Each of the 3 cabins can warmly accommodate up to 4 guests split between two bedrooms, they are self-contained with their own bathroom and a modern equipped kitchen. Choose between 2 king singles or join them together should that suit you. The split system Air Conditioner will keep you warm in the winter, and cool in the hotter months while you relax inside to a movie on FOXTEL or plan the next days adventure together. Every guest is invited to enjoy the gazebo that looks out into the heart of the Mutual valley while enjoying a glass of Tasmania's finest wine and sharing a tall tale of two around the fire. Derby Forest Cabins is perfect for groups up to 12, families, friends, and anyone seeking a peaceful slice of Tasmanian forest to relax in.

Our cabins are located within Mutual Valley, amongst the lush forest and on the banks of the beautiful Ringarooma River, with the best mountain biking Tasmania has to offer. Each cabin is a private self-contained cottage that sleeps up to 4 people. Featuring 2 bedrooms with beds that can be offered in multiple configurations to best suit your needs, you'll have a comfortable night’s sleep after a big day out. Bedding configurations include two king-sized beds, 4 king-single beds, or 1 king-size plus two king-singles. The kitchen has a fridge, gas cooktop, microwave, toaster, and coffee machine. We also provide everything you’ll need to cook such as a saucepan, plates, and cutlery. We have made sure you will be kept warm during the cooler months with a heat pump in the main living area. We have also installed ducted heating vents in each bedroom. Come summer time you can flick on the air conditioning and keep cool after working up a sweat exploring Derby. Our covered balcony is the most picturesque spot to enjoy your morning tea or coffee with the local wildlife. It is also the perfect place to unwind with a drink at the end of the day. Derby Forest Cabins is suitable for groups up to 12, families, friends, and anyone seeking a peaceful slice of Tasmanian forest to relax in. In addition to your self-contained cabin you will also have access to: Fully equipped bike workshop and washing facilities Free laundry usage Extra shower and toilet for after a super muddy ride Large communal kitchen, BBQ, and dining area featuring a fire pit
