Weekend Trip to Clyde River Camp Grounds

What an amazing property for campers! Peaceful, well maintained property, with welcomed powered sites by the river with really close access to the river via boat ramp. Ross and Lisa are exceptionally welcoming hosts and ultimately main contributors to the wonderful experience. The only regret we had was our stay of 3 nights was too short! Will definitely be taking the time to get back to Ross and Lisa’s great camping grounds.

What a beautiful spot! I will say that I found the drive in quite stressful with my little 2WD sedan and I did get lost finding the place, but once I was there all my worries went away. Beautiful spot right next to the river. Saw a Kangaroo and a Wombat and loved just relaxing by the river with a beautiful mountain in the background. There were a few other people booked into other campsites but I barely saw them. Was beautifully secluded.

Fab spot! Beautiful property with lots of trees and space, and some cows and horses roaming around too! We camped at the Cackle. Lots of different spots to pitch a tent, other camps within eyesight but still felt secluded, accessible with our 2WD, and easy to find following Christine's helpful instructions. And as in the name, lots of Kookaburras around and fun listening to them laugh! Great value!

We loved camping at the Bushman’s Clock at Kookaburra. The creek is gorgeous, and farm animals are friendly (not much of a wildlife though - see it as a pro or con hehe). The toilet was clean. It was easy to find. Everything went very well. Loved the fire pit and the fact that you can buy firewood on the farm!

Beautiful site! Right on the river and so peaceful. We had some good chats with Ross. Very sad we were only there for a night and will definitely come back for a longer trip. Facilities were great. The road in is a little bumpy but we got in fine with our AWD and trailer. Highly recommend stay here.

We loved Elsie’s place, thankful for it being a dog friendly space and easily accessible. Very clean, peaceful and shaded. We even had a little wombat friend hanging around the camp which was very special. Thanks for having us Elsie! Will definitely love to come again.

Stayed here yesterday and had an awesome time. The place is peaceful, super private, and perfect for a quiet break with friends. We loved the creek area and the open space around the campsite. The host was really easy to deal with and very responsive. Our dog also enjoyed running around. Would happily come back again!

There is two camping options, the front paddock has 2 sites which are suitable for caravans and bigger setups and the stables camp has only one site which is great for campers. Your campsite will be private from public however there will be people around the farm tending to their horses both morning and afternoon. We are dog friendly and so are our dogs but we ask that your dogs remain on lead and at your camp at all times for the safety of our horses and your dogs. We offer several secluded flat and shaded sites for tents, camp trailers and campervans. Each site is for your exclusive use so you'll have plenty of privacy and time to unwind. The Yackungarrah Creek winds through the property, flowing into a deep waterhole. The farm is home to horses, chickens, dogs, cows, and a cat. We also have an abundance of wildlife including wombats, possums, many native birds, and occasionally kangaroo, wallabies and deer. We use a 2kv With private access to one of the largest waterholes on the freshwater Clyde, you are welcome to bring your own kayaks, fishing gear (license required) and flotation devices. Children are welcome, although must be supervised at all times due to the proximity of the river and steep bush land. Sorry, pets are not permitted with future bookings This is not a party venue. The shed must be vacated by 10pm Please note access roads are not all sealed, including 18km gravel via Milton and 13km gravel via Termeil. Currently suitable for all vehicle types.

Only 10 minutes from amazing beach fishing at Durras and beautiful Long Beach known for its kayaking and paddle boarding. There is so much to see and do. Climb Pigeon House Mountain or cruise on the Merinda up the Nelligen River over a seafood lunch...you will not be disappointed. Upon arrival, you will be able to choose a spot on the property that you wish to set up. All campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet and take all waste when they go. Strictly no 'digging a hole.' When booking please note that one site is big enough for your van or tent, the extras button is for extra guest/children in your tent or van. If you have guests with another tent or van and vehicle they need to book their own site The pubs and clubs are a near convenience, or you can just kick back by your own pit fire and enjoy the stars in the safety of The Hundred Acre Woods.
