Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington).
The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. As well as camping, it is also available to rent for a variety of purposes; as the ultimate fishing retreat, for wedding, birthday and other significant life events, as a yoga, meditation and lifestyle retreat, or simply the ultimate holiday destination. This is such a special place that you really need to come and experience it for yourself to believe it. We await your visit.

A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February.
Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north.
Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south.
Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay.
15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders.
NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. Travel 25 minutes north and you’ll arrive in the scenic coastal town of Bicheno. With its central location, Nick’s Nook is the ideal base for discovering the Freycinet Peninsula and beyond.

Stooge Farm is a safe and secluded place away from the hustle and bustle of the mad modern world. As well as camping, it is also available to rent for a variety of purposes; as the ultimate fishing retreat, for wedding, birthday and other significant life events, as a yoga, meditation and lifestyle retreat, or simply the ultimate holiday destination. This is such a special place that you really need to come and experience it for yourself to believe it. We await your visit.
*Some important notes before you book:
- Campers must have their own toilet and must remove all waste and rubbish. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all time.
- River water is available but drink at own risk.
- We recommend a strong vehicle, and a 4WD when towing caravans as the road in is steep.

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips
Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking.
As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs.
There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van.
We only make provision for two campsites so you'll never be crowded.

The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space.
There is a wood fired hot tub beside the creek, which all campers have access to. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, or enjoying a morning soak whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, you may buy wood on site for your individual campfires. The hot Tub is not for wild parties, but to relax and view the native wild life, quietly watch the platypus in their natural environment.
Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp close together although we dont allow big noisy, disruptive groups anymore! The property has good access for all types of vehicles.

Superb, tranquil spot with a hammock right next to a bubbling creak with towering man ferns, a little swimming hole upstream for hot days and a fire pit for the cooler nights. Well worth venturing off the highway to find this surprising property. The campsites are very generous in size and thoughtfully spaced so it was remarkably peaceful. The glossiest nature loo I’ve ever encountered! We booked for one night, stayed for two… and will definitely be back.

Nigel is a welcoming and friendly host. This is our second time on his land now, and we love it so much we had to come back. He showed us the best spot to keep us out of the wind and we all slept wonderfully. His property is in a prime position, close to the general store, bread fridge and the best beach, as well as only a short drive back to the neck, honey, oysters etc.

We stayed at Camp 4 in our caravan surrounded by the gently flowing river. Spotted trout but didn’t catch any! A lovely spacious camp area, peaceful and beautiful. Fire pits provided (if no fire ban). Will definitely be back. Met our hosts Amanda & Aaron who are great people and passionate caretakers of their special land.

We came for one night but liked it so much we stayed two nights. Set on grassed flat ground by the river we thoroughly enjoyed just sitting looking for the illusive platypus. Just over 10 minutes into Wynyard with all its conveniences but far enough away to be in a rural landscape. Good too, that they don’t cram their campers in, leaving enough space between to ensure privacy.

Magic of a camp site for our campervan, the most beautiful site we’ve ever stayed. Tree ferns, river, valley on our site and private. A waterfall swim very short walk from our campsite. Will be back thanks ☺️

Beautiful place with plenty of space. Great location less than 10 minutes from Wynyard. Very central location to explore the North West of Tasmania. We dont have kids but there is an incredible swimming hole for them to let their hair down.

2nd time staying at Inglis River Retreat. This time at Site 1. This site is not in the river but is very private and a good walk. Very busy weekend with Australia Day long weekend but it made for a great experience. Hosts as always were so accommodating and offering alternate camping options where possible. Kids a great time playing cricket with other families and spent hours on the rope wing. Will be back again 👍👌

Camping at Lady Chapel Campground was a fabulous choice when visiting the beautiful Bruny Island. We visited on Australia Day long weekend and it was quiet and private with lots of space to enjoy. The camp host Nigel is friendly and took the time to give our family some local knowledge and tips for exploring. Would definitely recommend and stay again if to visit the island again. Thank you!

Fantastic 2 night stay here on camp site 2, up nice and high looking over the valley. Creek and water holes looked great for a dip. To cold for my old ass. But I’m sure the kiddies loved it. Hosts were fantastic.

We loved camping at Nick's Nook with our kids. The sites are large, clean and clear, with ground cover so there wasn't dirt going through the camper. Taj, the host, was very welcoming. We will definitely be going back to stay again with family and friends.
