Friendly, peaceful and affordable!
Met by the friendly host Sue, who escorted me down to the site. I had the pick of the place as I was the only one booked in for the 2 nights. Firewood already on site offered to me to use at no cost.
Sue told me they lock the cattle out of the camping paddock, but I said to let them graze away, so randomly the cows would come down for a visit. Lovely and peaceful.
The weather had recently been a bit warmer and then raining. Sites were firm packed, so no real affect on the ground.
Plenty of fish to be seen in the river, which is tidal, but access to the water due to vegetation growth isn’t as easy as some other Hipcamps I’ve stayed at.
Telstra phone service was sporadic, so if you need communication/service, then Starlink or an alternative might be best for you.
Nonetheless, it’s peaceful, and definitely a bargain if you want a place to stay off-grid for a few days.
