We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd.
We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower in a central location a short walk from the campsites. We have a small campers amenities room with a basic kitchen (i.e. a sink, power, kettle, small fridge, microwave) and dining table and chairs, which is a place to do your dishes or shelter in rainy weather. There are also other outdoor pavilions in the central areas on the property.
Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track.
Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.
Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.
Kangarutha also has a country style cottage (with a tennis court!) available for holiday rental - maybe for the parents or friends who are not so into camping! We also have recently launched a new venue 'The Nursery' at Kangarutha Farm, so consider holding your next event at Kangarutha! Contact us for details.

Tathra is just 15 minutes drive away, with Merimbula around 25 minutes, Bermagui 45 minutes, and Eden 35 minutes. All of these towns have beautiful beaches, fishing, boating, whale-watching tours, and much more.
Pack a picnic and walk to the river just down the hill from your camp site. The Bega river is clean fresh water and is well worth a visit on a hot day to cool off. Your hosts can show you a secluded area of the river that you can access easily. The whole area has an array of beautiful spots to explore both on the property and along the riverside. Jackie is always willing to give fresh produce from her veggie garden during your stay just to make you feel welcome. There are horses you can pat and a few sheep that are very friendly and love to be given bread.
The historic Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Center is just a couple of minutes away. The main shopping center and mall in town is just a five-minute drive.

Close to two sweet coastal towns, Eden 7minutes and Pambula 15minutes drive.
Lots of bird and insect life along with our little herd of sheep and geese.
We are currently developing permaculture systems for our home and garden and part of the system is we have a composting toilet for campers!
We love animals and we are happy for you to bring your dog only if it is friendly with other dogs because we have 4 friendly dogs here. As long as you keep your dog on a lead as we have livestock. Please contact us prior to discuss dog situation.

Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf.
There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed.
To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is.
To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here.
To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley.
For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui.
For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast.

Riverview Kiah is offering one campsite nestled on a very quiet part of the Kiah/Towamba river. To minimize impact on neighbors and make your stay more enjoyable, there is only one campsite offered on the whole property, so apart from the owners you will have it all to yourselves.
You will need to be a self-contained camper who brings their own camping toilet/shower. We offer access to water via a 1000l pod that is close to the campsite. This water is drinkable and may be used to fill jerry cans/ wash etc. We just ask you to please be frugal with usage.
The campsite is situated on a grassy knoll a mere 30m away from your own private beach, which is ideal for fishing kayaking and swimming.
The Kiah / Towamba river is well renowned for its excellent fishing. Live bait or soft plastics are best. Live bait can be sourced at nearby Nullica beach or alternatively, frozen prawn's, pipis or salted pilchards also yield success. Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder.
If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway.
There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. If you have your own firepit that can also be used but there are to be no fires on beach or bare earth. Firewood can be provided at an extra cost, (please select in extras, 1 bundle will last 2 nights on average).
Directions will be provided 48 hours before arrival; you are welcome to head straight to camp although if around I will meet and greet you upon arrival.

The sites are nicely spaced out across the paddock so everybody has space. Being on top of a hill, sites can be exposed if there is a lot of wind.

Very relaxing space with amazing views and lovely hosts. Was an ideal spot after spending time at other busy campgrounds. If the toilets were upgraded from porter loos to built structures, this would be perfect.

We stayed 2 nights here and loved it, they have a veggie patch they allow you to pick from, swimming in the river is a short walk from the powered sites.
We stayed on site 6 as it was the most reviewed, unfortunately I found We were in the wind corridor, sites further down may provide better protection.

Shady rest is good for a shaded spot just mindful of branches windy. Property is tidy and easy to find. Toilets and rubbish cleaned and looked after on a regular basis. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

Loved the campsite... beautiful views down the valley and to the mountains. Heaps of native wildlife such as the resident goanna and heaps of kangaroos 🦘 Water available close by. Best of all, had the site to ourselves! Thanks Julie and David for being amazing hosts!

Exciting to visit at the start of Chris and Lauren’s journey on the land. Site right by the creek with a resident kingfisher, lots of other birds and, occasionally, cows! Toilet is cute composting with a view. Great fireplace with cooking grill. Day trips to amazing beaches and snorkelling spots.

Great private spot close to the beach , we had a fabulous week exploring all the local beaches. Lou was really fast responding to messages, and while we couldn't have fires a few nights due to the wind it was great having that option on a few cooler and not windy days.

I stayed here with my 9 year old son for a night and we both loved it! It’s such a beautiful landscape - the water is the perfect depth for young kids to swim, explore nature and unplug from the world, and everywhere you look you’re surrounded by nature, great sunsets and sunrises, and very sweet cows, deer and wombats. The owners are so warm and kind; this space made for such a peaceful and nourishing end to our holiday - thank you!

There was so much space to set up and be private despite it being quite busy. The whole site is set up so well with the dump point, bins, the epic veggie garden etc. It was a great place to stay and Jodie kept us updated daily with fire risks etc which was super handy. While the river was gorgeous it’s quite rocky around the edges so not so child friendly but there is so much space and so close to the beaches it’s really not an issue.

Stunning campground with spacious sites and natural setting.
Drop toilets were clean and maintained well. Hot showers were heavenly, read instructions on the wall before entering cubicle.
Lots of short, medium and long walking trails. Ocean Beach access and also Wallagoot Lake for swimming, fishing, SUPing, kayaking etc
Access road is manageable for 2WD and all roads within the background are well maintained.
