There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. view fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wedge tail eagles or sea eagles wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife.

At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp.
The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic.
As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

Wattle Farm Camping is directly beside the Leven River: Your Wilderness Escape
Discover a tranquil retreat nestled on the edge of the wilderness, where the river and forest greet you at your front door. This naturally forested 100-acre property is a haven for abundant native wildlife, offering an idyllic escape into nature.
Things have been getting pretty busy and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who stay's. This summer we're acting on feedback and have reduced the total site numbers to 3. You can choose a location when booking. This is so everyone is ensured enough space. You can still book and camp with your friends on a site together, but it is X2 Vans max per site. When booking just add and pay for a second vehicle, then set up together on the site you booked.
There's an arial photo of the paddock that shows the Site Numbers 2, 3 and 4 you can select the one you want when booking. One other thing is the area just to the right of the bridge is now a shared area for all campers to use. Please don't set up a campsite there.
Natural Surroundings Activities:
Leven River Camping borders the Dial Range Nature Recreation Area and a Nature Conservation Reserve. Our sites are set on lush, green, fern-filled river flats within a sometimes misty forested valley, cradled below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. The surrounding area boasts popular hiking and mountain biking trails.
The Leven River itself is a highlight, offering some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. You'll also find perfect spots for kayaking, along with private river beaches where you can relax, paddle, swim, or enjoy a picnic.
Access to the property is via a very scenic 4km, well-maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the valley.
Important Information
No facilities are provided on-site. Guests must bring their own camping toilet (a dumping point is available in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and are responsible for all rubbish removal.
Campfires must be small and adhere to Tas Fire Service recommendations and regulations. **You can collect dry wattle from the paddock on the opposite side of the road from the campsites. Please keep fires small, manageable and attended at all times**

WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block in Four Mile Creek, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile.
The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, bodywork, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers!
The space has been designed to host large groups, so there are full facilities available to use, including 3 x compost toilets, a fully equipped communal kitchen with all plates, bowls, cups and cutlery, pots and pans, gas cookers and fresh running hot and cold water. There is also an undercover deck/hangout area, a shower block with 5 hot showers, and a wood-fired cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!).
There are walking tracks throughout the property, including a track that leads directly to the beach (15 min walk) and another to our on-site fresh water creek for plunging in!
We are surrounded by native wildlife and the property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus.
There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes.
We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno and Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park.
We only open up 5 sites at a time, to ensure everyone has plenty of space and a beautiful experience on the land.

Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter.
Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby.
A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful!
Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat.
Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast.
Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles.
At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't.
The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. This reconstructed building was once The Campania Scouts and guides, hall.

It's was a great place for the kids to play and ride bikes, paint rocks and just be in nature. Listening to the creek at night and beautiful birds all day was so lovely. We stayed in camp site 6 in a camp trailer. The weather was not on our side and everything was very damp but it is October hahaha. The owners greeted us and gave the kids some yummy marshmallows and even checked on us a few days later after the wind picked up (we were sheltered and fine) and brought more fire wood if we needed. They were so lovely. The kids loved spotting lady bugs throughout the site and Peter told us that all the painted rocks, lady bugs and fairy garden were brought in by campers that brought their own beautiful stories to the place. Highly recommend it. Peter and Kim are great hosts.

A fantastic quiet and sheltered location. We used this as a base for day tripping to Hobart. The weather on our second night was very rough however with the site nestled where it is we were still able to have a camp fire. Jenni is lovely and although it's only a small property the site is private enough. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend if you're having a look around the area or just needed somewhere close to Hobart to unwind for a few days.

Our night stay was awesome!! Camp sites are well spaced giving you enough privacy from the other campers, toilet was clean and nice, owners were lovely, everything was also extremely clean and tidy, the views were amazing and we both loved how it had a fire pit, table and fairy lights. Overall one of the best places I’ve ever stayed!! We will definitely be coming back! Thank you guys

Arrived to a well kept beautiful site which was really big. I mean really big. Lovely little stream right next to the fire pit. A massive fire pit higher up for if you have a larger party. Would be nice to see a grid of some sort if you wanted to use it as BBQ. Very quiet. Just the birds the babbling brook and stunning scenery. We will definately be back. Thank you guys for the awesome experience.

We enjoyed camping near the river and sitting by the fire relaxing while the kids enjoyed feeding the goats, playing at the playground and bike riding. We love forward to coming back in the summer to go swimming.

We had such a wonderful time camping! 🌿❤️ The kids loved running around, playing on the swings, enjoying the waterfalls, listening to the soothing sounds of nature, and hunting for ladybugs and of course the outdoor cinema 🐞💦
We loved how peaceful and quiet the place was, with plenty of space for the kids to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Most of all, we cherished the quality family time we spent together, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

I think we found our new favourite place to camp! We were absolutely blown away by the stunning views this beautiful property has to offer. I loved seeing the farm animals and wildlife on the property - even got to see a platypus in one of the dams on the property. Petrina and Nelson are great hosts, thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful property we will definitely be back again soon.
