Beautiful located right beside the Ringarooma River. Fish in the river, swim or just spot a platypus in the river. There is a kayak that you are welcome to use to have a paddle in the water. We have a 40ft shipping container now on site, this has books and games you are welcome to use during your stay. It also has jams, sauces and honey for sale. You can now find us and follow us on Facebook. Search Derby Frasers Flats. No Motorbikes to be used on site. No motorbikes to be used at this camp. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. Quiet location perfect place to stay for a few nights. Awesome quiet spot to get away. Property is on a working dairy/beef farm. Wood available for sale at camp to use in fire pits for just $10 a tub. We have just put in a private dump point for guest convince. By arrangement if time permits I can arrange for a cost of $20 per person a look at our dairy during milking.

Great location, easy to find, right next to the river, flat and quiet. Nice fireboats and large sites. We have been previously and Rosie has made some improvements since.

An absolute paradise! Beautiful location, spacious sites with plenty of room. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy peace and tranquillity. Rosie is friendly and very helpful. Easy access to Derby and surrounds. We absolutely loved this place, highly recommend (although we want to keep it a secret so we can keep coming back and have it all to ourselves!)

Such a lovely location with river & rural views. Plenty of space between sites and thoughtful touches to enjoy your stay eg. access to board games, kayaks & homemade jams. We definitely will be back.

We stayed 3 nights but felt like we had a 3 week break. It was that good. Easily pulled in with our 17’ caravan. Short walk to each of the two river access points. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk through the river to a track that leads to Derby. Rosie has put so much work into making campers feel welcomed and at home. We look forward to visiting again.

Lovely grassy sites next to the river. The provision of firepots is a huge plus (and wood can be purchased) Derby is really close by for those wanting to ride the bike tracks. Host was lovely and welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great spot down by the creek, camp sites are well spread out. Kid enjoyed the room to run around and playing of the tyre swing. Rosie is a great host and visits and tells you about her farm and local attractions.

Peaceful, quiet and private. We were about 200 metres away from all other campers. Certainly beat staying in Derby with the crowds.

Loved our stay at Frasers Flats. Such a great find to get out of the hustle and bustle of Derby itself, yet so close. Nice and peaceful, plenty of room and a beautiful outlook. Would definitely recommend.

It’s so peaceful. You don’t have the crowds like Derby. It’s a shame that we couldn’t go and explore the river crossing to get to the Branxholm/Derby track. There were campers right where it is and we didn’t want to intrude on their privacy so had to drive to Derby to ride. We’ll definitely be back though.

Had a great stay at site 3 . Quiet and relaxing. River is a lovely spot but cold for me to go for a dip . Rosie is a lovely host came and welcomed me to her property and gave me fresh eggs for breakfast which were delicious. Highly recommend this Hipcamp stay. Close to Derby .

2 nights stay without a soul in sight! Same price as the local non powered caravan parks which were pretty full at the time. Makes no sense to me why you wouldn't stay out there. Rosie was lovely. So much to do especially with kids and dogs. Would return!

We highly recommend this camping spot - we had a wonderful stay at Fraser Flats. Rosie was a great host, making us feel welcome and sharing her knowledge of the area. The property is beautiful 🌄 h The bird life is diverse 🕊️ plus other cute critters 🦘🐄🐝🦋. We loved seeing the platypus at dusk and dawn - a real highlight! The facilities were great, with kayaks and hammocks available for use. In the shed there is more info about the town, books, toys, some local honey, jams and sauces 🤤 + more. Rosie's created a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing getaway. We'd love to come back! ✨

Lovely quite spot away from Derby (7min drive to the main MTB shops) creek access where we spotted platypus. Had the whole place to ourselves. Lovely owner!

Rosie’s place was absolutely beautiful. Such an excellent layout and all the extra thoughtful touches (kayaks, shipping container with games etc) made it super special. The icing on the cake was the inquisitive platypus we could have watched for hours. We wished we had more time in our trip because we could have stayed here for days. The best campsite we stayed in while we were in Tassie hands down! Thanks Rosie and Allen for sharing your slice of paradise.

AMAZING. They’ve nailed it. Trout, Platypus, birds and beautiful surroundings all within an EPIC 1km walk/bike ride to Derby. We loved Derby but appreciated our own space (Derby town campsites were sardine cans in comparisons to Fraser’s flat) once each day ended. Finishing the day with a dip was also greatly needed. We definitely didn’t stay for just one night and there are many more highlights to our stay that you’ll only discover by staying in person. Many Thanks to Rosie and her gang.

Set on pristine river flat on a dairy farm the only sounds heard were from the running river, the occasional cow and many birds. Exceptional value for money can ride or walk around 1km to Derby. Rosie is very knowledgeable in sights to see in the area and great friendly host.
