Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. We always have a presence on the property and have good Telstra coverage, so although you feel a million miles from nowhere you also feel secure.Setting up on camp 1 overlooking the river with a tent, swag, roof top, RV or Ram with a 20fter is a breeze. Fantastic camp site, beautiful native gardens create a sense of peace and privacy, with the river skirts the other side of campsite creating a little piece of paradise. Excellent facilities, and a great host.

We had the best time camping at Orange Grove! Tryg was so welcoming and greeted us upon arrival. Absolutely beautiful property. Loved the river access and being able to have a fish from the pontoon. Plenty of space to spread out when setting up camp - nice and flat also. The facilities were super clean and well maintained. Highlight was the huge fire pit, spent a lot of time around the fire enjoying cooking up our meals and staying warm. I would definitely come back!

Wow!! What an incredible campground, worth every penny. So much privacy, nice and flat, the flushing toilet was a hit and also the entertainment area is gorgeous too. Kayaking on the river was alot of fun and sitting under the shelter in the river was so relaxing on a hot day. Tryg is an awesome host, thank you for sharing your beautiful property for us.

The photos don’t do the place justice. Tryg has done a lot of work in the space since the photos were taken. We were a large group of families and the kids and adults had an amazing time fishing, kayaking, watching sunrise, and swimming. The toilets (x3 plumbed in) and cooking worked well for the group. The place was really quiet. The only objection I heard was lack of showers - but it certainly wasn’t from the kids! I can’t wait to go back. Thank you!

We had a fabulous time, the kids loved jumping off the dock and the rope swing into the water!! A great spot to launch the kayak from and saw people passing by on SUPs too! Highly recommend

We stayed at Tryg’s on the way down the coast to Mallacoota & we wish we could have stayed longer, we were only there for a night, absolutely brilliant spot by the river we had the whole place to ourselves. Would be great for a family gathering or bunch of friends - highly recommend 👍

I am in two minds about leaving a review, as we want to keep this special location to ourselves, however; if you are down this way take some time to make your own opinion. We had two days at Orange Grove and didn't want to leave. The location is a perfect place to switch off and remove yourself from the world. We arrived as a group of two couples travelling with dogs in a large motorhome and caravan combo. Tryg and my mate said I am compensating for the size of the motorhome, but hey why not travel in comfort. Site access was ok for us after a little gardening on Tryg's approval so large vehicles can access without restriction. Everything is there; space abounds, impressive fire pit, water views, fish, toilet facility and well sheltered and ir is all yours. Local knowledge abounds, both from locals when walking the streets of Nelligen and from your host Tryg. Even more so when you loosen his tongue with a cold beverage. It is awesome to get a locals perspective and the vibe of what really makes a community and honest mateship of the Aussie spirit. Do yourself a favour and visit this part of the world as it is impressive. David

Tryg was such a friendly and accommodating host. I was very grateful for his hospitality. The site was amazing and I will be booking again. I suggest using the courtesy bus and having one night at the local. Very enjoyable stay.

What a magical spot! Not only do you get a huge fenced off, mostly flat grassed area all to your party, you also have a massive shelter and decent amenities available to use. Tryg is an easy going bloke who is happy to look after his guests. We're going to be back for sure.

I recommend this place as a peaceful sanctuary to turn off for just a while. This camp is private, as you are the only campers. On a working farm, you can see the animals and watch the day slip away. With toilets, a huge camp fire, undercover options for bad weather and the beautiful Clyde river steps away this a great spot. Tryg and his family were there when we needed and not there to give us privacy.

Orange Grove Farm was more than expected. The size of the fire pit was amazing. The enclosure is huge and the farm animals are super cute. Fishing was successful and the whole weekend was peaceful.

The location is great and the host is a nice guy however he is turning the site into a wedding venue and erecting a very large marquee behind the camping area. He did call to ask if it was OK to work on the area while we were there which we agreed to but if you want total privacy this may not be the place for you.

Tryg was welcoming, and so were his dogs. We found the site easy to get to and exceeded our expectations. We brought our 2 dogs with us and they loved it as much as we did. It was so peaceful, and we are sure to recommend this site to our friends.

The host were really good. It was an amazing place to camp and perfect weekend getaway or school holiday. The site was by the river and a lot of things are provided for eg. Fire pits, toilet and lots of camping needs. Highly recommend

We loved camping at Tryg’s Orange Grove farm. Best location (close to batemans bay and mogo trails if you enjoy riding), so close to the Clyde river, views great and protected from the wind. The site we were on was fenced and was great for our dogs. Tryg was a great host and helpful with local information. We will be back!

What an absolutely incredible place. From the moment you cross the cattle grid at the top of the drive way, you are just absorbed into theist beautiful and serene world. Trig was super welcoming and friendly. His adorable rottweiller Frankie ran next to our van as we drove down to the camp site, and was super happy to play with our dog. We cannot recommend this place enough. Jist beautiful and peaceful and it feels like a world away from all the hassles of life. We can't wait to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Orange Grove. Tryg was a welcoming and well prepared, low key host, easy to coordinate with and generally a great bloke. The campsite is generous and has river front views amd access. Easy and quick to Batemans Bay. Easy to find. It was recommended to us and we would thoroughly recommend for a romantic getaway or family group.

We had a great time at Tryg’s with our two dogs. The camping spot felt very private, it’s right on the water and fully fenced. We couldn’t have asked for more. Tryg is friendly and a pleasure to have as a host. We hope to be back one day.
