Here, you will immerse yourself in the Australian bush and enjoy a truly peaceful retreat. Enjoy fantastic bushwalks amongst the native flora and fauna, or take your mountain bike to the high open hilly area to check out the expansive views. Or lay in some of the creek's rock pools and sunbathe.
Whilst we can accept dogs, this absolutely must be discussed with us prior to booking. We are a working farm, with sheep, and it is important that any visiting pets do not hassle our sheep, and are kept on a lead at all times.

1. CAPACITY - We are able to host only a single campsite comprising a single tent or caravan for no more than two nights duration only. This will ensure compliance with NSW State Govt regulations that are policed heavily by Eurobodalla Shire Council. Please do not plan to erect a second tent – this may result in a fine that we will pass on to you. We apologise if this prohibits your larger family and small group from enjoying our property (which we strongly believe should be permitted.
2. SITE AMENITIES - The camp is best suited to adventurous campers with swags, tents, rooftops, light camping trailers and small popup caravans. There is a flushing toilet, a hot shower, running (dam) water, and firepits but no electricity or refrigeration. We have fire pits available for guests use, please ensure there are no restrictions in place before lighting a campfire in the designated firepit. FREE FIREWOOD is available on site.
3. ROAD ACCESS - The last couple of km of dirt track are undulating and dusty, but perfectly fine for all vehicles in dry conditions. Access and exit will become challenging for larger motorhomes and caravans, heavy camping trailers and 2WD vehicles (especially front-wheel-drive), after periods of heavy or prolonged rain. We will refund your booking fee if you choose to cancel, or we close the property, due to the weather (it will need to be bad for us to close the property, so you won’t want to be there anyway). Please message us in advance for advice if you are concerned about the weather or vehicle access.
4. PETS - Well behaved pets are welcome but must be controlled and cleaned up after.

It is a 10 min drive from Nelligen town centre and a 20 min drive from Batemans Bay. If you need supplies you can also travel by boat into Batemans Bay and tie up to many of its wharfs for that different experience.
The camping area is surrounded by walking tracks and over the Christmas period the renowned Clyde Berry Farm is open where you can pick your own fresh berries or relax on the grounds for a ice-cream.
You will find Shallow Crossing is also just a 10 min drive up the River Road for an exhilarating swim in fresh mountain water.
The traditional water side camp kitchen offers a BBQ and table to eat. Has power and lighting, fresh drinking water, toilet, hot and cold shower and plenty of cover. With a fire pit just outside for toasting of marshmallows this makes for the best camping spot in the region.
Please be mindful this is a camping and caravaning experience, there is for your convenience a flushing toilet (bring own toilet paper).
This site has its own concrete boat ramp making a heaven for all fisho's and skiers. The ramp is totally safe to launch any watercraft. With water onsite you can even flush motors at the end of the day.

We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets.

Everything about Everlong Hipcamp is sensational. The drive in, nature such as wallabies, bird life and platypuses. If you’re keen to do some night spotting in the river with a torch you’ll sight eels and small bodied native fish. The well grassed campsites are outstanding with plenty of room, fantastic views of surrounding mountains and camped up right on the river. Activities galore like exploring the river in the suppled canoes, swimming and catch & release fishing. And would you believe, fire pits and wood is supplied. If you’re into the outdoors and getting out and doing it or just relaxing, this place is for you. The host Anthony is a top notch down to earth great Aussie bloke. Highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Just had a great weekend camping and relaxing at Mark’s place. Soft, grassy, flat, cleared campsite overlooking the river with tall gum trees. Solar shower and flushing toilet a total luxury as well as the huge campgrounds only being able to be booked for one tent - privacy! A few lazy boats going by, a great little swimming/kayaking beach and some short walks made for a very nice bit of time out. The road in and out was perfectly fine, might be a bit slippery on the hills when very wet and I wouldn’t bring a caravan. I’ve been to Clyde RIver Camp 3 times now and each time I fall more and more in love with it! It’s a great location, the grounds are well looked after, the toilet snd showers are in great condition and Ross and Lisa are very welcoming! The boat ramp is very accessible and we had no issue launching our boat from there.
Our dogs love the location as well!
Already planning the next trip back!

Clyde River Campground is in such beautiful location. We stayed for a night in our campervan on a powered site. Right on the river it was a really relaxing stay. The grounds are well maintained, the facilities are basic but all that you need. Very peaceful and tranquil location. Great if you have a boat as you can access the river from the boat ramp on the property. We also had our dogs with us which was no stress. The other campers also had dogs and all got along very nicely.

We loved our stay at Everlong, and will definitely look to come back! Anthony was really welcoming and Moodong bend is fantastic! Areas for adventures, paddling and fish spotting! In all weathers this place was exceptional!

What a wonderful, restorative escape! Such a top spot by the river. Amazing swimming hole for hot days. Saw platypuses, a wombat and water dragons. Simple, rustic, perfect shack. So well positioned; had everything we needed. Good walking nearby. Looking forward to going back already. Phil was a great host.

Wow!! What an incredible campground, worth every penny. So much privacy, nice and flat, the flushing toilet was a hit and also the entertainment area is gorgeous too. Kayaking on the river was alot of fun and sitting under the shelter in the river was so relaxing on a hot day. Tryg is an awesome host, thank you for sharing your beautiful property for us.

When to go
The best time to visit Majors Creek State Conservation Area is during the milder months, avoiding the extremes of summer and winter. Spring and autumn offer comfortable temperatures for hiking and wildlife spotting. Be mindful of local alerts for fires or park closures, especially during dry or bushfire-prone seasons.
Know before you go

- Remember, the Narooma office is open by appointment from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and closed on public holidays.
