Russell Falls Cottages at the entrance to Mt Field National Park offer self-contained, self-catering accommodation suitable for couples and families. Four spacious cottages – each set a comfortable distance apart on a beautiful piece of paradise . Also offering Unique warm Camping Pods with single, Queen and King beds. Camping sites also available. The property is surrounded by the Tyenna River and has an abundant of wildlife such as pademelons, possums, platypus, , Quolls, bandicoots, Eagles and other wildlife are frequently seen especially our resident echidna who wonders happily around the property. A footbridge across the river leads directly to Mount Field National Park, with the National Park Visitor’s Centre and the famous Russell Falls Waterfalls just meters away. The path passes through temperate tree fern rainforest, populated by glow worms. A minimum three nights stay is recommended as this area has so much to offer- Mt Fields walks and water falls- Junee caves- styx valley and land of the Giants- Strathgordon dam-creepy crawly walk-Lake Dobson- Rail track ride- Maydena adventure hub- Tassie bound adventures and you will need time to relax and enjoy Russell Falls cottages and the peaceful river, rain forest and birdlife.

Observe pademelons and possums at twilight, cross the river via the footbridge to wander through the verdant temperate rainforest leading to the renowned Russell Falls, or embark on a nocturnal journey to witness the glow worms. Explore the stunning alpine landscapes of the Mount Field Plateau, traverse a boardwalk among some of the planet's tallest trees at the Styx Big Tree Reserve, visit the imposing Strathgordon Dam, or engage in fly-fishing along one of the world's top trout streams. Unwind beside the river on the lookout for platypus. Sea Eagles are often spotted soaring overhead. Guests will have access to bathroom block with x4 large bathrooms and a laundry room. There are no hookups at this site, so being self-sufficient is a prerequisite. Eco Camping Pod 3 - Possum

The Possum Camping Pod 3 is a unique camping experience. It is a 4 by 4 meter fully insulated wooden pod with a 1 meter under cover deck. Inside bed configuration is a Queen bed as well as a bunk bed. Queen Bed is fitted with electric blanket, fresh linen with a winter rated doona. Towels plates bowel cups cutlery is supplied. Provided with the nightly costing is a power supply pack that will power up your electric blanket, lights for 6 to 8 hours so best to be conservative with power used as battery not charged again till 10am. No heater provided but well insulated. In paddock area are picnic tables where you can quietly watch the river for the resident platypus and trout's or enjoy seeing the Eagles flying above you or share your space with the many possums and padymelons. Fire pits are available and wood can be purchased, please advise upon booking. A short walk to the amenity block which consists of x4 very large shared bathrooms with showers, sinks, bench chair and toilet. Toilet paper is provided . There is a laundry with speed queen washing and drying equipment which is coin operated, as no reception atm please remember to bring your own gold coins and laundry powder.

Tassie Devil Pod 1 Your accommodation is self-check in; we do appreciate a text with your booking name to let us know you have arrived. Mobile:[xxxxxxxx] Tassie Devil pod 1 is your pod and located above our camping circle. (pictured as a tassie Devil) You will be able to park on the grass right next to your pod. Please drive very slowly as it is a camp site with persons walking freely. Located on the right side of your door you will find your key safe. Key code is 0111 Please leave key if key safe at check -out There is a red switch on the wooden box seat, turn that you will hear a beeping, that is your power turning on, it is solar powered so please use power sparingly otherwise power will run out throughout the night and charged each morning if the cables are connected do not remove. Turn off the red switch when checking out. You have access to all the bathrooms and laundry - with kettle, fridge, microwave, toaster. Please do not remove keys from the amenity block doors- leave key in door and lock from inside (It is a shared area) Please try to bring your own laundry detergent and gold coins for washer and dryer otherwise please ask our food van operator for coins and washing powder. Check in at 3.00pm Check out at 10.00am Please advise if you would like to purchase a bag of firewood $30 For convenience we have opened up a food van, We hope you will support our Russell Falls Tasty Traveler food van we have on site for our guests breakfast 730 to 930am dinner 430 to 730pm

A unique accommodation experience. The Wombat Glamping Pod 2 is a 4 by 4 meter insulated warm cozy camping pod with a 1 meter under cover deck. Inside bed configuration is a Queen bed as well as a bunk bed. Beds are fitted with electric blankets ( in colder months), Beds a all made up with fresh linen and a winter rated doona , A towel is supplied. Although pods are off grid they are fitted out with a 400amp battery that if used conservatory will operate lights and electric blanket for 6 to 8 hours so must be used wisely as packs are recharged each morning at 10am. Outside of your camping Pod you will have your own picnic table to enjoy seeing the Eagles flying above you or share your space with the many possums and padymelons. A short walk up the paddock is your amenity block which consists of x4 very large private bathrooms with showers, sinks, bench chair and toilet. Toilet paper is provided . There is a laundry with speed queen washing and drying equipment. Coin operated, We Have coins available to swap

The Tassie Tiger Camping Pod 4 is a 4 by 4 meter fully insulated wooden pod with a 1 meter under cover deck. Inside bed configuration is a Queen bed. portable bed option is available for children. Beds are fitted with electric blankets, fresh linen with a winter rated doona. A towel is supplied. Provided with the nightly costing is a power supply pack that will power up your electric blanket and lights for 6 to 8 hours so use wisely as power pack is not charged till 10am. Heater and fan will consume power faster. Outside of your camping Pod you will have your own picnic table where you can quietly watch the river for the resident platypus and trout's or enjoy seeing the Eagles flying above you or share your space with the many possums and padymelons. Fire pit is allowed between the months of April to October. A short walk up the paddock is your amenity block which consists of x4 very large private bathrooms with showers, sinks, bench chair and toilet. Toilet paper is provided . There is a laundry with speed queen washing and drying equipment. Coin operated, coins are available to purchase from reception. Fire wood is available to purchase $20 per bag
