Located just a 20 minute drive from the Hobart CBD, this beautiful 0.67 hectare coastal bush property is set in a little valley right by Kingston Beach, Browns River and Tyndall Beach. It's just a short 5 minute stroll down the road to the beach, or up the road to the start of the Alum Cliffs Track. Activities you can enjoy here include birdwatching, bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing, bike riding, dog walking. You'll be staying in a fairly new comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom tucked under my house. There's a double bed made up with fresh linen. You'll enjoy hot showers, a flushing toilet and almost complete privacy. There's mains water. With prior notice you could use the washing machine inside the house and hang your clothes on the clothes line strung between trees. Parking for two cars and/or caravan/campervan is easy. A circular driveway surrounds the house with a driveway extension. I hope to build an outside kitchen at the nearby shed, but for now campers need to be self-contained for their cooking and washing up, or else take the short walk to Kingston Beach and the excellent cafes and restaurants there for a bite to eat. Food scraps must go in the compost bin on site. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a fire when conditions allow it. Longer pieces of firewood are provided free of charge and kindling can easily be collected from around. (Please don't use the shorter pieces of cut firewood as they are for my wood heater). You could enjoy a wood fired bush bath at extra charge, conditions allowing, with advance notice. Early evening is the best time to enjoy a bush bath and star gazing with set up in the afternoon. Wildlife on the property includes birds, wallabies, possums, echidnas and bandicoots. You are welcome to bring your small dog but please ensure it's under control at all times. Wildlife are at risk if your dog is a hunter and roams free. Tyndall Beach (the Kingston dog beach) down the road is where your furry friends can have a run. Walk them to the beach on a lead and let them off there. I have an older Jack Russell who is afraid of big dogs, sorry. This is the perfect place to experience a little bush luxury before taking off on your Tassie adventures. I very much look forward to meeting you!

Like so many of the towns on the Derwent River, this region is very popular with bushwalkers, fishing enthusiasts, and mountain bike riders. Overlooking the "pot-belly" of the Derwent River,  This place is a fishing and kayaking heaven . Have a swim in summer, kayak or go for an adventure on your mountain bike. There are two kayaks and two SUPs you are welcome to use. And there is a boat ramp just a few kms down the road to launch your boat. The Bunkhouse is a beautifully built structure, with large windows and plenty of space. It's two storey, with the upper open-plan level accommodating 8 people in single bunk beds. A further two guests can sleep on the large sofa bed downstairs. The bunkhouse is fully self-contained with a kitchenette, toilet and shower.Clean sheets and blankets . Wi- Fi and streamed TV movie channels Please note - this is not the ritz! It's a simple bunkhouse, providing shelter to sleep, in a great location. If you wish to make use of the firepit, you'll need to BYO wood, this firepit is not often used. Located just a 20 minute drive from the Hobart CBD, this beautiful 0.67 hectare coastal bush property is set in a little valley right by Kingston Beach, Browns River and Tyndall Beach. It's just a short 5 minute stroll down the road to the beach, or up the road to the start of the Alum Cliffs Track. Activities you can enjoy here include birdwatching, bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing, bike riding, dog walking. You'll be staying in a fairly new comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom tucked under my house. There's a double bed made up with fresh linen. You'll enjoy hot showers, a flushing toilet and almost complete privacy. There's mains water. With prior notice you could use the washing machine inside the house and hang your clothes on the clothes line strung between trees. Parking for two cars and/or caravan/campervan is easy. A circular driveway surrounds the house with a driveway extension. I hope to build an outside kitchen at the nearby shed, but for now campers need to be self-contained for their cooking and washing up, or else take the short walk to Kingston Beach and the excellent cafes and restaurants there for a bite to eat. Food scraps must go in the compost bin on site. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a fire when conditions allow it. Longer pieces of firewood are provided free of charge and kindling can easily be collected from around. (Please don't use the shorter pieces of cut firewood as they are for my wood heater). You could enjoy a wood fired bush bath at extra charge, conditions allowing, with advance notice. Early evening is the best time to enjoy a bush bath and star gazing with set up in the afternoon. Wildlife on the property includes birds, wallabies, possums, echidnas and bandicoots. You are welcome to bring your small dog but please ensure it's under control at all times. Wildlife are at risk if your dog is a hunter and roams free. Tyndall Beach (the Kingston dog beach) down the road is where your furry friends can have a run. Walk them to the beach on a lead and let them off there. I have an older Jack Russell who is afraid of big dogs, sorry. This is the perfect place to experience a little bush luxury before taking off on your Tassie adventures. I very much look forward to meeting you!

