Base Camp - Campsites
great place to stay if you're spending time bushwalking around Tasmania. the facilities (showers, full kitchen, laundry) are great, and Alana and Steve are friendly and helpful hosts. the abundance of wildlife on the property (mainly pademelons and wallabies) is a lovely experience. overall a great place to base yourself while exploring the south and east of Tasmania

Beautiful sanctuary
Steve and Alana are terrific hosts and their property is a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary for animals and humans alike. The shared facilities including kitchen/dining/lounge, laundry, showers are excellent and clean. We were tent camping so didn’t use the family cabin or dorm cabins but on inspection they looked great. Steve and Alana are passionate about their sanctuary and our kids enjoyed talking to them and helping to feed the resident wallabies and pademelons there. Would stay again. Recommended.
