Welcome to Camp Hideaway @ Jindabyne Nestled on a spacious private property with beautiful lake and mountain views, this unique camping spot is perfectly positioned right in the heart of Jindabyne. It offers the ideal balance of convenience and nature, where you can enjoy a campfire under the stars and still stroll into town with ease. Camp Hideaway @ Jindabyne is just a short 10-minute walk to the town centre and only a few minutes from the lakeside, making it a fantastic base for both relaxation and adventure. While the setting feels peaceful and tucked away, please note this is not a rural or farmland property—there are neighbouring residential homes nearby. If you’re seeking a remote, off-grid country escape, those are typically found 15–20 km outside of town. What you’ll find here instead is a comfortable, well-located camping experience with everything close at hand. Set across landscaped grounds, the property features four generously sized campsites designed to offer space, comfort, and a sense of privacy. Suitable for tents, campervans, or caravans, there’s also ample room for boats and trailers. The elevated position of the property adds to its charm, offering lovely outlooks and a slightly adventurous feel. Campsites themselves are level and accessible, though some areas include gentle slopes. Site 2 - a lovely sunny site, sits a little lower than site 1, look s west toward the mounatins and toward the lake. Has a slope grassy area to relax and have a fire. firepit available plenty of free wood. bring axe to chop wood. With gas BBQ and fire pit located on site you just need to turn up and you are ready to relax. With a short walk to the shared toilet and shower block, there is also a laundry in the same space. 2 wheel is ok slight slope to get into the level area 4WD is recommended.

Site1 Largest level site, good for large campers buses RV. Positioned to look west up into the snowy mountains of Kosciusko range and filtered lake views. With gas BBQ and fire pit located on site you just need to turn up and you are ready to relax. With a short walk to the shared toilet / shower amenities block. Easy level access for larger vans and setups.

Site 4 is a large level site plenty space, well protected and sunny, there is a sloping access road down to site, 4 wheel drive recommended. The sites are located near residential area in jindabyne, if you are looking for rural land to camp suggest that you search for properties 15 - 20kms out of town. The site has a firepit, free firewood ( bring your axe) and power water. Aso a gas BBQ is provided. Drive up long concrete driveway to level gravel parking area, Large grey container is the shower, toilet, laundry block. You will see house on right drive past house and site 1 is located straight ahead. turn left down small slope towards blue shipping container. continue down gravel road to level site 4 at the bottom. See Mud Map Photo, 4WD recommended.

Way smaller than photos. Defiantly need a 4wd to get a trailer due to the hill. Site was occupied by tents when we showed and the owner/contact don’t respond.

We had a brilliant time here. The campsite offers a wonderful atmosphere and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s quiet, scenic, and very well-kept. The host was also very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in this part of the country!

The location was greta and had views over Lake Jindabyne. We used it as our base and it's location to town was excellent. Be aware that the sites are excellent for camping and roof top tent but siteas 3 and 4 are tricky to parck a trailer or van. Only 1 shower so get in early. Overall, good experience and would return again.

Showers and bathrooms were clean and the location is close to the lake and the shops. Site 4 is only suited for 4-Wheel Drive vehicles or tents, it took five tries and four people to get out of the site as the wheels of our van repeatedly spun out on the steep incline. And, if you are looking for nature or privacy, this location is not suitable as there are blocks of apartments overlooking the camp site.

Shaun’s premises was perfectly situated with easy access to both Jindabyne town itself, the lake, and mountains. It was myself, my old man with my 2 kids our car and a boat which the layout was perfect for. The children loved it! We will definitely be back.

Although the site has basic amenities and the toilet facilities are clean and well maintained, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The site is located in the middle of a residential settlement, and the description provided does not match the actual location when you arrive. The campsites are very close to each other, making the area feel congested and lacking privacy. Because it is surrounded by settlements, it does not feel like camping in nature. I strongly recommend that anyone booking this site check the location on Google Maps beforehand to ensure it aligns with what they are expecting. Additionally, the site is extremely windy, and making a fire was not possible. Upon arrival, there was no host present and no clear instructions provided. I also attempted to contact the host through Hipcamp one day prior to check-in but did not receive any response. Overall, the site and camping experience did not match the photos or description shown on Hipcamp.