Located just a 20 minute drive from the Hobart CBD, this beautiful 0.67 hectare coastal bush property is set in a little valley right by Kingston Beach, Browns River and Tyndall Beach. It's just a short 5 minute stroll down the road to the beach, or up the road to the start of the Alum Cliffs Track. Activities you can enjoy here include birdwatching, bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing, bike riding, dog walking. You'll be staying in a fairly new comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom tucked under my house. There's a double bed made up with fresh linen. You'll enjoy hot showers, a flushing toilet and almost complete privacy. There's mains water. With prior notice you could use the washing machine inside the house and hang your clothes on the clothes line strung between trees. Parking for two cars and/or caravan/campervan is easy. A circular driveway surrounds the house with a driveway extension. I hope to build an outside kitchen at the nearby shed, but for now campers need to be self-contained for their cooking and washing up, or else take the short walk to Kingston Beach and the excellent cafes and restaurants there for a bite to eat. Food scraps must go in the compost bin on site. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a fire when conditions allow it. Longer pieces of firewood are provided free of charge and kindling can easily be collected from around. (Please don't use the shorter pieces of cut firewood as they are for my wood heater). You could enjoy a wood fired bush bath at extra charge, conditions allowing, with advance notice. Early evening is the best time to enjoy a bush bath and star gazing with set up in the afternoon. Wildlife on the property includes birds, wallabies, possums, echidnas and bandicoots. You are welcome to bring your small dog but please ensure it's under control at all times. Wildlife are at risk if your dog is a hunter and roams free. Tyndall Beach (the Kingston dog beach) down the road is where your furry friends can have a run. Walk them to the beach on a lead and let them off there. I have an older Jack Russell who is afraid of big dogs, sorry. This is the perfect place to experience a little bush luxury before taking off on your Tassie adventures. I very much look forward to meeting you!

This weekend was a birthday present for my wife. She loved it at Valley’s Nest. Calm and peaceful with beautiful view. Very comfy bed, lovely fire that kept us warm. She had a long bath on Sunday taking in the view again. We also loved exploring Fingal and St Mary’s. Great meal that the St Mary’s pub and watched a platypus in the River running past the pub. Great weekend.

We loved that our dogs could come along with us — it made the weekend feel even more special having them there. The space itself was perfect — simple, cosy, and had everything we needed. It was so nice to switch off, unwind, and enjoy the quiet by the beach. The fire bath was such a highlight — sitting in the warm bath in the rain was pure bliss. Not only were the views spectacular, in daylight & at night, but this place really did make someone like me, who doesn’t like to camp, appreciate the experience even more. The potbelly stove was bliss in these cold evenings & made sure we were never cold. The long drop was the best we had ever used - super clean & smell less! The swing & open verandah were my constant go-to for taking in the views when not cooking & warming up next to the fire, and the bath - just wow! Super warm with the most spectacular views! The whole experience was just so magical & we wont be only visiting once! For anyone wanting to reconnect to nature without too much effort, this is for sure an experience worth booking! The location is absolutely stunning. It's surrounded by gorgeous forest, you can hear nothing but the wind in the trees and the birds. Yet despite the seclusion there is still a coffee cart in walking distance often set up at the nearby lookout. The bus is surprisingly well insulated and is kept warm with the fireplace even when the temperature drops to freezing outside.

We really loved staying at Michael and Sheena's place. We were looking for a place to have a cosy weekend away with a fire bath and fire pit. On arrival everything was set up for us, fire in the pit and under the bath. All we had to do was fill up the water and light the fires. It was a lovely romantic getaway. Falmouth is a lovely destination with long sand beach, lagoon and rocky boldery Shaw line to explore rock pools. The accommodation had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and warm. The place was nestled in between to house but we had plenty of privacy. We could watch the stars, listen to frogs in the evening and drids during the day. As a bonus, Michael and Sheena had a cd player and plenty of cds to listen to which were right up our alley. Lived our time here, Michael was a great communicator and checked in with us.

The cottage is located a short walk from the white sands of White Beach and a short drive from Port Arthur Historic Site, natural geological attractions, amazing walking tracks and secluded bays. Featuring 2 beautifully decorated bedrooms, updated kitchen and bathroom and an open plan cosy living and dining area. All beds and appliances have been purchased new with the intention of providing you with a most comfortable and enjoyable stay. There are two staircases off the front deck but reasonably flat access is provided at the rear of the property which will be your first entry point. We have gone to some lengths to include a wide selection of DVDs, games and books to keep you occupied in the house. We strongly recommend a daily walk on the beach and that you explore the many many attractions located on the Tasman Peninsula. Just prior to your stay you will be sent a unique code to access the property. The access code will promptly expire at the conclusion of your stay. The keypad for the access code is located at the entrance door under the carport at the rear of the cottage. The majority of the property is free for you to access. The garage has been excluded but there is a large carport which we suggest you use given that the property is surrounded by natural bush. We are available by phone from 8 am to 8 pm if you have any questions during your stay. We would love it if you could message us when you have arrived safely and also a message on leaving is appreciated so we can clean as early as possible for our next guests. Welcome to Wobbly Gate Estate! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the northwest coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the woodfired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, it's a Tasmanian version of luxury camping. Our Yurt location is known as The Top Paddock - A Little Inside Information: Well in my opinion (and a few others) I am Living The Dream! I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down. I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient. The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed. It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals. There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting. It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding. You should come see for yourself 😉

Hand built and cultivated for over twenty years, we are a Bio-Dynamic farm employing Permaculture design principles in both house and gardens. The farm showcases a diversity of environmentally sustainable living. Our unique self-contained cottage features bamboo floors and artisan crafted Blackwood windows. There are two bedrooms, comprising of a Queen bed suite and the second having comfortable twin bunks. The separate dining and living areas have a warm and spacious feel. A fully equipped kitchen is stocked with continental breakfast provisions and seasonal farm produce will be available for you to sample. A sun drenched patio is the perfect place to enjoy magnificent views and bird life. The farm is nestled into native bushland. The pre-existing clearing of five acres has been transformed into orchards, kitchen gardens, animal runs and structures for the home and visitor accommodation. A substantial orchard of fruits, nuts and berries, along with a vegetable garden, milking goats and laying hens provide plentiful supplies of produce year round.
