Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow, seasonal produce is available from the garden and our own beef and local lamb is also now available. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. Please see "Extras" We are open from October to April.

T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Millwood is located 6kms from COOMA n.s.w. in the Snowy Mountains Region and is within easy reach to a number of great locations. It is about 90 minutes from Canberra, just over an hour from Thredbo and Perisher and Mt Selwyn snowfields and 1.5 hours from all the beautiful beaches that the South Coast has to offer. A short drive of under 7 minutes takes you to the Murrumbidgee River on a sealed council road. There is a flat grassed picnic area and council gas run b-bques under cover. You may find internet and mobile not fully covered here. I have a mobile that I use which works well depending where I stand. Now has 3 adjacent camp sites available. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. No pets please as we have a wildlife corridor here. * I am considering quiet well behaved pets for campers but not in the bush hut. Will verify soon*.

Dogs must be on a lead at all times however we offer our site “The Yards” which is a fully enclosed 2 acre unpowered site. Pet minding by a qualified vet nurse is available on most days (prior arrangement essential- in own van). Presently, we have one site- “The Yards”which is unpowered and fully enclosed and pet friendly. It is very accessible, yet still offers privacy and an abundance of space. Alternately you can choose to completely immerse yourself in the Snowy Mountains landscape at our spectacular Sirett’s Hut. A must for 4WD enthusiasts and avid hikers. Availability dependent on weather and access conditions. Pets on application. All sites are individual sites- plenty of room and no adjoining sites. We offer water tank refills at the homestead (water is a mixture of rainwater and bore water). Firewood can be collected (cut from the ground only), or we offer cut wood for a small fee. Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it. We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Normally dry firewood is easy to find, or purchase some from us if you prefer. The exception is the bell tent glamping option,' Tin Can Ridge Glamping' which has a toilet included as well as firewood and shortly its own wood stove! Some campsites are best accessed by 4WD, or on foot. or gain access to the glamping tent with us escorting you. Camp lightly. No hunting. Do nothing illegal. Take all waste with you. Respect the land, the wildlife and people. Keep the peace. Enjoy.

Get close up to the camels (Houdini, Sadeek and Gobi), Check out our beautiful big highland steer called Jimmy, Roger the donkey always likes a bum scratch, and see the many other animals that live here at Crafty Cider & SMART Animal Sanctuary. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

The Shelter is not a cabin but an open-air space for use by campers who are self-sufficient with bedding arrangements - swags, tents, camper trailers or vans. The creek running through the property provides great swimming and fishing (a 400m walk/drive from The Shelter), and the surrounding bush environment provides opportunities for walks, 4WD adventures, and wildlife spotting. More about the property... In 2017 we purchased our small farm in the Nariel Valley. It ticked all the boxes including a creek running through it and backing onto bushland. Now the dream has been realised and we are living in our new home, on our farm, with our small herd of Angus cows. We knew Nariel was special but we continue to discover its myriad of offerings for those who love the great outdoors. We look forward to sharing what we have discovered with our visitors. About Nariel: Wildlife abounds here, with wombats, emus, and kangaroos roaming the property and the list is endless for bird-watching enthusiasts. The remote location on a clear night provides a dark star-filled sky with shooting stars a common occurrence for those who are looking. Nariel Creek is a renowned trout fishing destination. The tracks around the Nariel Valley are a popular destination for motorbike and 4WD enthusiasts. Mount Pinnibar Track and Mount Gibbo are both accessed via Nariel. Several high country huts, all re-built since the January 2020 bushfires, are within an hour drive. Nariel was a thriving community during the gold rush, at that time there were 4 schools and a pub in the valley. Historical relics and gold can still be found. Panning in the creek and tributaries can be a rewarding pastime. The Nariel Creek provides a great spot to cool down in summer and is fast-flowing for a fun float through rapids. In spring the Nariel Valley is where you will find some beautiful wildflower sites. Nariel is home to the Nariel Folk Festival held over a week in late December – early January each year. And that is only in Nariel Valley! Corryong is the nearest township (population ~1350) and is 25 minutes away. The Murray River at Towong is 40 minutes away. Kayaking, push bike riding and many other pursuits are all on your doorstep if you can drag yourself away from Nariel.

Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. If not booked by others its a quiet spot amongst a bush setting. also offers an RV site. You can relax around your firepit and enjoy watching the beautiful wildlife that come to visit the property including Kangaroos, Wombats and a variety of native birds. The host runs a Day Spa from her home so you may like to treat yourself to some self care. Please check with host as to availability of Spa Treatments. Why not check out our outdoor clawfoot bath during your stay. It's an amazing experience under the stars! Tank water is available but please use sparingly. The surrounding region is hugely popular for cyclists and bushwalkers with many great tracks available to explore. Mt Gladstone now has a popular track and Iread there are plans for a big upgrade. There is a lookout at the top and can recommend Miss Heides Austrian Restaurent. Amazing authentic home cooked bavarian meals in a rustic log cabin with a fireplace. The Murrumbidgee River is just about 4 klms away, where you can enjoy a picnic along it's banks and take a dip if it's warm enough. We prefer campers who are fully self contained. Campers must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. There is an outside basic toilet that is a compost type with sawdust and is cleaned regularly. Bush camping on 100 acres in the Tinderry Range at about 1400 metres altitude. Seclusion and adventure all within an hour of Canberra and twenty minutes from Michelago and the Monaro highway. Big skies and dark nights for star-gazing are likely; or perhaps you'll be nestled in cloud; or hidden by falling snow. There are numerous tracks with spectacular views around the property for bush walking or mountain bike riding. The tracks are surrounded by sub-alpine flora and fauna (such as wallaby's, wombats, lyrebirds) and nearby in the Tinderry Nature Reserve. Tinderry Range is a rugged range east of the Monaro highway accessed mostly through Michelago or an hour and a half from Braidwood (when dirt roads are reasonable). The range is only around 70km away from the coast, thus enabling a sea mist to often roll over us in the late afternoon. Summer temperatures are a pleasant 6 degrees or so cooler than nearby Canberra. You may choose between a number of options for camping depending on your camping desires and set up. There are numerous tracks around our property or nearby Tinderry Nature Reserve. You may go exploring to find the springs or choose to stick to easy walking tracks that follow the contours. We will provide a map. Tracks are also great for mountain bike riding and exploring the unusual mix of sub-alpine, montane and coastal flora and fauna. There is numerous species of bird life and regular calls from lyre birds. This area has fascinating history with the largest eucalyptus distillery in Australia until the late 1950's and very popular with a number of bushrangers such as the Clarke Brothers who had numerous hideouts. No amenities. BYO camping toilet and leave no trace. Campfires (except on fire ban days or when we advise otherwise) are okay--usually recommended. Kick back and listen to the quiet around you, enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. "The Orchard" is a beautiful peaceful 5 minute walk down a gravel road with big trees to our Cidery where you can taste and take back to camp some of our cider or sit and have a drink while watching the animals being fed. Maybe book a tour where Tony will show you how we make our cider from the orchard to the bottle and Lorene will show you the amazing animals. You can always jump on your bike and head out on one of the many tracks in the area. You will need to be self sufficient and have your own toilet, water etc. There is no power in The Orchard. Due to people using the orchard as a toilet we are now no longer taking people tenting. You MUST be self sufficient. Head in Batlow to check out the bakery, RSL and Pub and admire the beauty of this small town. Or head upto Tumbarumba where you can visit the Winerys and Ginnery, have lunch at Coroubya wines,The Nest or one of the many cafes. Maybe take the challange of the Tumbarumba rail trail. Check out the water falls, the blowering dam and take in those beautiful mountain views.

