We loved our stay in Mandys paddock by the creek! It was so quiet and peaceful and we had it all to ourselves until the last few days. We came for a few days but stayed for 2 weeks. It made the perfect base camp to poke out from and kayak the lakes, see soooo many waterfalls, caves and climb Mt Roland. With Railton and Sheffield nearby we could top up with food and fuel. The locals were very warm and welcoming. Will definitely stay again

We spent two lovely days here! The spa was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the big swing. The host was very welcoming, and once she is able to complete all her plans for the site, it will be fantastic. PS take some fly spray.

This is my second stay here , I was shocked to have the place to myself.
Such a tranquil quiet camp backing onto to the river.
Watched the platypus play for hours in the evening .
Love staying here .

Mandy’s property was quiet and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the river. The refreshing swims and clear skies are exactly what every camper wants. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and they even gave our two little ones a ride on an ATV, which they absolutely loved.
The only downsides we encountered (pun intended 🐜) were a swarm of flies, likely due to cattle on neighbouring land across the river, so it’s best to come prepared. There were also a few wasps around—but that’s the outdoors, and it’s to be expected in this type of environment.
Additionally, the channel of the river can create high winds at times, which can be a little aggressive, so keep that in mind when setting up camp.
Overall, it’s a nice spot and a relaxing place to stay.

We were a little unsure where the hipcamp was and thought we were lost until we saw the small sign on the gate. The paddocks had recently been mown ready for baling and it was difficult to see the actual track to our site but we found it without too much trouble. It was very quiet and peaceful. No water in the spa. Small bridge across needs a rail as it felt a bit wobbly. Level area on site 1. No walking tracks etc. nearby but OK place to rest up.

Great spot right by the river. Perfect for families with small kids to play in pockets of the river. Kids of all ages found something to do from kayaking, riding inflatables, fishing and assembling “dams” with all the rocks. Not an iPad in sight!

Couldn’t check in before 2pm so we waited as we thought that someone would come and tell us where to park but no one did so we had to message the owner to se where to park as We had no idea where we were supposed to go no site allocated

It was a great location. Easy to find. It could do with some maintenance and I dont believe it should state a hottub as it was empty and the surrounding area was not appealing.
Overall though our stay was peaceful.

I was alone but because I could only choose 1 sites I figured others would be there. Some ppl came in and set up but left again. I also thought it was river frontage but it wasn't.. i assumed as in the blurb someone would be around but saw noone..it was ok but not great..I did not stay in the end I left

I loved having a site for my campervan at Mandy's property! lush grassy flat site, so close to the river and the vista is amazing! Also close to the Warm Springs what a bonus taking a walk and quick dip there!

Traills Corner was nice to camp at but not well maintained.
Grandkids had a great time in the Mersey River with paddle boards and small boat going over the small rapids. Jumping off the pole and swimming.
Everyone was disappointed that the spa bath was dirty and couldn't be used.
Grass was long which wasn't good with the damp conditions of the weekend.
Eels were caught, fish were seen in the river.
The warm spring pool in town was also disappointing as has not been maintained, very overgrown with weed.
Had to use 4x4 to get out as the overnight rain had made the road slippery up the slight hill.
Would I go again?
Yes but would hope that the area is in better condition. Grass cut, bath clean.
Never saw Mandy but did have a chat with her hubby/partner who was nice to talk to.
We did call at the house a couple of times but no one there.

Lovely spot by the river, kids all loved being able to swim and paddle board, spent hours in the river. Great open spot.
Area could be a bit better maintained, grass a bit too long, fire pot areas overgrown, few too many thistles. Warm spring bath not usable which was a shame. Lots of potential with a bit of TLC.
