Ingelara Farm is a working organic biodynamic family farm. Located 65 km from Canberra and 50 km from Cooma. We grow potatoes, garlic, pumpkins and a variety of summer vegetables as well as running 60 head of angus cows. We are excited to offer rustic accommodation on the farm, perfect for those wanting to enjoy the tranquillity of country life, a drink at the campfire, bush walks, fishing in our large fresh water dam or as a base to explore the Snowy Mountains. You have a choice of two shipping containers, both furnished with a double bed. As well as two campsites to pitch your own tent, on a flat grassy area near the converted shipping containers. A shared toilet and hot shower is located 80m from the accommodation. You will have access to drinking water if required. Please also note: - The driveway from the highway to the site is a gravel road suitable for 2WD however please drive according to conditions - The site is located near the farm sheds, whilst we will respect your privacy you will be staying on a working farm consequently some movement and noise will not be avoidable between 8am and dark. - You are welcome to try your luck fishing in the dam or if you have a kayak and life jacket you can bring for a paddle, however please be aware that the unfenced dam is a drowning hazard for children. - We provide firewood at an extra cost of $20/bundle - As there is no council bin service available we ask that you take your rubbish with you. - Full telephone signal available for Telstra, however, any other provider is patchy. - Please note that there are farm dogs on the property, and no other pets are allowed.

Me and a work colleague stayed at the ingelara farm for 5 nights, We both agreed that it was an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to wake up and fall asleep, I would without a doubt bring the family back and 100% recommend it to anyone on the search for a relaxing and peaceful place to camp,, See you guys again soon ✌️

We had an absolutely amazing time camping on Beatrice, Tobias, Laurence & Lina’s land! The entire experience was fantastic, starting with the hosts, who are incredibly welcoming and accommodating—they really went out of their way to make our stay fun. ​The property offers two distinct and great sites. We found that both have lots of free space for setup, which is wonderful. For those prioritizing convenience, Site 2 is closer to the toilet and shower facilities. ​The scenery around the farm is breathtaking; the lake and the surrounding farmland are truly beautiful. It’s a very peaceful and picturesque setting. ​One important tip for future Hipcampers: since the sites are located around 700 meters above sea level, it can get quite chilly, even during late spring. Be sure to pack extra layers and warm gear for the evenings! ​Overall, we had a blast and highly recommend this beautiful spot.

We had an amazing stay here. It was good to see a family run farm in action. Hosts could not be more welcoming with the small touches like ensuring lights were turned on for us after dusk and the lovely body wash supplied in the bush shower. We will definitely be back.

We loved camping away on this farm, it’s so beautiful and we liked how it’s out of “town” and nice an quite but still close for driving in between towns. We got a pumpkin and some potato’s and the hosts were lovely, so nice and kind and communicated with us for everything which we liked. We felt safe and secure during our stay at the farm, we will definitely come back in the future to stay again ❤️😊 Thanks so much Beatrice, Tobias, Laurence and Lina for letting us stay at your farm for our anniversary weekend away!!

We camped here for two days and had a wonderful experience. Beatrice was a fantastic host, warm, friendly, and very helpful. She personally showed us around and explained how to use the shower and toilet facilities, which were clean, functional, and conveniently close to the campsites. The campsite itself was well-maintained and peaceful. During our stay, we had the whole place to ourselves, which gave us plenty of privacy. However, it's worth noting that the cabins are located quite close to the campsites, so privacy might be limited when they are occupied. There’s a designated common area for campfires, which is a nice touch, though individual campfires aren’t allowed at the campsites. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay. The surroundings are beautiful and serene. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Had a lovely weekend on the farm. Lovely and quiet. Our son helped pick potatoes with the family and we enjoyed walking around the property. Went down the road to the pie shop and visited Cooma. Nice hot shower and toilet was clean and basic. Loved camping here. Great spot.

I recently spent a night at Rustic Farm Camp Site 1 at Ingelara Farm, and it was a great experience. The site was clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. We had a spacious pitch with plenty of room for our tent and gear, and the level ground made setup easy. One of the highlights was the peaceful atmosphere—no loud parties or disturbances, just the calming sounds of the animals. The facilities were basic but exactly as pictured: the toilet and shower were clean, and water was provided. Laurence was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Ingelara Farm to anyone looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway.

Rustic Farm Camp site 2
We had a great time staying there. Very friendly, communicative and helpful owners. The farm is big and the surrounding is beautiful. We were able to walk around the farm and it was peaceful and tranquil. As this is a working farm, you can sometimes see and hear tractors and trucks during the day but they never came near to the camp-sites. There are also a few working dogs(all friendly) but they do not roam into the campsites freely. This site 2 is closer to the toilets and shower facilities than the communal fire place which was great for us. Beatrice suggested for us to pitch the tent just in between 2 trees which gave us some shade for our dining area and a chance to hang the hammock. There is also a bbq area just beside one of the trees.

Peaceful and Serene camping with magnificent Mountain & Lake views. Trees for shade & mowed lawns welcomed us. Beatrice could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We were presented some wonderful organic produce from the kitchen garden. A flushing toilet & hot shower were a bonus. We will definitely return

What a peaceful place to stay. Clean and tidy room, a bit hot during the day but cool down quickly at night, not a bad thing. Toilet and shower quite a bit walk but not too bad. If there is a fire pit for BBQ in front of the container would be great. Recommended.

I had a wonderful time camping at Ingelara. Laurence, Tobias, and Beatrice were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. The facilities were good, with the campfire being a standout feature. The location itself is absolutely sublime – perfect for a relaxing getaway.

We had a very comfortable camping stay. Laurence, our host, was very quick to respond to our query, and very kindly greeted us, and showed us around. The camping area is nice and grassy. We particularly appreciated the hot shower after a long drive. The location itself is lovely and peaceful, with views of the potatoes field and the dam. We absolutely recommend.

Easy to find and lovely hosts. The flushing toilet was an absolute gem. Loved how peaceful it was and such beautiful surrounds to wake up to. Very clean and I wish I had more time to explore! The weather unfortunately was not in my favor but I will be back at some point!

Great fun camping at Ingelara Farm. Woke up to a view of the mountains, great amenities with a flush toilet and hot shower. Nice and tranquil, close enough to some beautiful walks and Canberra city centre

We had a great time in the Green Container! We got the solitude and nature-hit that we were craving, while being afforded luxuries that you can't get from a tent experience. The container was comfortable, warm and they provided everything that we could want. Beatrice was extremely kind and even suggested a few activities around the area, which we found to be our perfect way to spend the days we had there. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking to escape the city, while still being able to easily get your morning cup of coffee ;)

Beatrice, and Tobias were very lovely hosts. The view to the Brindabellas, the large dam on the property, and the spacious camp kitchen were all great features of the camp. The ability to purchase their organic potatoes was a treat :)

We both loved our camping experience on Beatrice,Tobias, Laurence and Lina's farm. A beautiful setting and so peaceful . The family are so warm and friendly and happy to talk about their organic farm. Will be back and would recommend it highly to anyone thinking of staying there.
