Site 2 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
We loved our time camping at Lisa and Tom property. Excellent private camp sites, great amenities the hidden lake is just stunning! Thank you for having our family enjoy your property, little Nelly and dog really enjoyed it!

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Great location very calming and a great property to explore on foot or on your mountain bike. Tom and Lisa very good hosts and amenities were more than we expected. All round a great stay that we totally recommend.

Corner Camp (Site 4)
What a wonderful spot. 2 days was not enough time to explore this area. It was so peaceful and had soo many interactive areas to explore. Good luck with future mountain biking opportunities it was action packed.

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Would recommend
Warm welcome with a beautiful location. It was quiet and easy to find off the main road with only a short drive into tathra.
Loads of firewood to be found to keep warm. The hosts great knowledge of the property meant the site was in full sun all day as suggested, great for cooler times of year.
Basic amenities in very close proximity (washing up facilities, shower and toilet), yet out of the way so was not intrusive of the secluded atmosphere.

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Round yard paddock stay
Tom and his mother Christine were lovely hosts. I had the place to myself basically and it was a wonderful, peaceful get away. There were hundreds of kangaroos each end of the day, plenty of trails to keep life interesting, secure paddock for Rosco (my horse) making it easy to visit friends in near by Merimbula and go into town for anything I needed. We enjoyed our stay very much!! Would definitely do it again!!

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Peaceful camping
Exclusive use of the paddock, grass was low, paddock kept tidy for campers. Plenty of space to spread out. Nice and peaceful stay with the lovely tunes of birds. Firewood requested was ready for us, spot if camp cooking. Great to be away from the crowds with amenities just a walking distance away.
Beach, bike, kayak and food few minutes away.

Creek Camp (Site 3)
A lovely, peaceful spot to camp. Our dog loved being able to run around, much more freedom than a caravan park. Toilets and shower were very clean.
It was bucketing when we arrived so Tom thoughtfully moved us to a drier site. Highly recommend.

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Quick get away
Round yard had plenty of room to spread out. Toilets and shower, drinking water was a short walk away. Was lovely to have the paddock to yourself and privacy. Left us some firewood which was a lovely touch to have a fire. Grass well maintained thanks to keep snakes away. Just a few cars in the distance driving through at night but no issue.
So close to Tathra, Kalaru yet peaceful on the property. Thanks for sharing. Will definitely bring the bikes and kayaks back for next time. Definitely be back. 🙂

Site 2 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
We loved our stay at Lisa and Tom's! The property was stunning and we were surrounded by nature and Wildlife being able to sink in to it while still being able to have a hot shower and wash some dishes. The privacy was beautiful and we were so close to so many great stops. Beaches, national parks, the town for supplies.
Wonderful hosts and great communication.
We would absolutely recommend staying here in any of the available sites and we will be back.

Corner Camp (Site 4)
Your own paddock or forest.
Perfect. Ideal. You want crowds? Then go to the caravan park. This place is so close to town and yet you can feel like you're away from everyone. Great for kids as they can safely roam about. Love it. Great shower and toilet too. Lovely hosts.

Loved staying here. Beautiful peaceful property, great facilities (shower, clean toilets and a dish washing room) and lovely hosts. The kangaroos surrounding the property were amazing. Will definitely be back.

Site 1 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
We had an amazing time at Lisa and Tom's farm staying on Site 1 Bush Camp. The facilities including flushing toilet and hot shower were welcoming and the camp site was great. We were not on top of other campers and had plenty of privacy.
Lisa and Tom were very welcoming and we would definitely return in the future.

Tathra's best camping
Kangarutha Farm has again delivered on the relaxed bush camping experience we love. The Back Dam camp is the perfect place to access all the coastal joys Tathra has to offer while giving you the peace and quiet of a remote camp.
Tom and Lisa have been busy improving the experience at Kangarutha and leave you to enjoy their fabulous property.
This is our 3rd time at Kangarutha and definitely not the last.

Site 2 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
Private and peaceful camping
Lovely, quiet site in lush green surrounds, and our campsite was a reasonable distance from the one other bush campsite, so it felt very secluded and peaceful. Especially loved the walk to the hidden lake on the property, and the song of the local kookaburras. Oh and how luxurious is having access to a shower when you're camping?

Sunset Camp (Site 1)
This is a really beautiful property, we went to sleep listening to the cicadas calling to each other from all around us like stereo. Very kind and easy to deal with owners, we wanted to come late and they called and talked us through how to get to our site.

Site 2 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
Great stay and lovely hosts
This was our first time using hipcamp and we were very impressed. We stayed post new year and our camp was isolated and private. The hosts are super lovely and the facilities were better than expected. It was great to have a shower (although it's pretty old, but great they have one!) and little kitchen area to wash up things and charge phones. The property is gorgeous, loved having a campfire too. Thanks for having us!

Quiet, beautiful, scenic
Absolutely beautiful! Very quiet and secluded feeling. I struggle to sleep when I can hear music or partying neighbours: I slept like a baby here, and we came during peak season. There are some good facilities and it's really close to Tathra, Tura and Merimbula. We'd really like to stay again.

Site 1 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
Camping off grid
Lisa & Tom are great, friendly hosts and we are very grateful for places like these. Our “normal” camping MO is to stay at a caravan parks full of like-minded campers. Not anymore! We will always opt for the farm stay as it’s quiet, peaceful with no noisy neighbors. You can enjoy a camp fire every night and the stars were amazing! Kangarutha Farm stay is a beautiful property with dams and a secret lake! It has potable water, a shower and 3 flushing toilets all sparkling clean!! A stone’s throw from Tarthra and right on the bike track. Great spot!

This was our first stay through hipcamp and Lisa and Tom's place has set the bar high! We loved the location, the property is gorgeous, and the bonus of a hot shower was great. We'll definitely be back again!

Site 2 - Kangarutha Bush Camp
Peaceful, well-kept, delightful!
We loved our beautiful secluded site, it was kept in such great condition and we felt very private. Great facilities were a short walk away which suited us just fine, and we loved walking around the property discovering all the little areas of intrigue like the dams, the forest and the sculpture garden! Plenty of wildlife (particularly birds and kangaroo) around too which is always a joy to be among. We didn't meet the hosts but directions were super clear and we felt well taken care of. We did some day drives and there's lots to see around, and gorgeous beaches. Definitely coming back next time we come down this way! Thank you Lisa and Tom!

Corner Camp (Site 4)
Nice place close to Tathra
We loved camping at Kangarutha Farm, in the corner camp. Beautiful, quiet spot with good afternoon shade.
Amenities provided were great and better than expected - shower, toilets and baby change table, as well as a good washing up area and electricity for charging phones.
A handful of other groups on the property but well-separated, no issues with noise or privacy. Lisa and Tom were lovely hosts. We would happily return.

We loved our stay at Kangarutha farm host's were great and it was a great set up with heaps of space between sites handy facilities in a wonderfully peaceful farm/bush environment.
Excellent location to explore such a beautiful part of the coast very kid and dog friendly too
