I recently stayed at Millwood Cottage and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The setting is stunning, tucked away in the peaceful countryside. The campsite is situated in a quiet area just behind the host’s home, which added a sense of safety and comfort. I was also pleasantly surprised to have access to 4G mobile data throughout my stay.

Nice, flat camping sites. There are three reasonably close together but I was only booking so had the place to myself. Overlooked nice native fish and some pine trees, very peaceful spot.
It is on a property with a few homes nearby, including the host's. Diane was great, easy set up instructions and she popped down to see me when she got home to show me around etc.
It was a nice basic hipcamp, inexpensive and good value for what it offered 🙂

Millwood Cottage is not far from Cooma, secluded and quiet, but a few things can be improved.
The website shows a pond or a creek, but there was none to be seen. The campsite is up on a hill and the water gives a false impression.
There are three RV sites close to each other, but none ate quite level.
There is only one fire pit for the three sites, which may be difficult if those camping are from different groups.

Great stopover near Cooma. Diane is a fabulous host - very helpful and welcoming! The Bush Hut was very comfortable with a heap of Snowy's rustic charm. Great stay!

The hut is warm and cosy with the fire going, the spot is beautiful and Diane the host is really lovely and accommodating. My partner and I had a great two nights here and felt relaxed and well looked after. The hut itself feels private despite proximity to the main house. The view out of the big window by the bed and sunrise in the morning make it worth a trip! If you do stay, make sure to visit Miss Heidi's Teahouse nearby!

Diane is a very nice lady and being close to the township of Cooma made daily outings easy for us. As well as the river being a 5-10 minute drive away.
However I felt misled on arrival as the listing made it appear as though the camp spot was next to the river. Not a show stopper but would’ve been nice if it were made more clear to avoid confusion.

I really enjoyed my time at Binjura Bush Hut. The hut was exactly as described, very comfortable with a great bed, lovely views, easy to find and a very nice set-up. Diane was very helpful with any questions I had and gave me tips for exploring the area. There are two other campsites in the area, but they're on the plateau below the hut and there is good privacy. Diane runs a day spa and gave me an outdoor reflexology session and neck, back and face massage on her outside table - very relaxing and professional treatment. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I loved the rustic hut experience at Diane's property. She made sure to provide drinking water and we had most of the luxuries of a glamping experience. The window scenary was amazing looking out across the rolling hills. It was wonderful to sit outside at the table enjoying the starry night.

Beautiful spot to set up for a few nights - loved waking up and watching the black cockatoos! Nice big spot to set up in, we came in a car and camped. Great fire pit and abundance of firewood. Diane was so lovely and offered us suggestions of walks and good places in Cooma to eat (we loved Rose’s Lebanese restaurant) - we would definitely come back to this spot and next time bring the kids.

No communcation on the day. Went to the camp and nobody was there to greet us. Campsite did not look suitable for our campervan. Ended up staying in town instead.

We loved our stay at Diane's cabin, it was exactly what we were after. Private and amongst nature. She got the fire going prior to arrival and showed us around the property, helping us collect some wood for the outdoor fire pit. She also provided a dutch oven which we used to cook a chili con carne in the fire. Highly recommend!

Whilst we enjoyed our overnight stay, access for a caravan was tight and tricky. Great for tents or camper trailers, off road vehicle. Diane greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel very welcome. Some of the advertising has river photos, there is no river where we camped. Nice overnighter.

Diane is such a friendly person. The camp site is very quite set amongst the snow gums. Sheltered somewhat from the southern winds by the hills behind. Nice outlook over the bush. I would be back if I came this way again. You do need to be self sufficient though.

Loved Diane's Hut, it is clean and cosy, the views are so beautiful from the table and chairs outside, there is a country charm and history about the way she did up this hut. Toilet is in the open with privacy screen, I thought that was different and didn't mind at all, no running water but supply if water and camp shower. Diane ran a cable so we had lights for reading and charging phone. Plenty of kindling to keep a fire going inside

We didn’t get to stay for this booking because when we arrived the host wasn’t around and can’t be contacted. I kept calling her and left voice messages and decided to go to the closest town to get some supplies. My messages wasn’t delivered either at that time. After about 30min we went back to the property, tried to call her again but her phone wasn’t go through.( We travelled 4hrs from Sydney for this) We waited for a bit and even checked the neighbours’ home at the front but no one there either. Hence we decided to leave and go home.
At about 20:03 the host texted me shes “on the way home and to meet her at the front gate…there’s a horse in there that could escape”. When I told her we already on our back to Sydney she replied “you can stay for another night for free if you like”. What kind of customer service is this? Only replied us after more than 3 hours? No apologies no empathy for other people? We have work on the 3rd January and we don’t have the luxury to stay longer. As a matter of fact I’ve message her in HipCamp app and emailed her to double confirm the date and time but she never replied.
Stay away from this property if you don’t want to be disappointed, and still no refund.

The rustic gorgeousness of Diane’s hut and her thoughtfulness as a host are absolutely fantastic! We look forward to all the plans she has continuing to unfold:) Our stay was super peaceful, the bed and hut super snug with loads of character and touches - we loved the outdoor dinner table too!!

Loved that hut camping. The views were beautiful and the night with clear sky. Star gazing, fire wood and little talks around the fire pit, loved it. Wake up call with Kangaroos around is another thing. Best suitable for couple, kids might not be suitable for the place.

Rustic cabin that is clean, quiet & cosy. We enjoyed our 3 night stay and really felt the cabin to be a hidden secret. Think camping without the need to erect a tent, but with a wood burning stove and a comfortable double bed. No power, nor traditional toilet or shower facilities but you will have access to water for a sponge bath. Diane couldn't have been more accommodating as our host. A unique experience where we could disconnect and recharge. Would definitely stay again.

Great camping spot by the fire pit and Diane was a great host who gave some awesome recommendations about attractions around the region. Highly recommend it for a quiet weekend away or heading to the mountains. Met a cheeky magpie every morning who invited himself into my van to wake me up. Will be back!
