If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints.
The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns.
The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin.
We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper.
The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water.
Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games!
There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service.
Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

Located just a 20 minute drive from the Hobart CBD, this beautiful 0.67 hectare coastal bush property is set in a little valley right by Kingston Beach, Browns River and Tyndall Beach. It's just a short 5 minute stroll down the road to the beach, or up the road to the start of the Alum Cliffs Track.
Activities you can enjoy here include birdwatching, bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing, bike riding, dog walking.
You'll be staying in a fairly new comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom tucked under my house. There's a double bed made up with fresh linen. You'll enjoy hot showers, a flushing toilet and almost complete privacy. There's mains water. With prior notice, you could use the washing machine inside the house and hang your clothes on the clothes line strung between trees.
Parking for two cars and/or caravan/campervan is easy. A circular driveway surrounds the house with a driveway extension.
I hope to build an outside kitchen at the nearby shed, but for now campers need to be self-contained for their cooking and washing up, or else take the short walk to Kingston Beach and the excellent cafes and restaurants there. Food scraps need to go in a compost bin on site.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy a fire when conditions allow it. Longer pieces of firewood are provided free of charge and kindling can easily be collected from around. (I'd rather you didn't use the shorter pieces of cut firewood as they are for my wood heater). You could enjoy a wood fired bush bath for a small charge, conditions allowing, with advance notice. Early evening is the best time to enjoy a bush bath and star gazing with set up in the afternoon.
Wildlife is abundant and includes birds, wallabies, possums, echidnas and bandicoots.
You are welcome to bring your small dog, but please ensure it's under control at all times. Wildlife are at risk if your dog is a hunter and roams free. Tyndall Beach (the Kingston dog beach) down the road is where your furry friends can have a run. Walk them to the beach on a lead and let them off there. I have an older Jack Russell who is afraid of big dogs, sorry.
I think this is the perfect place to experience a little bush luxury before beginning or ending your Tassie adventures.

Our cosy private tiny house/shack. It is close to beaches and a lagoon. The Bay of Fires is 40min north and Wineglass Bay/Freycinet National Park 1hr south.
Relax night and day in a fire pit lounge area crafted with dry stone (large soft cushions included) plus an outdoor fire bath. A small separate shed houses a flushing toilet and gas hot water shower. The block has mains power; solar power and tank water. The block is surrounded by local endemic shrubs, trees and ground covers.
We provide firewood, linen for the comfortable double bed, condiments for the fully equipped kitchen that includes crockery, cutlery, a fridge, a gas cooker, air fryer, sandwich toaster, camp oven, water etc. Just bring your clothes and food.
The block is in a quiet coastal hamlet (with gravel roads and no street lights) ideal for beach and lagoon activities (surfing, walking, paddling, bird watching). Our 2 person sit on kayak is at the tidal lagoon 5 min walk away.
We have crafted this space over a number of years for personal use and now would like others to experience it. Stargazing from the fire bath is a must do feature especially in winter. Dog/pet friendly.

The Narawntapu National Park is a lovely walk from the caravan park. It takes you along the foreshore all the way to Bakers Beach.

Located an hours drive North West of Hobart near the quaint little town of Ouse (pronounced - ooze) and set on the pristine Derwent River. Like so many of the towns on the Derwent River, this region is very popular with bushwalkers, fishing enthusiasts, and mountain bike riders.
Overlooking the "pot-belly" of the Derwent River, This place is a fishing and kayaking heaven . Have a swim in summer, kayak or go for an adventure on your mountain bike. There are two kayaks and two SUPs you are welcome to use. And there is a boat ramp just a few kms down the road to launch your boat.
The Bunkhouse is a beautifully built structure, with large windows and plenty of space. It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs.
The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Instead, we'd recommend bringing a small portable bbq with you to set up by the river!

