Charming Rural Retreat with Abundant Wildlife and Farmyard Bliss Welcome to our dream countryside escape, where nature, serenity, and the joy of farm life come together seamlessly. Located just an hour from Canberra, our High-Country camping site borders the Tallaganda National Park and State Forest on two sides, providing a sense of remoteness on 300 acres of rural land. This hobby farm is home to llamas, alpacas, horses and a variety of wildlife, including kangaroos and wombats that visit from the National Park in the evenings. Site 2 Dam campsite is a flat grassy space on the edge of our spring-fed dam. Plenty of grassy space for a tent or camper trailer. There are no amenities, you will need to be self-sufficient. The water is potable, clean and fresh. Wake up to the sun rising over the mountains, the birds singing and frogs croaking around this beautiful water front site.

Site 1 River flat campsite is a flat grassy space on the edge of the Molonglo River and is one of our most popular campsites. Plenty of grassy space for a tent or camper trailer. There are no amenities, you will need to be self-sufficient. The water is potable clean and fresh. The Molonglo River begins where we are, so it is the size of a small creek, that runs all year round.

Site 3 Is a large mostly flat paddock with a lot of space for large groups. Set high on a hill there are lovely views over the rest of the property. Surrounded by tall pine trees, breathe in the fresh air, relax and unwind or go for a walk through the national park explore the properties mountains or take an animal tour.

The views were absolutely stunning, showcasing vibrant landscapes under a clear blue sky, and the direction was easy to follow. It was truly a perfect spot for relaxation and enjoying nature.

Site 2 - Spring Fed Dam Campsite
This is a pleasant camping spot with lovely outlook across farming land and wooden hills with a National Park next door. We camped at the spring fed dam site and the children in our group had great fun paddling on the dam. It was safe for them to go out by themselves. They also loved feeding the Alpacas and Llama. We highly recommend this site for self-sufficient campers who want a relaxing camping spot. The riverside camping spot also looked nice and would suit the summer weather. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

Site 1 - River Flat Campsite
Julie and her family are so welcoming. They have a few site options but we loved the River Flat site at the back of the property with our 18ft offroad caravan. It was private with a lovely stream and ample bush walking options. We stayed for a few rainy nights and had the place to ourselves. The kids LOVED meeting the alpacas, llamas and chickens. It was also a wonderful option for our two new family members (little dogs) to try out the caravaning life 😊

Site 1 - River Flat Campsite
My group and I loved the camp site that Julie and her family had provided. It was a pretty great spot by the creek with fresh water running through. Julie had multiple guests spread along the property but was extremely helpful on arrival. She had organised a feeding session with the Alpacas & Llamas on her farm. We will definitely stay here again!

I couldn't recommend enough! The property is beautiful, open and serene. With animals on the farm so friendly you can pet and tracks you can walk around and explore on the mountain, the open sky at night with the stars and the incredible sunsets - it's a dream. Julie and the family are the most wonderful and kind folks. So lovely to speak with and so open and welcoming to the property and beyond accommodating and easy going. If you need somewhere for the night or a few days, this is it!

Our family loved camping here. It was so beautiful and peaceful and there was plenty of space for us and our dogs. Julie and her family were lovely and made us feel really welcome. Homemade bread was delicious! We would love to stay again.

Great place to stay, had the Dam location all to ourself. Host's were fantastic and very inviting with a very generous welcome package. We will definitely be back, thankyou for sharing you beautiful place with us. PS the Dam was a big hit with the kids, and the farm animals were just great. 🏕🏕⛺️⛺️

Although not straight forward to get to, it is a beautiful spot and Julie was very welcoming - including a complimentary bottle of their spring water. Pretty place and lots of space.

Sensational campsite with plenty of room. Great drive in to site, had no issues getting there with my 23” caravan. Hosts were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Couldn’t recommend this HipCamp enough.
