Bruny coastal camping & funky barn

3 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents8 acres · Adventure Bay, TAS
Paddock camping or upgrade to the Funky Barn at cheap rates for bruny! Situated on a small coastal farm above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island 2 options available: Comfortable lodging (rustic but stylish converted horse barn) with a double bed in the loft, clean sheets provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. There is also a Camp site available for just one booking crowd at a time in a relatively flat area. If the weather is wet you can choose to camp next to the roofed shelter if the horses arent there. The camp area and barn are in a peaceful location in a pasture paddock on 8 acres with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It's a picturesque 10 minute walk through the light bush and along the cliff top coastline to the neck beach or just five minutes walk down to the sea cave. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and privacy. Dogs are subject to pre-approval but must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. The property boundary is fenced so there is plenty of exercise space. Horses are usually only here during the winter. And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn . This is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

Cape Raoul Escape

2 sites · Lodging, RVs40 acres · Stormlea, TAS
Near the entrance to Cape Raoul NP and Shipstern Bluff, this is 40 private and picturesque acres of farmland with two sites. The first is suitable for self-sufficient stays if you have a small campervan or camping. Not suitable for caravans or bigger motorhomes due the steep narrow driveway. There is power available on the switchboard approx 20m from the most level part of the pad next to the uninhabited tiny home. I suggest cautiously reversing down the approx 50 driveway to take advantage of the stunning view. The area near the water tank is the most level. The second site is a beautiful Self Contained Tiny Home. See the stunning Sea Cliffs of Cape Raoul which is part of the world famous Three Capes Walk and it's also close to Port Arthur, The Remarkable Cave and McHenry's Distillery. A beautiful place to stay for a night while you explore this beautiful area. NOTE, while the view is amazing this is a very hilly block and dangerous if you're not comfortable reversing your van.

**Please note, due to the rugged nature of the property, children under the age of 10 aren't allowed. Thank you for your understanding. Located an hours drive North West of Hobart near the quaint little town of Ouse (pronounced - ooze) and set on the pristine Derwent River. Like so many of the towns on the Derwent River, this region is very popular with bushwalkers, fishing enthusiasts, and mountain bike riders. Overlooking the "pot-belly" of the Derwent River,  This place is a fishing and kayaking heaven . Have a swim in summer, kayak or go for an adventure on your mountain bike. There are two kayaks and two SUPs you are welcome to use. And there is a boat ramp just a few kms down the road to launch your boat. The Bunkhouse is a beautifully built structure, with large windows and plenty of space. It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs. The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Instead, we'd recommend bringing a small portable bbq with you to set up by the river! You're welcome to bring pets too.

3 Sheep Farm is set on a beautiful pasture with amazing Carlton River views. Discover where the salt water meets the fresh, with lots of amazing bird life, a short drive to many beaches, vineyards, distilleries, and parks. It's quiet and private. We have 3km of our own hiking trails, and great mountain biking. Drop your kayak or fishing rod in just a few meters from the property.
