SAME-DAY BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE BY 2 PM THANKS. Total numbers at the site are kept below 45 people for a more peaceful experience. Semaphore Farm is a 400-acre property with convict history, bordering the Po historic site. It is a private timber reserve and a working forest farm. We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained).

Tent Campers
Semaphore Farm is a lovely spot to camp. Great outlook and so close to Port Arthur historic site. Nice well kept grassy sites plenty to choose from whether using a tent, as we were, or caravan/campers. One long drop toilet and 1 shower only but everyone seemed to manage their timing around the use of these and only had to wait for the loo twice during our 3 day stay. This is pretty amazing as there were at least 10 to 12 campers/tents on site at the time. If you get up early enough you’ll never have to wait for the shower, which was lovely and warm. The kitchen area was good as well although we only used it for washing up. Didn’t get to meet our host but there was a caretaker on site who helped us out with firewood etc. Thank you for sharing your lovely property with us Adriana 🙂

Semaphore Farm N8 Tent Site
Great location with plenty of space to set up your own campsite. We used Semaphore as a base to explore the peninsula and really enjoyed our stay. The cherries for sale on the road into Semaphore were a nice bonus, and we loved being able to bring our dog along. We were camping in a tent and would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at Camp Semaphora. Our view was fantastic overlooking the water, grounds were immaculately kept and the care taker very hospitable. We would definitely stay again and recommend to families, singles and couples. Plenty of room, with camp kitchen, toilets and fire wood available for fire pits.
