We loved being by the river it was very quiet and we enjoyed the tranquility. Extra thanks to James for helping us when we had a tricky situation with the van. The fresh eggs we took home were very tasty. The owners were friendly and helpful. Thanks Pauline!

Loved it. Great spot right on the river with the highlight being platypuses swimming each morning an afternoon. Easily one of the quietest places weve stayed and Paulines fresh sourdough delivered to camp was the best. Thanks for a great stay.

What a fabulous find this was. So quiet and private. Easy to find. We saw 2 platypus the 1 night we stayed. We highly recommend.

What an amazing site! No neighbours (other than a few cows in the neighbouring paddocks), amazing views, clean and tidy, perfect for us in swags/tents. In warmer weather that river looks ideal for a dip (maybe even fish?). Port-a-loo was tidy despite the rain and if you need a shower, cheap, Rotary supplied showers are 10 min down the road at Branxholm Centenary Park (card only). Can't recommend this place enough.

Absolutely loved this campground! Beautiful little isolated camp ground. You’ve got lush green hills on one side, and a beautiful river on the other. We saw eels, platypus, trout, river blackfish, fresh water craya and possums. If you enjoy camping to get away from civilisation and observe untouched nature, it doesn’t get any better than this spot.

This is by far my favourite hipcamp in tassie, its so beautiful down by the river and watching the platypus swim around makes it so much nicer.
Pauline also makes a wonderful sourdough and paired with her quince jam its unbelievable 😍

Beautiful spot to camp by the river. We saw 2 platypuses, yellow tailed black cockatoos, possums and a few tiny bats. As well as plenty of cows 😊. The portaloo was a very welcome addition to our stay. Thank you Pauline

We had a great spot on the creek.
Very great experience and pretty much creek to ourselves.
I would suggest a trim off grass on the creek side to enhance the pleasure of the wildlife.
Also be aware of the water pump that ran all night and the farmer driving clackity clack down the track at 6am…
Overall I do recommend it.

Very cute spot, super active river - the platypus was popping up constantly and there was lots of eel, fish, even a water rat all within 30 minutes of sitting by the river.

Picturesque and relaxing setting. Private and comfortable area to fully unwind. 😊 This was our second visit to the property, definitely won’t be our last. From platypus viewing to uninhibited meteor showing around the camp fire, my daughters both love visiting this site 👍🏼

Great cleared camping spot with a fire pit by the river. Lovely produce we picked up when we arrived. Enjoyed spotting the resident platypus each evening.

Lawns waist high, it was impossible to camp let alone dangerous next to a river with the possibility of snakes.
Bee nest directly above the camp site in the tree. Owner stated they were friendly bees!
Host not home when we arrived, doesn't answer phone.
We travelled for 5 hours with a dog and had to leave as it was impossible to camp in these conditions.
So at 2pm on a Friday afternoon we had to try and find alternative accomodation which we were not able to do. Totally stuffed our weekend camping holiday. Bread was crap and was not baked by someone who knows how to do Sourdough.

We failed to follow the directions properly and ended up at Pauline's house. Pauline was friendly and helpful. The track to the campsite is downhill and at times tricky with a 17'6'' caravan but easily navigatable however 20' plus vans may find it challenging. The campsite is by the river and has a fire ring which we used. There is a portaloo further along from the campsite which we did not visit. When camping it is best to drive into the site then easily reverse out when leaving. The only downside to the campsite was that the grass was not cut and the long grass impeded access around the van.

this site is incredible! i felt very safe staying here solo, and secluded enough that it felt very private. the site is well maintained, the views all around are spectacular, and Pauline looked after me with lots of firewood! i fell in love with Ringarooma as well. would be an incredible summer spot - i’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful, peaceful and all to yourself right next to the Ringarooma River. Perfect spot to unwind and relax. Fantastic to have a portable toilet at camp and Pauline was very generous with the wood. Pauline's sourdough and honey were delicious and well priced. Looking forward to coming back in summer for a swim in the river.

We very much enjoyed our camping trip to Pauline's!! It's so nice having the spot to yourself especially when you have a doggo who doesn't love other dogs. No stress just time to relax. I also got to see the resident platypus in the afternoon as well as early morning. Such a joy, we will definitely be back.

A great spot on the Ringarooma river, nice and secluded and great views of the surrounding green hills. The spot was easily accessible and we had plenty of firewood to keep us warm. We definitely will be back! Thanks for having us and the delicious sourdough!

Such a breathtaking spot. Utterly private, right next to a beautiful, clear creek and nestled amongst rolling green hills and wild forested mountains. We could sit by our fire and simultaneously watch as the resident platypus did her laps of the creek and the cattle grazed those green fields with the glorious colours of the sunset streaked overhead. Recommend and hope to return soon 🤍

Absolutely loved the stay at River Hole Paddock. The scenery was beautiful, and everything was so clean and well thought out. Especially loved the Sourdough making class with Pauline, received a Sourdough starter and a full written out recipe. Bonus points because our car battery ran flat and Pauline and her family were very responsive and more than helpful in giving it a jump start. We had unlimited wood and kindling for what we paid. Would highly recommend.
