Roagumba, or Roa for short, is our 920 acre patch of paradise in the stunning Yowrie Valley on the NSW Far South Coast. Roa is a family owned working cattle farm, made up of approximately 60% cleared land and the rest native bushland.
The Yowrie Valley is surrounded by the beautiful Wadbilliga National Park, giving it a sense of remote seculsion whilst being only a 15 minute drive from the township of Cobargo. The valley is a 35 minute drive to the stunning beaches near Bermagui, whilst the historic and quirky town of Tilba is 40 minutes away.
The crystal clear Yowrie River flows along the western side of the property with numerous secluded swimming holes.
The property is a working cattle farm so you're likely to meet some very friendly cows during your stay, as well as a lot of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and birds.
We operate three Hipcamp sites and two different locations on the property. Mountain Camp is a single site and offers complete seclusion and privacy, while River Camp is a double site and offers views across the valley whilst only being metres from the river. Both locations have composting toilets and Mountain Camp has an additional undercover camp kitchen.
We cater for small groups and families who are seeking a quiet, peaceful escape. Our sites are small and are capped at 6 people each, per night. To reduce vehicle traffic, protect our farms biosecurity and out of respect to our neighbours, there is a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed per site.

Beautiful Coastal farmland near to Mimosa Rocks National Parks. Easy to access. Close to stunning townships of Bermagui just 15mins north and Tathra 30mins south. Observe an abundance of wildlife - spot an eagle, kangaroo, wallaby, possum, goanna, wombat or whale! Surf or swim any of the amazing beaches or lagoons -Bunga, Hidden Valley, Arraganuu, Bithry, Cuttagee, Camel Rock, Horseshoe Bay or Blue Pool. Walk the dog at Beares beach in Bermagui or Cuttagee beach, 10mins drive north. This is an incredible coastline to explore. Enjoy local fresh produce from Bermagui farmers market in summer on Thursday afternoons; Saturday market at Honorbread courtyard; fresh seafood either catch yourself or purchase from Bermagui Fishermans Wharf.
There is a little shed on this patch of land and campers have access to an undercover area off the side of the shed plus half of the inside area of the shed not being used for storage. There is a rainwater tank at the back of the shed. A nice, new compost toilet faces into the bush, we no longer use the one at the back of the shed.
To locate when heading south on Tathra -Bermagui Rd , Turn left into Hergenhans Rd which is approx 14km south of Bermagui, then left into Wrens Rd (Goalen N Rd on google maps) , follow Wrens Rd about 800m and you'll see a gateway on your right with Hipcamp sign (Bunga Summit). It is opposite gateway on left with Lot 3 sign. The next gate is padlocked where the shed is.
To access Bunga Beach, continue along Wrens Rd through neighbouring properties. The road has recently been resurfaced so is now accessible with 2WD. This is National Park so you can't have dogs here.
To access Back Bunga Beach continue along Hergenhans Rd and left onto O'sheas Rd which is also a good accessible road. taking you through neighbouring properties and ending at Mimosa Rocks National Park. This is an amazing walk from the carpark south along the beach to Hidden Valley.
For dog walking beaches head to Cuttagee just 10mins north towards Bermagui, or Beares Beach in Bermagui.
For injured wildlife or any wombats with mange around the campsite please phone my neighbour Sara as she volunteers for Wildlife Rescue South Coast.

The night sky is breathtaking, with no light pollution, and the quiet (other than the wildlife) is serene.

The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds.
The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views.
in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self.
There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at
Potato Point.
There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days.
Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful.
Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around.
The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat.
You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise.
Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was
founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s.
30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of
Narooma and Moruya.
No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

Your hosts can show you a secluded area of the river that you can access easily. The whole area has an array of beautiful spots to explore both on the property and along the riverside. Jackie is always willing to give fresh produce from her veggie garden during your stay just to make you feel welcome. There are horses you can pat and a few sheep that are very friendly and love to be given bread.
The historic Bega Cheese Factory and Heritage Center is just a couple of minutes away. The main shopping center and mall in town is just a five-minute drive.

Misty Mountain Wildlife Refuge is a 330 acre farm which provides sanctuary to kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas and many bird species including their habitats. There are Alpacas and Sheep, Kangaroos, Wombats, Kookaburras, Echidnas and many other animals that enjoy this property.
The land has 80 acres of cleared grassland this side of the river, and for the adventurous and energetic you can rome the other 250 acres by crossing to the other side of the rive, there are large stands of rainforest and bushland, with 2.5 km of Brown Mountain Creek and its tributary meandering through it. There are some swimming holes and mini rapids; the crystal clear water flowing over the river rocks can be heard from most parts of the farm.
The land comprises Little Brown Mountain and has 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and farmland with wonderful cloud formations and mists contributing their mystery and beauty to the dramatic landscape.
There is an orchard with trees producing several varieties of apple, stone fruit and citrus in abundance.
A cottage garden produces various vegetables and herbs such as spinach, celery, potatoes, garlic, chives, lettuce, rocket, parsley, turmeric, peas, beans, tomato etc.
Past bushfire damage to some trees in the cleared paddocks is evident however, many are recovering well and most provide photographers with interesting and dramatic subject matter.
Due to the catastrophic events of the NSW bush fires in this area all camp fires must be kept responsibly safe and no unsafe camp fires will be tolerated.
All Guests are required to have an acceptable camp toilet, no holes in the ground.
All river access points are shared, be mindful of others.
As dogs are welcome and even well behaved dogs will be dogs when it comes to their family,
all guests are advised to make themselves known prior to going near another's camp site, then there is no surprises either way.
May common sense prevail.

The place is deliciously secluded, with a bubbling creek and so many magnificent birds - kingfishers, superb wrens, kookaburras, whip birds and many others that we don’t know. The kids had a blast, playing cricket, swimming and chasing the chickens. The camp has the option to be totally private or you can wander up to the main area and use the camp kitchens while the kids play on the swings. Sol and Shanti were every bit the perfect hosts - friendly, warm and respectful. We loved visiting Tilba and Bermagui and enjoying the atmosphere of their bohemian property. We will miss it!

Lovely maintained grassy areas to camp, plenty of space with fire pits and wood. Billy and his beautiful dog Ben were very hospitable. Very close to Handkerchief Beach and short drive to town. Will definitely come back.

This is a special part of the world - lots of tall trees, beside a sweet lake, peace and quiet, not far from Potato Point for a beach swim and Bodalla for a coffee at the cafe or a beer at the pub. Sally is a friendly accommodating host. A recommended site. We’ll be back.

Great location, convenient for Tathra and Bega. Fantastic view across the valley, and access to the river for swimming. Our host Ben loves and takes great care of all of his animals. The sites are nicely spaced out across the paddock so everybody has space. Being on top of a hill, sites can be exposed if there is a lot of wind.

We really enjoyed our tent camping beside Borang Lake. Our site was right beside the water so very easy access to get our kayaks in and lots of waterways to explore. We did a little fishing from the shore and caught a couple of fish. Very private and peaceful and the view from our site allowed us to enjoy some great sunsets! Additionally, Sally was very helpful and easily contactable.

Very easy access and well signed to get to your spot. The amount of space on the paddocks is crazy and nice and flat. We got lucky and were the only ones there, very quite and have fire pits at spots, we were unlucky to use them due TFB.
Perfect location to do your day trips from and take your small tinny or kayak.

Shady rest is good for a shaded spot just mindful of branches windy. Property is tidy and easy to find. Toilets and rubbish cleaned and looked after on a regular basis. Hosts were friendly and helpful.