The Shelter is not a cabin but an open-air space for use by campers who are self-sufficient with bedding arrangements - swags, tents, camper trailers or vans. The creek running through the property provides great swimming and fishing (a 400m walk/drive from The Shelter), and the surrounding bush environment provides opportunities for walks, 4WD adventures, and wildlife spotting. More about the property... In 2017 we purchased our small farm in the Nariel Valley. It ticked all the boxes including a creek running through it and backing onto bushland. Now the dream has been realised and we are living in our new home, on our farm, with our small herd of Angus cows. The tracks around the Nariel Valley are a popular destination for motorbike and 4WD enthusiasts. Mount Pinnibar Track and Mount Gibbo are both accessed via Nariel. Several high country huts, all re-built since the January 2020 bushfires, are within an hour drive. Nariel was a thriving community during the gold rush, at that time there were 4 schools and a pub in the valley. Historical relics and gold can still be found. Panning in the creek and tributaries can be a rewarding pastime. The Nariel Creek provides a great spot to cool down in summer and is fast-flowing for a fun float through rapids. In spring the Nariel Valley is where you will find some beautiful wildflower sites. Nariel is home to the Nariel Folk Festival held over a week in late December – early January each year. Obviously from our name, but also from "creel" which is a wicker basket usually used for carrying fish. Escape the hustle bustle of life on our 10 acres alpaca life style farm which is nestled between beautiful hills and grazing properties on Walteela Road in Mannus (20 min drive to Tumbarumba). Walteela means "Place of Peace" and that is what you might be looking for. No traffic waking you. Listen to the sounds of nature instead... Enjoy the peacefulness, local wildlife (kookaburras, echidnas, wombats, kangaroos, etc.), small creek, stunning mountain views and dark skies for star gazing. Birdwatchers... you'll love it! Love fishing? Enjoy a chat with Craig, who has been a pro line fisherman for 18 years in the GBR! He loves to explore, show off the local fishing spots and a chat about all things fishing! View our placid Scottish Galloway cattle (currently with calves!) pat our friendly poddy Cody and grab a photo opportunity. We also have a beautiful horse Ali and her yearling colt diesel, just watch your fingers with him, gelded now but still thinks he’s a stallion. 5 fat Dorper sheep look like running rugs running around. A real country experience! An Angora goat and slashed tracks to access the beautiful 130 acres around the farm. The small village of Michelago is 5km from our property, has the fuel servo and a terrific General Store, which serves great burgers and milkshakes plus much more. 20mins to the town of Bredbo with its own pub is great for counter lunches and dinners. The Town of Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy mountains is a 40 min drive south. Also if you want to go camping with friends and introduce them to the great outdoors and they don’t have the gear ask about our hire service of all things needed to have a great camp, some are listed but more is always available to hire, just send me a message. Bimbimbi river bend is a wonderfully secluded spot on the river. Camping amongst the popler trees gave us a wonderful place to have picnics with the kids. The river flows deep enough for an adult to float with a beer down stream. While the sheltered shallows are great for kids to play in the mud with an abundance of skipping rocks Ian and his family are very welcoming with free access to and from the farm with town close by and markets on the weekends with lots of family fun. We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Creal’s Rest. It was very peaceful. The alpacas were sweet and curious and there was even a baby alpaca! The burbling creek was pretty and a soothing sound. The big apple box gum tree was spectacular and provided nice shade. The site is just down the hill from the main house but quite private. There is a composting drop toilet (with no door). We saw a few platypus in Mannus creek 5 minutes drive down the road at the bridge. It was lovely and green in late spring. Our hosts were kindly and interesting to chat with. Thanks for having us!

Another beautiful stay at Ian and Olga’s property. It is 5 years now since we found their sites on hip camp. The site is right on the river and picture perfect. Lots of birds to listen and watch and the cows are lovely to watch. Grass is kept short and pretty flat making tent set up easy. Fire and fire wood provided and a toilet is set up. Fishing, swimming, reading and daydreaming…perfect place to do some recharging and enjoy nature.

We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. Since the early 1800s our property has been a sheep and cattle grazing farm. Our first ancestors settled in this area in 1821 and we enjoy a rich historical connection to our country. Little has changed since those early days with native pastures and forests existing in harmony with wildlife and livestock. You will likely see emu and a vast array of other birdlife, kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, crayfish and small fish. There are two creeks, both with 4km frontage on the property. Native plants, flowers and trees are in abundance. Farm infrastructure includes timber stock yards, buildings and sheds, some dating back to the 1800s. Four distinct seasons occur at this latitude and elevation. However, weather is changeable throughout the year so always be prepared for sudden changes in conditions. Snow can fall periodically during winter but on occasions even on Christmas Day.
