We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince.

The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too!
Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground

The Craigbourne Dam is a all year round recreational fishing ground and stocks many species of fish i.e. Atlantic Salmon, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout to name a few.
Our property is a pet friendly park but we do ask all patrons to be considerate of the surrounding farmland and live stock .
As we are a fully self contained campground we do not provide power, toilets or showers. You'll need to have your own amenities and discard of any rubbish .

At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp.
The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic.
As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter.
Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby.
A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful!
Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat.
Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns.
The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin.
We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper.
The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water.
Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games!
There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service.
Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. The location was a great base to explore the island but also a peaceful and relaxing spot to "hang out". A big property with lots of different spots to set up camp and for the dog and kids to explore.

Great spot, by the river. Very quite except for 4am morning wake up call from a free range rooster across the river, but not enough to be any issue. Spotted a platypus very close in the morning which was a highlight. The site was easy to access. Great overnight stay.

I think we found our new favourite place to camp! We were absolutely blown away by the stunning views this beautiful property has to offer. I loved seeing the farm animals and wildlife on the property - even got to see a platypus in one of the dams on the property. James hospitality was great the sauna and the cold plunge pool was excellent. We enjoyed the weekend with them. Will definitely go back. It is a great place to stay right on the river .You can go for bush walk , bike rides ,ride into Derby. It is a great place to be based yourself.

We enjoyed the stay at Prosser’s, the view was beautiful, a really calm place, moreover, the toilet was absolutely clean and smelled good. There are many farepits onside and it is really spacious.

Spotted a platypus or 2 as we stayed right by the creek.
Bert is very friendly and helpful.

Great place to camp. A lot of open spaces to choose from. We chose to stay up the top where you could get a view of the ocean (which looked great under the full moon). This was great for our camper trailer and the ground was easy to peg into.
Nigel met us as we arrived and suggested where we should go to keep out of the wind and gave us suggestions as to where we should visit around the island.
The track up the hill and to the spots is a bit rutted out so you’d definitely need a 4WD to access the camp spots. There was fire wood there that we could have paid for to use but had brought our own. There’s also limited to no phone reception, which was fine but worth noting.
This campsite is a quick drive to the beach (2 tree point) and fairly close to adventure bay.
Nigel left us to enjoy our campsite and gave us a friendly goodbye as we left the next morning.

1 night at Valley's Nest
The things that stood out the most about the stay , was the position of the cabin , well thought out Layout of the site . BushGlamping that ticked all the boxes for us . Loved the Fire Bath with a view . The cabin windows allowed for good warming Before the evening Chill came through, and was warm all night thanks to good bed covers .
The View from the site was amazing thanks to good weather and sunsets, the mountains in the background are wild .
