The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. We await your visit. *Some important notes before you book: - Campers must have their own toilet and must remove all waste and rubbish. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all time. - River water is available but drink at own risk. - We recommend a strong vehicle, and a 4WD when towing caravans as the road in is steep. - This is a quiet peaceful place, and to respect the wildlife and other campers we have a strictly no generators, amplified music or unnecessary noise. Strictly maximum of 2 camp vehicles (i.e. caravans/campers etc.) and 6 people per site. Please note: there is a water pump station at the northern part of the site on the opposite side of the river adjacent to sites 7-9. This pump station does emit some noise during periods of operation.

River access over a rocky, uneven embankment as it's a natural, untouched environment, just how we and the native animals like it. Campfires ONLY PERMITTED when fire restrictions aren't in place. Our main campground has 10 sites and is accessible for standard cars. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Camping is located in an idyllic spot beside the Leven River, on a 100-acre natural forested property. The property fringes the Dial Range nature recreation area and a nature conservation reserve. Camping is on river flats within a lush, green, ferny, and sometimes misty forested valley below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. Very nearby, there are popular hiking and mountain biking trails. Adjacent to the camping area, the Leven River offers some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. There are places to kayak, along with private river beaches where you can sit and relax, enjoy a paddle, swim, or have a picnic. Camping on the river flats allows tents and campervans to settle into grassy clearings amongst the Wattles on the left side of the road. Larger vans can set up on a larger cleared grassy area on the right side of the road. Both areas are just before the bridge. There is plenty of open space to throw a frisbee or play a game of cricket. The property is accessed from a very scenic 4 km well maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the the valley. ***Please note there are no facilities. Please bring a camping toilet (there's a dumping point in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and your own rubbish collection. Campfires are permitted when there are no local fire restrictions in place .

If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp close together although we dont allow big noisy, disruptive groups anymore! Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy or are traveling in groups we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is accessible for standard cars. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. Leven River Camping On Wattle Farm

Camping is located in an idyllic spot beside the Leven River, on a 100-acre natural forested property. The property fringes the Dial Range nature recreation area and a nature conservation reserve. Camping is on river flats within a lush, green, ferny, and sometimes misty forested valley below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. Very nearby, there are popular hiking and mountain biking trails. Adjacent to the camping area, the Leven River offers some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. There are places to kayak, along with private river beaches where you can sit and relax, enjoy a paddle, swim, or have a picnic. Camping on the river flats allows tents and campervans to settle into grassy clearings amongst the Wattles on the left side of the road. Larger vans can set up on a larger cleared grassy area on the right side of the road. Both areas are just before the bridge. There is plenty of open space to throw a frisbee or play a game of cricket. The property is accessed from a very scenic 4 km well maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the the valley. ***Please note there are no facilities. Please bring a camping toilet (there's a dumping point in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and your own rubbish collection. Campfires are permitted when there are no local fire restrictions in place .

Cethea was a great place to camp nr Cradle mountain. I booked on the day and was really impressed by the kitchen facilities, power outlets and hot showers. It was winter and cold and I was really touched at being offered a hot water bottle and felt very looked after. 100% recommend.

I contacted Peter and Kim after seeing a photo on their website of a tiny, rare blue mushroom called Pixie’s Parasol. I have been fungi spotting for almost 10 years without finding any so asked if I could visit their gorgeous piece of paradise for a day in the hope of seeing one. Peter was so very kind and helpful, greeting me (and my dog) on arrival, showing us the stunning forest and eventually leading us to a moss-covered fallen tree adorned with the tiny blue gems. It was exquisite being in the cool, green forest, soaking up the ancient vibes and serenity. Thank you Peter for your generosity and warm welcome.

We had a lovely stay at this quaint campsite. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of care into creating a welcoming space — from the tin of marshmallows and card games, to the fairy lights strung up around the site that gave it a magical feel in the evening. The firewood bundle we purchased was generous (definitely good value), and it made for a great night around the campfire. The hosts checked in on us just enough to make sure we had what we needed without intruding — really appreciated that balance. A perfect little spot to slow down, unwind, and enjoy nature with a few thoughtful touches that made it feel extra special. Would definitely come back.

Scott was friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful. We loved the big lake and the swing chair to sit on to relax and look out for platypus’s. It was quiet and peaceful and we would have taken the boat out in the lake if the weather had of been better. The BBQs around were very handy and the portaloos were clean. When to go

The best time to visit Mole Creek Karst National Park is during the warmer months, from October to April, when the weather is pleasant for cave tours and picnics. Winter can be cold, and some facilities may have reduced hours, so always check ahead for seasonal changes.

Know before you go

  • Always dress warmly for cave tours, as temperatures inside are a constant 9°C, regardless of the season.
  • Sturdy walking shoes are recommended to safely navigate the caves' stairs and uneven surfaces.
  • Check for any track closures or safety alerts before your visit, such as the current Fern Glade track closure.
  • Remember, this is a fuel stove-only area; open fires are not permitted.
  • Accessibility is limited within the caves, so visitors with mobility impairments should be aware of the tour requirements.

Better signage would be helpful in locating national park ticket office but loved our tour of the caves - Marakoopa was great to see the glow worms and the fern glade walk to the cave entrance was really enjoyable!
