This serene camp site was the perfect way to start my trip to Tasmania. I wish I could have stayed longer, but my schedule did not allow. They had the best set up for my self contained camper van, with a plug in so I never had to worry. I had cell reception the entire time. This made for easy on the fly planning and mapping. The fridge inside the hut was great to spread some of my food out and only bring what was necessary for the day trips. The outdoor table was an incredible spot for enjoying a meal without having to reconvert my bed. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, which means a lot as a solo female traveler. I loved the safe neighborhood and taking morning swims at Clifton Beach. The walk to the beach was very easy and the sunrises and sunsets were absolutely stunning. The bird songs in the morning were some of my favorite ways to wake up. I enjoyed the market near South Arm and some great hikes. Mt. Wellington was very easy to get to from here. Hobart city is near by and you can take the ferry in from Bellerive to go to the Salamanca market, with easy parking for the camper just down the road from the pier, both advice given by the lovely hosts. The local recommendations were spot on and I am very grateful for them. I look forward to returning to this paradise.

What a ripper camp spot. Private and close to the beautiful Clifton Beach and wonderful walks. Campsite exceptional with wooden deck and shed with fireplace. Outdoor shower a winner.

Lovely quiet and private. The hut is a nice bonus, as is the deck. I have mixed feelings because for the price, I would have liked a toilet. There is no dump point nearby which limits how long we could stay. The resident Bandicoot was nice to see. If you sit quietly outside it will come close. Perfect for a long weekend when you don't need to wash cloths. The limited tank water made me not want to wash cloths.

Beautiful Clifton Beach
Very peaceful. Loads of wild life including a cheeky Bandicoot. Easy walk to the awesome beach and fall asleep to the sound of the surf. Camp kitchen well set up with hot water! Including outdoor hot shower.

Located a block back from Pipe Clay Lagoon, in Allan and Lyn’s front yard. Gorgeous little humpy with indoor and outdoor seated area and deck. Tank water (limited) which seems to be the case for Clifton Beach. Seems a long way from anywhere but a quick drive in to Hobart. Serenaded by birdsong.

Beautiful Clifton Beach
A lovely property and exceptional hosts. Ease of parking and the amenities including a lovely bumpy with hot running water, fridge and outside shower to wash the beach sand off, was high on our tick list. The area is amazing and lots to see and do. The bird life and nearby beaches offer endless things to see and do.
We would highly recommend Lyn and Allan’s property as a go to place for caravaners.

Great little spot for a weekend getaway. Close to beautiful south arm beaches. Awesome little hut and wooden deck to park right along side. Made set up and pack down a breeze. Kids had a ball!

Beautiful Clifton Beach
We loved out stay at Allan & Lyn's place. It's such a beautiful, serene site.
Clifton Beach is just 5 minute walking, there is loads of birds and bandicoots around too.
We had a fantastic time.

Beautiful Clifton Beach
Really beautiful and well set up site. Very private setting. A very relaxing few days. Just a few minutes walk to one of the most beautiful headland bays in Tassie. Close enough to Hobart to do day trips into Mt Wellington and sightseeing in Hobart and surrounding areas.

What a great place to stay! The site was the perfect set up and only a short walk to beautiful Clifton Beach. The hot outdoor shower was a nice touch for rinsing off after the beach.

We totally enjoyed our stay on Lyn and Stuart’s peaceful spot near Clifton Beach. We weren’t expecting the fine comfort of a deck, comfortable rustic shed and outdoor shower. The short walk to the fabulous beach was a high point of our trip. And so convenient to Hobart for the start of our adventure really set us up right. Thanks for your warm hospitality, birds and little potaroo. We certainly hope to revisit this spot soon!

Beautiful Clifton Beach
Amazing hosts, gorgeous location and a spot we have come back to again and again. Close to airport, plenty of facilities nearby and beautiful beaches.
Directions were clear and extra information was provided about local cafe’s, beaches, walks and shops.
The cabin and boardwalk onsite are a brilliant addition to keep your vehicle/van clean whilst providing a secondary living area to cost up by the fire.
If you’re looking for a quiet location away from the crowds with natural scenery, this site is the pick of the options.

Beautiful Clifton Beach
Al and Lyn were amazing hosts. We felt well accommodated while staying at their hipcamp site.
The site is part of their property and incorporates a rustic studio room with fireplace. This was great for a bit of extra space to relax.
Nothing seemed too much trouble. We really appreciated their wonderful hospitality.
We would not hesitate to stay with them again or to recommend them highly to our family and friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights here. Cosy & protected. Great fire - wood supplied. Which was perfect as it was rainy & cold outside. Allan was easy to communicate with & super helpful when there was a alight hiccup with the Hipcamp portal. Must have your own toilet - there are public amenities not far (8-10min walk) at the surf club if you prefer. Loved the private outdoor hot shower. Sink, fridge &power. Was a great treat to extend out of our little caravan into our timber retreat Bird life & little bandicoots - there was even an elephant seal at Clifton Beach visiting !

This place is fantastic, easy to pull in with the big caravan. The setup is very private and the cabin and fireplace was very homely. Much more then just a caravan site! We will be back for sure.

Beautiful spot to camp up for a few nights! Such a little luxury to have the shed and fireplace at our convenience. Worth noting that the main house is relatively close to the campsite so not as secluded as we thought nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The Clifton Beach/ South Arm are is an incredible place but with real limited camping options. Allan and Lyns place was a refreshing option. The hut gave a bit of room to spread out and the deck was great compared to what we are use to Only a 10 minute walk to Clifton Beach and central to some great hiking options. There property is well maintained and privacy ensured

Beautiful Clifton Beach
The place was what we expected, nice clean facilities able to get out of weather and keep warm with combustion heater as we went kite surfing at the beach the shower was a nice relief when wet and cold.
