorgeous the sites are level and spacious, we got our Hyundi Staria van there no problem. Overall, a very special and magical place to unwind and enjoy, thank you for sharing your beautiful property ....we will see you again soon. 10/10 and more. Amanda

1 night at Glennbrooke River Camp

You will be hard pushed to find a more idyllic and tranquil setting. The camp sites are secluded, spacious, on even grassy ground and right on the river which is teaming with fish, birds and wildlife. Brooke and the family are wonderful, welcoming and attentive hosts. I will certainly coming back. I cannot recommend highly enough.

2 nights at Little Forest Farmstay

We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at the front of Elsie's property, opposite the barn. It's a high site overlooking the creek and cow paddocks below, very wet when we first arrived and beautiful in the early morning fog. Elsie is a lovely host and very friendly. We look forward to returning one day and going for a swim in the creek when it's a bit less hectic (camped after Easter which saw some pretty torrential downpours) Beware of the ticks! We found a few in our hair when we got home. We probably could have been a bit more careful, we went on a few adventures in the long grass. Typical of any coastal bush camping.

My husband and I loved Anchorage Farm Narooma. Plenty of space on the green grass surrounded by bush. Birds and wallabies added to the beauty of the campsite.

Weekend Trip to Figtree Camp @ Mystery Bay

This was our 3rd visit to Figtree Camp and as always it was a pleasure to stay. The hosts are always very welcoming but not imposing, the property is always well kept, and the location is perfect for accessing the beach and surrounding areas. We will always come back to this site.

Weekend Trip to Glennbrooke River Camp

Glenbrooke River Camp was a wonderful escape offering fishing, canoe and paddle boarding, star gazing and a enjoyable time reflecting by the fire. The campsite was exceptional, offering a generous fire pit and tables & chairs under cover. Easy access to the site, Brooke was a delight and we vote this camping experience to be in the top ten of our adventures. We will definitely be frequenting Glenbrooke River Camp again, the next time with the family.

Weekend Trip to Ingenia Holidays Merry Beach

Great welcome - friendly and helpful staff. Great site/position. Clean, clean, clean - site, amenities and general area. Music from the van behind us was a little loud but stopped dead on curfew time. Good mix of campers - very family orientated - we did not have children or dogs - but there was a great feel and a place for everyone. Amenities were clean and private - I was worried it would be a lot of queuing but it seemed to run smoothly on a busy weekend. Beach and sound of the waves was an excellent bonus. Highly recommend this site. Bring your food though - shops are a bit of a trek and very basic office stock - milk, long-life and snacks. Prawn van, donut van and ice cream van came on site - reasonable but not cheap.

Fantastic campground with excellent amenities and terrific waterfront views. Powered site made charging the car overnight super simple, recommend a decent extension lead in case you’re not directly in front of the outlets. Loved seeing the sun set over the water and will definitely return for another stay.

Weekend Trip to Glennbrooke River Camp

We had a wonderful stay – the property is beautifully secluded, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle. Brooke and Glen were such lovely, attentive hosts, even providing firewood so we could enjoy the large fire pits on site. Our dog had an absolute blast – the flat, grassy grounds were perfect for him to run around, and he loved splashing in the river. We’ll definitely be back in a heartbeat to soak up more sunsets, stargazing, and the peaceful bush setting.

We are 20km west of beautiful Bawley Point beaches, 33km south of historic Milton which boasts fine dining plus great shopping and the same distance via a different route to Ulladulla and its quaint harbour. For the more energetic there some great bushwalks, including climbing Didthul (pigeon house). Ideally configured for 20. Additional camp sites are available in an adjoining space. The shed has a bar with cold, potable water. A few tables and chairs are provided for your convenience. The lights require a small generator to power them. We use a 2kv With private access to one of the largest waterholes on the freshwater Clyde, you are welcome to bring your own kayaks, fishing gear (license required) and flotation devices. Sunset Point

When you stay at Sunset Point you have lake frontage onto Borang Lake ( 4km from Potato Point), which connects directly with the Tuross lakes. You are able to launch your own tinny at our private jetty. A firepit is provided and you can collect your own wood yourself, or purchase a $25 a wheel barrow load with your booking. Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self. There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at Potato Point. There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days. Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful. Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around. The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat. You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise. Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s. 30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of Narooma and Moruya. No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

Tin Can Ridge

Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. Respect the land, the wildlife and people. Keep the peace. Enjoy.

This has 4 bedrooms bathroom and kitchen heating when required is a slow combustion wood stove very relaxing. There are no amenities for campers, please BYO and leave no trace. There is plenty of branches and wood on the ground for a fire but please no fires when fire bans in place. Dogs are OK but as we are a sheep property they must be well controlled and on a leash and not left to roam. We prefer smaller dogs. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Plenty of firewood around to gather your own. If you want it cut it for you then buy some as an extra and add it to your order. Please check with the host on arrival regarding local fire conditions. No set areas for camping - choose when you get here. Suitable for caravans, motor homes, tents. Lots of options! No mobile phone reception if you walk around the paddock you may get a signal, If you need to contact us once you have a booking, contact us via email or landline. Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf. There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed. To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is. To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here. To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley. For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui. For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast. The Ridge

Only 4.5 kms from the Kings Highway lies this idyllic property where John and Pippa have built their rural home, keep goats, chickens and grow their own vegetables. Once part of a huge thriving farmstead with lots of local history, a secret Bushrangers grave and scattered gold deposits are rumoured to be hidden amongst the snow gums. Descendants of the original landowners still live in nearby Heritage listed Braidwood. We have 104 acres of beautiful and varied terrain with fabulous rolling views. During your stay enjoy our amazing bird life, kangaroos, wallabies, possibly echidnas, rosenburgs, wombats and even deer. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time of your stay. This is the ideal location to just relax and enjoy nature at its finest. On a clear night the stars are amazing. We are only an hour from Canberra situated halfway between the picturesque towns of Braidwood and Bungendore, both within 20 mins away. Sorry, no pets.