Boho Cottage is our haven for recharging and reflection nestled in the stunning surrounds of the Tasman Peninsula area. We spend every possible moment here, relaxing, exploring, walking, swimming, fishing, surfing, dreaming — and like us, we hope that every guest who stays will love it as much as we do.
The cottage is located a short walk from the white sands of White Beach and a short drive from Port Arthur Historic Site, natural geological attractions, amazing walking tracks and secluded bays. Featuring 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, updated kitchen and bathroom and an open plan cosy living and dining area. All beds and appliances have been purchased new with the intention of providing you with a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. There are two staircases off the front deck but reasonably flat access is provided at the rear of the property which will be your first entry point.
We have gone to some lengths to include a wide selection of DVDs, games and books to keep you occupied in the house. We strongly recommend a daily walk on the beach and that you explore the many many attractions located on the Tasman Peninsula. Just prior to your stay you will be sent a unique code to access the property. The access code will promptly expire at the conclusion of your stay. The keypad for the access code is located at the entrance door under the carport at the rear of the cottage. The majority of the property is free for you to access. The garage has been excluded but there is a large carport which we suggest you use given that the property is surrounded by natural bush. We are available by phone from 8 am to 8 pm if you have any questions during your stay. We would love it if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests. Please please let me know as soon as you can if there are any issues at all so I have a chance to take the appropriate action to ensure your stay is it should be – totally stress-free and relaxing!! As I am not in the area I am unable to personally check the house before your arrival – I am heavily reliant on my housekeeper and I need to know as soon as possible if you and therefore me have been let down in any way by the presentation of Boho Cottage.
The Tasman Peninsula has an abundance of things to do and see. White Beach itself is perfect for all beach activities, including boating, fishing, swimming, beachcombing, relaxing, snorkelling, kayaking etc.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Bohemian Beach Shack. A beautiful, characterful and very private property with a huge garden that our dog absolutely loved. The shack had everything we needed, and Mike and Sheena were wonderful, caring and responsive hosts.
The beach is just a 5-minute walk away and was stunning — we often had it completely to ourselves. A truly peaceful and special place to stay!

The things that stood out the most about the stay , was the position of the cabin , well thought out Layout of the site . BushGlamping that ticked all the boxes for us . Loved the Fire Bath with a view . The cabin windows allowed for good warming Before the evening Chill came through, and was warm all night thanks to good bed covers .
The View from the site was amazing thanks to good weather and sunsets, the mountains in the background are wild .

Private; fenced - though not suitable for small escapees or jumpers, and thoroughly maintained and stocked. Books, puzzles, games, kitchen gear, charging cables, etc. Headlamps were supplied as well for those midnight toilet runs 🤣
The fire bath was an absolute highlight; easy to use and so relaxing; bath salts were even supplied!
The indoor fire made everything toasty; dried wet clothing/towels and provided an amazing ambient glow.
They even had a large doggy bed inside and there was no discrimination against my larger dog. (German Shepherd)
The gas shower heated up so quickly and was also easy to use. Shower products provided too.
The beach was a comfortable 5 minute walk away, on even ground and on-leash pet friendly.
The community was quiet and very clean.
Michael and Sheena communicated great and were close on hand for any issues - though I had absolutely none!
The only downsides - likely specific to my weirdness. 😅
The kitchen sink is outside, away from the kitchen. If your like me, enjoy eating late and don't like having dishes left over, bring a basin to wash up in so your not outside washing up in the dark.
There's a taller than normal step up into the seating/sleeping area, I injured my knee the day before going and found that step challenging. Full mobility people will have no issues at all.
Overall 5 Stars, Teddy and I will definitely be returning when we next have the opportunity.

Barb is an amazing host, the cabin is modern and clean, and the bush retreat is in such a perfect spot! Peaceful, surrounded by beautiful bushland, great day hikes, and you can hear the ocean as you doze off, such a perfect little spot to reset.

Weekend Trip to Valley's Nest
Valleys Nest made an impact on me and my partner Alana … the hidden oasis is clearly a bi-product and a testament to the essence and philosophy of its creators. There’s an obvious harmony with nature at the forefront of its build, a mission to rewild ourselves once again and to deepen our connection with the land we tread on everyday. Valleys nest was everything we hoped it would be, a fresh reminder of our role in the cosmos, a chance to stare up at the stars and remind yourself where you sit in that hierarchy. After 10 days of sleeping in our car travelling the full coast of Tasmania, this was the perfect reward for my brave partner who held her head high in many cold dark nights in the wilderness…

2 nights at Bohemian Beach Retreat Tiny House
This BoHo tiny house was absolutely delightful , Michael has thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay including a super comfortable and cosy bed. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised.
We were toasty warm within moments of lighting the inside fireplace after watching the sunrise and set each day on the most gorgeous swim safe beach only 5 mins walk from the property. It’s a mission but walking to Scamander is doable.
Outside it a beautiful big fire pit and private fire bath to enjoy the stars without any light pollution, just perfect.
We did not bring our dogs this time however, keen to bring them along another time in future after assessing the fully fenced yard. Perhaps a few spots to watch out for if you have a Houdini dog but overall it’s a pretty safe environment for a pup.
A whimsical cosy little property that is exactly as you see in the pictures for this site. I felt relaxed as soon as I jumped out of the van.

1 night at Valley's Nest
My boyfriend and I had the loveliest time at Valley’s Nest! We stayed during winter and despite majority of the accomodation being outside, with the amenities provided we were able to have an incredible time despite the chill :) The fireplace in the room swiftly warmed up the space, which consisted of a very comfortable bed and incredible views! The fire bath was an added bonus which really made the night for us. Thanks for having us Abby!
